Inhofe and the Old/New Republicans
  by Richard Fricker

Sen. Inhofe of Oklahoma may be the poster boy of modern Republicanism, the guy who
puts the certainty of his instincts and ideology ahead of contrary facts.

The nearer the issue of global warming has gotten to center stage the more vitriol Inhofe has
poured on environmentalists, scientists and the media. Environmentalists became "Nazis,"
the regulators at the Environmental Protection Agency were the "Gestapo," the media's
references to global warming were a "hoax."

Inhofe's stubbornness is tinged, too, by his reliance on fundamentalist Christianity to interpret
political events, including the 9/11 terror attacks... "I believe very strongly that we ought
to support Israel; that it has a right to the land. This is the most important reason:
Because God said so," Inhofe added, citing the Biblical passage in Genesis 13:14-17.

FOX Launches Nazi comedy show
Features vulgar Pigboy as President, Coulter as VP

This weekend, Fox Whore News channel launches the Half Hour News Hour.

As the title suggests, the program is not entirely serious. Nor is it entirely fair and balanced.
It is intended to counter Jon Stewart and give Nazi gasbags all the best lines.

A previewed clip President Rush Limbaugh refusing to take a call from Nancy Pelosi.
The Pigboy's VP is Ann Coulter.  As President Limbaugh tells viewers to stay tuned,
Coulter warns, "And if you don't, we'll invade your country, kill your leaders and
convert you to Christianity."

I dopn't understand what they're trying to do.
FOX Whore News already does fake news - they make shit up.

Is this just FOX Whore News with a canned laughtrack? Besides, the heroin addict already tried
TV and he had to empty the studio because his audience couldn't stand his horseshit humor.

We should expect more of that "Chelsea is the White House dog," kind of hilarity.

Al Franken enters Minnesota Senate race

Al Franken said he would seek the Democratic nomination to challenge Norm Coleman (R-Rat Bastard)
and immediately acknowledged the doubts voters may have about electing a former SNL performer.

"Minnesotans have a right to be skeptical about whether I'm ready for this challenge, and to wonder how
seriously I would take the responsibility that I'm asking you to give me," Franken said in a video on his Web site.

"I want you to know: Nothing means more to me than making government work better for the working families
of this state, and over the next 20 months, I look forward to proving to you that I take these issues seriously," he said.

Any who ever heard his radio show knows he's serious about this and Franken knows more
about the issues than most of those blowhard bastards who vote for bills they've never read.

I predict victory for Al, but that won't be too hard to achieve.
I expect Her coattails to be long, deep and wide.

Why I Hate Her
 by Ralph Nader

Accusing Hillary of having "no political fortitude," Bush enabler Ralph Nader says he will
join the fray for the 2008 elections if Democrats end up nominating her as a candidate.
"She's just another bad version of Bill Clinton," Nader remarked to some dude in California.

"Flatters, panders, coasting, front-runner, looking for a coronation, not taking on the huge waste
in the military budget as a member of the Armed Services commission, never going after the
corporate crimes against pensions, against workers.... She has no political fortitude," Nader said.

Boy, he'll do anything to help the GOP stay in power.
Nader loves this war, he loves big business and he'll lie on the tracks
if he thinks it'll stop the greener candidate from kicking BIG OIL out of power.

Nader is another Lee Hamilton.

Subject: Hillary - rookie cop answer

In the case of the rookie cop, the authorities give him a gun in case deadly force is required,
but the rookie cop doesn't get to decide by himself what situations meet the requirements.

Those decisions and scenarios are given to him as part of his training and must correspond and
comply with all applicable laws, which cannot be changed on the fly by the cop or the police hierarchy.
The authorities cannot issue instructions to disobey any law.

I guess it's the "must be used" part of your question where it breaks down -- the "must" is to be
decided by the authorities who are responsible for training the rookie cop, not the rookie cop.

I disagree.
No matter how much training he has, a cop will run into crazy situations.

If he sees a drunk grab the wheel of a school bus full of kids, he may have to pull the trigger
to save the lives of 20 innocent children - isn't that why he was issued the gun in the first place?

