Subject: Re: Kerry & Bush sitting in a tree, k-i-s-s-i-n-g

Bart,

It is so easy for Angel of Mercy to allege a secret skull-and-bones pact
between Kerry and the BFEE, the hard part is making any sense out of it.

I agree - what we saw in 2004 made no sense at all,
but what we need are answers, not more questions.

In such a scenario, what does Kerry have to gain?

Funny you should ask.
Why would Kerry enter a race that he was reluctant to run?
He not only entered the race, he muscled out others who almost certainly
would have fought harder and would have fought longer before surrendering.

How would such a pact be beneficial to Kerry at all?
I can come up with several ways it has hurt him.

-His name has been dragged through the mud during the campaign  (By
both Bush and his insistence on wearing monkey costumes)
-He is seen as a lame duck loser by most of both parties.
-Swift Boat Veterans for Truth.

Etc. etc.

Why did Kerry refuse to defend himself?
Why did he allow the Swifties to massacre him without returning fire?
He promised a fight and thern he went to sleep.
If Bob Shrum told him "You can't fight back," Kerry should've said, "You're fired, loser."

Will he be a cabinet member?  Not bloody likely.
In charge of a high profile senate committee?  Not bloody likely.

The simple answer to all of this is
1.)  Kerry was a HORRIBLE campaigner and speaker.
2.)  Bush and his cronies are in charge of counting the votes in crucial states.

-Marco

Marco, so why did Iowa and New Hampshire elect "a HORRIBLE campaigner and speaker?"
And why will they do it again in 2008?

Let's trust the future of America
to two OTHER states next time, OK?

The Democrats could start working now to ensure a fair election in 2006 and 2008,
but noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.

They'll f-ing wait until 30 days before the election like they did in 2004 - and then
be shocked to find out there's not enough time left to affect the crooked election.

How many times can we step in the same damn hole?

Subject: Did Kerry Plan to Lose?

Hey Bart,

You were right all along.
I WANTED to believe Kerry was fighting hard enough, and that reason would prevail.
But all along, I found myself yelling at the TV set almost nightly:
"Bush is LYING!  Say it!  Say he's lying!  Fight back!  Don't take that bullshit!  Fight back!"

He didn't.

All the work... the signs, the stickers, the letters, the phone calls, knocking on doors in poor neighborhoods,
armed only with a stack of voter registration forms and a message of hope.... HOPE WE NO LONGER HAVE!

Like so many life-long Democrats, I worked so hard believing what we HAD to believe.
And he didn't fight back. WHY WHY WHY didn't fight for US?

God, it hurts.

We just need to pick a fighter next time.
Screw the promises of a fight - I want to see a Democrat with a history of fighting back.

...do we have any of those?
