"Great Scott! The power to choose does not belong to the Democratic voter."
-- Graphic on a new RNC whore web site about the Democrats' dilemma

They have a lot of nerve saying that, after stealing the last two elections.

Blame Donna Brazile?

Howard Dean seems to be moving; his earlier "they didn't follow the rules, tough luck" posture has been
sliding off its pedestal a bit now that the word is out on the machinations by Donna Brazile to increase the
penalty from half the delegates to all the delegates - that position seems to no longer be defensible. . . .
FL Senator Bill Nelson is on record as supporting going with the original penalty from the DNC rules
before Donna Brazile bumped it up to the death penalty...

Is Donna Brazile (R-Traitor) the reason we've having this bloody civil war?
And she's on CNN every day praising Obama and putting the shiv to Hillary?

If so, seems like she ought to pay a price for that.

-- Randi Rhodes, proud to be neutral until we have a nominee,   Video

Hmmm, seems like a bad career move for Randi.
If Obama wins, half her audience could desert her.
If Hillary wins, Randi will have to turn into Limbaugh or say,
"I changed my mind, she's not the 'fucking whore' I said she was."

Air America suspends Randi

Air America has suspended Randi Rhodes for screaming "Hillary is a big fucking whore"
at a recent public appearance on behalf of Air America in San Francisco.

Air America encourages strong opinions about public affairs but does not condone
such abusive, ad hominem language by our Hosts," said the AAR statement.

I'm keeping an eye on Randi's web site

Will she back down and apologize to Hillary and Ferraro?
Or will she scream the "F" word at her bosses, to?

Blogger Bias against Hillary

Eric told me he'd been interviewing Clinton bloggers for a book about how bloggers are affecting
the 2008 presidential campaign, and was "shocked" to hear again and again that people felt they
could no longer speak freely in the blogosphere.

"I'm not," I said. I told him most of the bloggers I know are appalled at the present state of affairs,
and that they'd basically been bullied into silence.  He said he was astounded at the venom those
bloggers described, and had already collected so much material, he might make it a separate book.

I know the feeling. There's only so many times you can read "Goodbye, old friend,
and go fuck yourself" before your economic future flashes before your eyes.

Some of us are losing our paychecks for picking experience over "change."

I remember years ago asking the question: "How will die?"
Will we find out this year?

Maybe if Donna Brazile hadn't pushed so hard to screw Florida and Michigan,
we wouldn't be in this civil war and bloggers would have the freedom to write.

Last thing: Who are these bloggers who've been intimidated?

I don't mean for this to sound this way, but every pro-Hillary web site I know of
is smaller than - so who are they talking about - anyone have a guess?

And if it's true that is Her biggest online supporter,
why did Hillary's campaign give all their ad money to KOS, who hates her?

I'm going broke while she feeds multi-millionaire Kos?

"Chelsea & the Monica Question, I smell a weakness here.   I would hammer this question
on every Q&A college round that Chelsea makes.   To my fellow college students, if you're
reading this and Chelsea is making rounds to your schools, prep up your Monica question.
She says it's none of our business?  Ha, I think its every American's business."
-- an unsigned reader blog at   talkingpointsmemo

 Going after Chelsea?
Where have I heard of this tactic before?

Hammering Chelsea with Monica questions is not my idea of "new politics."
 It's positively vulgar Pigboy-ish.

And why is Clinton's penis "every American's business?"

Obama fans say they don't want to go back to the peace and prosperity nineties,

Stabenow's Husband Hired a Cute One
He owned Air America and Talk USA radio

The husband of Michigan US Senator Debbie Stabenow told police detectives he paid a prostitute for sex
at a suburban Detroit hotel near Big Beaver in February.  Thomas Athans, admitted that he engaged the service
of the prostitute after he was questioned as part of a sting investigation. Stabenow said "this is very disturbing
and serious, obviously it's a deeply difficult and personal matter."  While police say he admitted paying $150
for sex, he was neither arrested or charged.

Damn, only $150?  Spitzer paid $4500.