But if the rookie cop is stupid and crooked and planned to shoot a bus driver for profit,
the crooked cop should blamed, tried and jailed - not the city who trusted him with lethal force.

I know the "get Hillary" crowd wants their pound of flesh.
But it kills me that they want it so bad they're willing to put pro-surge McCain in the White House.

"I haven't been there (Iraq) you have, I haven't."
-- Bush, when ducking the question of Iraq's civil war
So was his 2003 Thanksgiving trip to Iraq as fake as the turkey he was holding?     Link

I generally don't buy the conspiracy theories, but this would be so easy to fake.
As I remember, the only footage we saw was Bush in that one tent.

It would be so easy to tell the other soldiers, "Sorry you weren't in the tent Bush chose to visit."

Fake turkey, fake president, fake war, fake photo-op?

Subject: False analogy

Bush already had the gun (U.S. military) and the authority to act in the event of a clear and imminent threat
against the United States (War Powers Act of 1973).  The AUTHORIZATION FOR USE OF MILITARY
FORCE AGAINST IRAQ RESOLUTION OF 2002 stated that "The President is authorized to use the
Armed Forces of the United States as he determines to be necessary and appropriate in order to --

 (1) defend the national security of the United States against the continuing threat posed by Iraq; and
 (2) enforce all relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions regarding Iraq." (emphasis mine)

The rest of the resolution dealt with reporting requirements.

Nothing in the resolution required a new Security Council resolution mandating military enforcement of inspections.
It authorized unilateral, aggressive war based entirely on Bush's say-so.  It authorized Bush to use force at his
discretion before the threat was even established.  It was basically a "shoot to kill" order given a full month before
the search warrant (U.N. Resolution 1441) had even been issued.  And due to the broad language of the resolution,
it absolutely authorizes the open-ended occupation we currently have in Iraq right now.

"Broad language?" I'll guess you're right about that.
"Shoot to kill?"  Well, yes, in a defenseive war I think our commanders need that authority.
But Bush lied about the threat - why give him a pass at Hillary's expense?

In your opinion, were the congressmen and senators who asked that a higher standard of evidence
be offered before agreeing to give Bush the authority to use force in Iraq as he pleased, wrong?

Time was a factor.
Bush said Blair said Saddam could hit us WITHIN THE HOUR!
It's easy to go back and say, "They should have known what we know now," perhaps simliar to
the doctors and nurses stuck in Katrina who had to make drastic decisions on the facts they had at the time.

If you're up for it, my fellow forum posters and I would be happy to engage you in a healthy,
productive debate on the relative merits of voting in favor of or against the resolution in question:

Sgt Darrell

Dude, I am SO up for that, but how can we dabate a 2003 question with 2007 knowledge?

Was OJ Simpson a cool dude to hang with back in 1994?
Sure he was - he was the life of the party.

One Mother's Tale: Moon & Her Son
  by Robert Parry

Originally published in 1997, this article describes what Rev. Sun Myung Moon's hardball
recruitment tactics did to families -- and how his organization preyed upon unsuspecting
Americans to raise money. Moon could be viewed as just one more religious charlatan if
it weren't for his close ties to the Bush family and other top Republicans...

Subject: Hillary's 'vote for war'

I'm one of those folks who heard the evidence, remember talking about it with friends and family.
We're all well educated, reasonable people with a better-than-average understanding of history
and foreign policy - and we were all split as to whether or not attacking Iraq was necessary,
or if there was a real case for fighting, and the case for the WMD evidence.  I was suspicious
that Bush was pressing so hard for the authorization "in case it was needed".

People forget that Hillary voted for this BEFORE it came out that the documentation was forged,
the evidence was fixed, and that the BFEE was manufacturing the case.  Knowing what she knew,
and what the rest of knew, she would have been irresponsible to say no.

Some Democrats don't want to hear that.
Some Democrats want to believe that Hillary knew all along that the CIA was lying.

