To whom should I complain? Did I tell this,
Who would believe me? O perilous mouths,
That bear in them one and the self-same tongue,
Either of condemnation or approof;
Bidding the law make court'sy to their will:
Hooking both right and wrong to the appetite,
To follow as it draws!
~Measure For Measure
ACT II, scene IV
What the hell is going on???
I feel as though I know in my heart, soul and ever fiber of my being
that BIG AL is right,
and his cause just, and if we don’t do this right then it is the very fiber of our country at stake.
Are we democrats just nicer than the republicans? Do we not whine as
Do we just not believe in physically threatening people because we have moral ethics?
Or is it because we just live with the childish notion that the good guy always triumphs over evil?
That, like our parents taught us, if you tell the truth, and do the right thing you’ll always come out ahead?
Play fair! No one likes a cheat!
It is almost too absurd to be believed; yet it is happening right before
The press and the media perpetuating lies about votes being recounted, when they’ve only been
counted by a machine that’s proven incapable of accurately reading some ballots, that each machine
count total has been different, and that there has never been a complete manual recount as initially requested?
It is too absurd that in this, the dawn of the 21st Century, that anyone
of any race or creed in our country
today could be denied the right to vote. That a man could get away with murdering his wife even though
there was overwhelming DNA evidence to prove his guilt. That a man in Wyoming was beaten and left to
die hanging on a fence because he was gay, another man was dragged from a truck in Texas because he
was black, a child here in California was gang raped because she was 'slow witted', and in Florida within
the past week people who were counting votes were physically threatened, one man beaten, and all
intimidated into stopping their legal job.
Yes, it IS too absurd to be believed. I think that is what the
GOP and The Poppy Bush-Baker Group
are counting on. No one seemed to get upset when illegal arms were illegally traded to get hostages
released all behind the back of the then current administration. So why shouldn’t they get away with this?
I remember a great line from CAMELOT, when Arthur has the revelation
about creating a justice system,
“..no no no no, not Might is Right, Might FOR Right. I thought that the conservatives were into happy,
fluffy, feel-good musicals…. Oh yeah, I forgot, there is adultery and incest in Camelot.
Things that never happen in the real Republican world.
