Perplexed

When will the tide turn? When will the American people finally wake up from the Nightmare on the Potomac?
I’m referring, of course, to the heinous antics of Bush-Cheney Inc.

Having trashed the economy with purposeful intent and stage-managed a world-wide recession, they
are now busy driving a run away tank disguised as a Missile Defence Plan. They have directed events
so that their views will dominate the debate.

The tax cut for the wealthy was a boon for the military industrialists and they’re hoping to blind you to
their real intent with the now twinned P.R. spin of Patriotism ( increase military spending ) and Greed (
300 dollar pay off ).

Everyone is aware of the infamous Black Budget Operations that the Pentagon, NSA and CIA run
with absolute impunity.
Is there no movement in America for an accounting of this cumbersome bully boy?
Doesn’t anyone remember Ike’s last speech? He warned you of the dangers of the Military Industrial Complex.

    "In the counsels of Government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted
    influence, whether sought or unsought, by the Military Industrial Complex. The potential for
    the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists, and will persist. We must never let the weight
    of this combination endanger our liberties or democratic processes. We should take nothing
    for granted. Only an alert and knowledgeable citizenry can compel the proper meshing of the
    huge industrial and military machinery of defence with our peaceful methods and goals so that
    security and liberty may prosper together."

Unfortunately, even though JFK tried and died in the attempt, the Shadow Government won out.
Through Johnson and Nixon they established themselves, and then went to ground after the twin
debacles of Watergate and Vietnam. They waited while Carter was undermined and broke forth again
under Reagan-Bush.

Again they were exposed due to the Iran/Contra/Crack scandal.
Remember what Senator Daniel K. Inouye said?

"There exists a shadowy Government with its own Air Force, its own Navy, its own fundraising
mechanism, and the ability to pursue its own ideas of national interest, free from all checks and
balances, and free from the law itself."

I won’t get into the Clinton Administration’s dealings with the Military and their Minions, suffice to say
I would be quite critical of Mr. Clinton’s kowtowing to the Five Star brigade. Especially regarding the
catastrophic Plan Colombia policy. But you got the feeling that Clinton at least questioned policy once in a while.

Now that Poppy’s idiot son and his own hooligans ( Abrams, Reich, etc ) are back in charge, there are
no checks or balances.
That giant sucking sound you are about to hear is the massive increase of tax payer funds being
imbibed by the gigantic maw of the Black Budget.

And what are they going to do with it? Let me tell you, there are many ways to play with toys.
Weapons in space is a priority, so is increased testing of electro-magnetic technologies. Oh, and
bio-tech warfare is being seriously studied as well.
You know, genetic manipulation of the food supply.

I wonder when the American people will wake up from the nightmare?
I can’t imagine you’re sleeping very well.