Why are so many Democrats are willing to bash Hillary and help the Republicans by doing it?

Some Democrats see themselves as purists who'd rather lose with "honor and dignity"
than win with someone who isn't 100% in-step idealogically with every demo splinter group.

That kind of thinking might give us four more years of a GOP White House.

I'm tired of losing.

One other thing?
There are (so far) three serious Democratic contenders, Hillary, Obama and Edwards.
Edwards and Hillary voted the same way, and Obama didn't have a vote to cast on the war.

It's real easy to have an opinion when it doesn't count.

Nobody can say how Obama would've voted if he had to weigh the consequences of explaining
his "ignore the evidence" vote to his constituents after a major Iraqi attack on the East Coast.

Woodward the GOP Tool

Woodward says don't make too much out of Hillary's lead because
back in early 1991, nobody knew who Bill was.  I know Woodward
is a liar and a whore, but I didn't think anyone in politics was this stupid.

Hillary is the most admired woman on the planet. I can't even tell you who Number Two is.
In any country (maybe not North Korea) people come out by the tens of thousands to cheer her.

She has a huge lead, top-quality name recognition and a mountain of cash
because people want to bet on a winner and they will not tolerate a loser.

...but Woodward wants you to know Vilsack is just as likely to win as She is.

Prince Harry - off to Iraq?

Britain's Prince Harry will be serving in southern Iraq by the end of the month with his army regiment,
probably taking part in reconnaissance missions near the Iran border, a newspaper has reported.

A Ministry of Defence spokeswoman said the Daily Mirror report was "entirely speculative" because
no final decisions have been made on which units will relieve the 19th Light Brigade currently in Iraq.

But a senior military source told the Mirror that the decision has been made to send Harry,
a second lieutenant in the Blues and Royals Regiment.

"The final details are being sorted, but he is definitely going.

Subject: You are a not a true liberal

As a Muslim and  a loyal reader of this website, it never ceases to amaze me that on the issue of Israel,
guys like you and Bill Maher (both smart people), are gutless when it comes to speaking about any of the
many racist policies of Israel. That does not fall in line with true left wing thinking people.

Religious insanity turns brother against brother, friend against friend.
Why would a rational agnostic want to get stuck to that Tar Baby? (Homage to Tony Snow.)

Truth is, both sides are legitimately insane, and you want me to chose sides?
The Jews think the number 5 is Satanic, the Muslims think the number 8 is Satanic,
and you want me to side with one of them on which number is more Satanic?
In 1928 issues, I'm not sure I ever said this before, but I'm too smart for that.

The whole world sees what the Israeli Likud is up to, but somehow that escapes you. I am not asking you
to hate Israel. Just be fair. Hillary Clinton and other American politicians are too afraid of what the fascist
AIPAC will do to them if they ever spoke out. Unfortunetly, so are you.

Don't mistake wisdom for fear. A man in my position fears very little.
I will admit, on a practical level, one can't be elected president if they are seen as hostile to Israel,
so in that regard you're right. But don't hold Hillary to a higher standard than our last ten presidents.

BTW, didn't she catch a lot of shit for kissing Arafat's wife?
Didn't mean anything to me, but lots of people took that as "Hillary is a Jew hater!"
which is kinda further proof that, even if you're a Clinton, there's no escaping this trap.
Religious insanity breeds this crappola, and I refuse to step in it.

Your approval of Dan Gillerman's statement is evidence to that.

Wait, is Dan Gillerman the Israeli ambassador to the UN?
Why would you assume I endorse what he said?

Dan Gillerman is a hardcore zionist and Zionism is the worst type of racism on earth.

ha ha

And Bart, as America's Zionist leader, stands firmly behind Dan Gillerman?

There are many marvelous Jewish intellects that are
banned from Israel because they oppose these racist policies.

Sounds like proof that this subject is so devisive, the Jews hate each other over it.
And then you ask why I don't want to join the fun?

You should try listening to your friend Mike Malloy on this particular issue.
He is not afraid of AIPAC.

