1. There is a distinct singular American culture - rugged individualism and self-reliance - which made America great.
  2. A distinct culture? So, everyone in America is exactly the same? The way I learned it, this country was a melting pot of a number of different cultures. And, as I remember, on the frontier, it took COOPERATION and PEOPLE HELPING EACH OTHER in order for the town to survive. The only thing that the conservative version of individualism and self-reliance got us was mill owners forcing women to work in dark, dangerous environments for 14 hours a day and railroad tycoons who had no problem with the fact that hundreds died building their railroads – all to increase THEIR wealth, and everyone else be damned.

  3. The vast majority of the rich in this country did not inherit their wealth; they earned it. They are the country's achievers, producers, and job creators.
  4. Pure bullshit. People who do not inherit wealth come into by luck – in other words, the stock market, getting a promotion by being at the right place at the right time, etc. Most people who are wealthy had wealthy parents who sent them to the best schools, made sure their other wealthy friends got their children jobs, and rig an election for them…oops, did I say that out loud?

  5. No nation has ever taxed itself into prosperity.
  6. No nation ever came into prosperity by letting the rich get richer (see: France, 1700’s; Spain, early 1900’s).

  7. Evidence refutes liberalism.
  8. What evidence? Our founding fathers were liberals. Anyone who has studied political science would say that people like Rush are actually CLASSICAL LIBERALS – a true conservative (i.e., Edmund Burke) does believe in larger government, more taxes, but wants things to stay where they are.

  9. There is no such thing as a New Democrat.
  10. And your point is…?

  11. The Earth's eco-system is not fragile.
  12. It isn’t? Tell that to the birds dying out west from drinking the sulfuric acid used in leeching copper from ore. Tell that to the numerous species wiped out because of reckless destruction of the Brazilian rain forest. The point is, yes, the earth could recover, but what is the point if humanity chokes itself to death in the process? Since when do we have the right to recklessly destroy that which God has created?

  13. Character matters; leadership descends from character.
  14. I will grant that character lends much to leadership. However, what is character? Is character owning up to past mistakes? (Clinton) Is it not ratting out someone else to save your own ass? (Susan McDougal) Character is built by living through bad times, or making mistakes, and learning from them, and using that knowledge throughout life. Most conservatives grow up rich; consequently, they know nothing of bad times and believe that God forgives their mistakes and therefore they need learn nothing from them.

  15. The most beautiful thing about a tree is what you do with it after you cut it down.
  16. By that reasoning, a deer is not beautiful until you blow its head off and tie it to your truck. A field full of wildflowers is only beautiful when it is plowed up and a strip mall is placed there.

  17. Ronald Reagan was the greatest president of the twentieth century.
  18. A man who cheated on his first wife, did not meet his son until he shook his hand after giving a commencement speech, was never more than a B-movie actor (and not a good one, at that), manipulated the press, committed treason with the Iran-Contra affair, ran up the largest debt in American history, is our greatest president? And why didn’t you vote for him, Rush?

  19. The 1980s were not a decade of greed but a decade of prosperity; it was the longest period of peacetime growth in American history.
  20. Yes, they were defined by greed. The attitude of the nouveau riche of the time is summed up nicely by Michael Douglas: "Greed is good." Why else do you think "Wall Street" won an Oscar. If it wasn’t about greed, what was with the 13% unemployment in 1982? And, Rush, economists agree that the 1990’s are the longest period of SUSTAINED peacetime economic growth.

  21. Abstinence prevents sexually transmitted disease and pregnancy -every time it's tried.
  22. Yeah, Rush, you should know all about abstinence…pretty much describes you until age 30, doesn’t it?

  23. Condoms only work during the school year.
  24. What?? So, the material magical breaks down between May and September? What the fuck does that mean???

  25. Poverty is not the root ("rut") cause of crime.
  26. Not all of the time. Just look at all those rich people getting busted for tax evasion and embezzlement. Poverty leads to desperation; desperation to feed oneself leads to crime.

  27. There's a simple way to solve the crime problem: obey the law; punish those who do not.
  28. Translation: put all those damn niggers in jail. Should Bush, Reagan, and their cronies be punished, Rush? How about Nixon? Hmmmmm?

