I have often heard your trials of growing up Catholic.  Try growing up Pentecostal!  Uuuugh!
I agree that Ashcroft is bad news for anybody who has gotten past the 1940's, and is more interested in the present.

HERE IS THE PROBLEM:  I know that there ARE Democrats out there with enough balls to speak the truth.
The reason I read your page every day is you are one of them.
But, the Dems in the senate ARE NOT!  Do you really believe that a chickenshit society
such as the senate Democrats, of whose members not ONE would rise up with
Maxine Watters and protest the coup d'etat, will actually take John Ashcroft down?

I don't think so.

If you won't stop the theft of a presidency, you won't stop much else.
If we are forced to remove these so called "democrats" one at a time, then so be it.
Primaries are coming baby!

The self you save today, Mr. Senator, is the ass you may
be sacrificing in 18 months or so!

That said, please understand, Bartcop, WE are with you, but THEY aren't,
and THEY are the ones who vote.

Subject:   Clinton's Dover speech

bartcop,
I watched that speech on c-span, and when clinton left the podium, I was in tears.
You should reprint some of that speech. It was so great, and I don't even like to listen
to speeches or lectures. In this speech, one can truly see:

1. what a great man clinton is;
2. what great advances clinton/gore made while the media, etc. was focused on the president's pants and;
3. how incredibly and frighteningly full of hate the clinton haters are.

Subject:  Ass-croft

New to Bartcop, and I love it! Thought I'd pass this along. Americans United for the Separation
of Church and State (www.au.org) has some good articles that are getting the truth about
Ass-croft out, and they made an excellent point about him and Bob Jones University.
His speech there proves he's a liar!

Ass-croft is saying that he wasn't aware of the school's record of racial and religious bigotry,
but he accepted an honorary degree from the school, and in his speach at the school, he
thanked God it exists, and praised it's history and commitment to principles that they share with him!

So either:

He's lying now and did know what a cesspool the place is and happily swam in it
or he lied to the school and was talking out of his ass when he spoke to them!

So much  for being a man of "Character and Integrity."
Men with those qualities don't lie!

All US Senators are claiming he's a "man on intergrity" because they think their little club is so special.
We learned during impeachment that there are 100 lying partisans in the Senate.
Besides, any clubs that would have Jim Inhofe (R-Pissquik) and Jesse Helms is, by definition,
a club that allo\ws petty, hateful shits in their membership.
