Barty, old stick,
Your pages amused me, provoked me and many times angered me as you unflinchingly read the riot act to those deserving (un)souls.
A definition of art is that it stimulates an emotion...
Bart, you were an artist.
RIP.
I'll miss you like I miss a friend.

I have been reading Bartcop for 16 years ever since I found him by accident during the evolution of the internet. His wisdom, common sense and humor were addictive. I never knew his given name until this past Friday, and I didn't need to know it. He was a kindred spirit who will always be in my heart. I will miss you my friend.

It was an honor to attend his service at Floral Haven. That being said, Terry seems like the best friend I never met.
Debbie, I'm sorry that we had to meet under this circumstance.

So long, Bartcop! You'll be in my thoughts and prayers. If you can, get the Big Guy's ear and maybe you can wield the Supreme Hammer.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Bartcop's departure from the mortal plane. May he rest in Peace. I've followed Bart since around 2000, and he was instrumental in helping me establish BruinDesign.com as a place to drop in for seditious humor. Terry was living proof that all in Oklahoma aren't backward hillbillies.

I'm eternally grateful for Terry and his work on BartCop. I was in a deep depression after the reelection of George W. Bush in 2004. Following his site got me through it with its honesty, insightfulness, and great sense of humor. It was cathartic and made me realize I was not alone. Thank you Terry, and rest in peace.