  29. If you commit a crime, you are guilty.
  30. And you are INNOCENT until PROVEN guilty.

  31. Women should not be allowed on juries where the accused is a stud.
  32. Translation: women are so incredibly stupid as to let a mass murderer walk because he’s cute. Is someone a little bitter about their love life, or what?

  33. The way to improve our schools is not more money, but the reintroduction of moral and spiritual values, as well as the four "R's": reading, 'riting, 'rithmatic, and Rush.
  34. No, the way to improve schools is to attract more bright, energetic people to the teaching profession, which means PAYING THEM MORE!! Trim down bloated administrations, quite blaming teachers for students not learning, and quit relying on moronic standardized tests that DO NOT measure intelligence.

  35. I am not arrogant.
  36. And yet, you consider yourself as important as reading, math, and writing.

  37. My first 35 Undeniable Truths are still undeniably true.
  38. No.

  39. There is a God.
  40. Yes, and His son told us to help out the poor, be tolerant of each other, and learn how to get along. At least, that’s what I found in MY bible. Maybe I’m crazy.

  41. There is something wrong when critics say the problem with America is too much religion.
  42. What critics are these? I have never heard this in my life. I think it’s bad when we focus on how often our presidential candidates go to church and read the bible.

  43. Morality is not defined by individual choice.
  44. So it should be legislated, Rush? Is THAT what you’re saying? More government, eh?

  45. The only way liberals win national elections is by pretending they're not liberals.
  46. Because morons like you have made it a dirty word. They don’t SAY they’re liberal, but they are.

  47. Feminism was established as to allow unattractive women easier access to the mainstream of society.
  48. So, we should discriminate against ugly women too? Christ, this is almost a pathological hatred of women.

  49. Follow the money. When somebody says, "It's not the money," it's always the money.
  50. Hmmmmm…like getting making $25,000,000 a year to spout the "truth." Would you do this job for free, Rush?

  51. Liberals attempt through judicial activism what they cannot win at the ballot box.
  52. So do conservatives (see: 2000 presidential election).

  53. Using federal dollars as a measure, our cities have not been neglected, but poisoned with welfare dependency funds.
  54. So, our cities would improve if only we cut off the only source of income many people have? Yes, our cities would drastically improve if we had even MORE homeless people and abandoned buildings.

  55. Progress is not striving for economic justice or fairness, but economic growth.
  56. So, we should not try to better ourselves? We should not try to give everyone a chance? Real Christian of you Rush. Don’t you remember, "Man cannot serve two masters?"

  57. Liberals measure compassion by how many people are given welfare. Conservatives measure compassion by how many people no longer need it.
  58. Since when? No liberal enjoys giving out welfare; we only see the necessity of it as a social safety net. Compassion is measured by how you care for people, not by telling them to go fuck themselves.

  59. Compassion is no substitute for justice.
  60. What is justice? Is justice getting 10-15 for stealing a thousand-dollar car while someone who evades millions in tax gets maybe a year? Isn’t justice supposed to be fair? And why can’t we give people another chance? Believe it or not, there are a lot of people in prison who REALLY never want to go back, and want to go straight – I’ve worked with some.

  61. The culture war is between the winners and those who think they're losers who want to become winners. The losers think the only way they can become winners is by banding together all the losers and then empowering a leader of the losers to make things right for them.
  62. So, the "losers" should just give up? While we’re at it, let’s just set up a caste system. That’s what you conservatives want, isn’t it? To be the new aristocrats?

  63. The Los Angeles riots were not caused by the Rodney King verdict. The Los Angeles riots were caused by rioters.
  64. And what sparked them? The Rodney King verdict.

  65. You could afford your house without your government - if it weren't for your government.
  66. No, if it weren’t for the wealthy purchasing old houses and renting them, you could afford a house. Instead, we have a bunch of suburbs and subdivisions where mostly only the UMC live. Oh, yeah, and thanks to the low availability of houses in the cities, real estate prices have gone up. The government has nothing to do with it.

  67. Words mean things.
  68. REALLY? HOLY SHIT!!!!

  69. Too many Americans can't laugh at themselves anymore.

And neither can you, Rush.