So, I'm afraid of AIPAC?
Are all your declarations this accurate?.

Look - you and me aren't enemies.
I don't do this quagmire, no matter how much you want me to.

You offer me membership in The Crazy Club, and I refuse to join.

Remember, Muslims are anti zionist, not anti Jewish.

Personally, I've never said: "Hillary voted for the war," like she owns Exxon-Mobil.
I have on the other hand said: "Hillary voted for the war" like she voted for the war.

I really don't understand the analogy - Iraq didn't require any sudden or deadly force.

Scott, if you leave the abstract, you often find concrete.
Your 3 choices - as of now - are Edwards, Hillary and Obama.
The first 2 voted "for the war," the third had no vote.

Iraq pumped 3.5Mbarrels daily before Bush invaded
and then they got their 2003 Halliburton upgrade

Bush is stealing $220,000,000 every day.

No wonder they were so eager to start a war,

stealing  $220,000,000 every day.

It's the biggest theft in Earth's history.

Exxon made $10B profit in 90 days
$100M a day - all profit - because Bush started a fake war

Bush's "Bring 'em on" death taunt is up to...

3,132....3,140 American victims

We lost 8 more since last issue
while the Little Dictator plays with himself.

...and how much did BIG OIL make yesterday?
Exxon makes $108M - every day

(And that's just ONE oil company)

8 more soldiers dead,
but Exxon makes $75,000 profit per minute

Bush can live with that,
because Iraq's oil wells have no meters.

Bush has killed more Americans than Osama.

Subject: Hillary haters ....

Bart, you wrote:

> When a city issues a gun to a rookie cop, are they authorizing him
> to shoot anyone who he thinks the world would be better off without?

> Or did they arm him in the event that sudden and deadly force must be used?

The latter. (That means the second option.)
In Hillary's case, neither was true.

That allegation is not supported by the facts.

And she knows it.  Hence Carville's attempt to lie, tying 9/11 into Iraq.

Objection!  Assumes facts that are not in evidence.

Put your money where your mouth is.
Bet me that Hillary won't be the Democratic nominee in 2008.

I might do that, but your out-of-the-blue bet has NOTHING to do with your wild rant.

Yes, she might pull a LIEberman (her good buddy), and still run, despite losing the primary.
But she will not win the White House as the Democratic nominee.

As of today, if she doesn't, I would expect a Republican to win.
That's why I say she'll win unless the Demo knives in her back prevent that.
Love her or hate her, the Oval Office is hers to lose.

Do I hate Hillary?  No.

ha ha

Do I NOT respect Hillary?  Yes.
But she would have been a great president in 1956!

That makes no sense.
Hillary would've beaten Ike in 1956?
What point did you intend to make?

P.S. -- the last time you did one of these "I bet no one has the BALLS to answer me" deals, I answered.
Yet you still posted that no one answered.  So -- you lied.  So -- who has the balls?

I wouldn't bet that you don't (cause you might have)
but I'll bet that I do because I know for sure.

"Please note that the private aircraft MUST BE a Gulfstream IV or bigger," notes the contract, referring to a

Rudy demands to be met by "one sedan and one large SUV," and booked into a hotel room "with a king-size bed,

overwhelming the enemy.    American manufacturers did not go out of business
*Yesterday Chrysler announced laying off 13,000 workers - following Ford and GM in layoffs...
*But American troops can't get orders filled for armored Humvees for current war effort?

Q: What is wrong with this corporate-America picture?

Mark, what's wrong is Bush can't make any money in peace time.

Sure, he could be a successful wartime president if Iraq succeeded.

He could make $260M a day in oil profits by "failing" in Iraq.
It's been three long years of Bush "failing" - while they make $260M a day.

$260M a day for three years means Bush doesn't care
if history calls him a boneheaded loser and the worst president ever.

Our motto for this year is - "No Anti-Bush Site Left Behind". So - if you have an anti-bush site and you are  choking on hosting fees or dealing with threats - let us know and we'll help keep you online.

We also have that strongest server side spam filtering on the planet.