Wright is Key Delegate Topic

In an interview with me this morning, senior Hillary adviser Harold Ickes confirmed that
Reverend Jeremiah Wright is a key topic in discussions with uncommitted super-delegates
over whether Obama is electable in a general election.

The comments from Ickes, who is Hillary's chief delegate hunter, are to my knowledge the
first on-the-record confirmation from a Hillary adviser that the Wright controversy is a
subject in conversations between the Hillary campaign and the super-delegates her advisers
are trying to win over to Hillary's side.

I don't get it - where's the shocking news here?
IF Obama is unelectable because of Wright,
should we just eat that and lose again?

What's wrong with asking that question?
Is it racist to ask if the GOP is going to scare America into
thinking Obama is some crazy Muslim with a radical agenda?

Of course they're going to do that and I have real money to bet on it.

McCain hired Bush's "Willie Horton" team to run his campaign.

What do YOU think
this campaign will be about?

It's going to be about fear.

Team McCain: Predator Lenders?

When Grandps McCain addressed the nation's burgeoning mortgage mess last week,
he insisted it was time for a little "straight talk."

"I will not play election-year politics with the housing crisis," he insisted while unveiling his plan,
which many have described as friendlier to the mortgage industry than the Democrats' proposals.
What McCain did not say - which some believe smacks of politics - is that two of his top advisers
were recently lobbyists for a notorious lender in the mortgage meltdown.

John Green and Wayne Berman billed more than $720,000 in lobbying fees from 2005 through 2007
to Ameriquest Mortgage.   Ameriquest was forced to settle suits with 49 states for $325 million.
More than 13,680 New York homeowners got taken for a ride by the company, records show.

"I'm so mad I could soil my diapers..."

By the way, that reminds me of a joke:
When McCain did an interview for MTV, a kid asked him if he wore boxers or briefs.

McCain's reply?  "Depends..."

Subject: Gore

Bart, apparently these right wing nut jobs have a short term memory (not unlike Reagan).
As I recall, Al Gore, right or wrong, did not want Bill's help in 2000 because of the Monica thing.
 Jon in Ohio

Let's also remember that Gore picked Kissyface (Bill's biggest Dem critic) to run with
to show everybody he was thumbing his nose at Clinton.  He paid a price for that snub.
Gore also picked Donna Brazile (D-Traitor) to run his campaign.

Another thing: I like Gore, but he's no "party savior."
His negatives are low because he left politics.

If he was in this race, HE would be made out to be a racist and HE probably
would've voted for the war and HE would be asked to explain NAFTA etc.

Last thing: The Clintons are hated BECAUSE THEY ARE WINNERS.

Like it or not, Clinton is our "Reagan," and each time a Democrat slimes Clinton
they're saying, "Even our best president in 60 years is slime," so why should
any undecided voter go with the party whose best is a "f-ing racist whore bastard?"

Could I get an Obama fan to answer that?     Send e-mail to Bart

Reagan was a scumbag who hated gays and women and the poor.
He sold weapons to terrorists after making a deal with them to fuck the 1980 vote,
yet the Republicans honor him and praise him and defend him and deify him.

Meanwhile, the Democrats slime their heroes.

Subject: Hillary

To add to what Walter has said, the Clintons managed to accomplish all those positive things
with one hand while fighting off multiple and unrelenting attacks by their enemies with the other.

Whitewater, the Paula Jones debacle where Bill Clinton was accused of trying to convince Jones,
a state employee, to perform fellatio.  Charges of sexual intimidation fell flat when it was learned
Jones later received promotions despite the fact she claimed noncompliance to his alleged requests.
I found it hard to believe it since one look at her told me she could make a strap on go limp.

The Vince Foster suicide, Travel Gate, etc., etc. and, of course, Monica.
How in the world the Clintons survived all this will remain a mystery to me.

Hillary: Obama can't win

Update: Mark Halperin is reporting comments from an anonymous Clinton official:

"Bill Richardson is clearly embarrassed that he broke his promise to them. He should come out
and tell the truth and admit that he told both Clintons that Obama wasn't ready and can't win."

ABC News reports:

Hillary and Bill are making very direct arguments to superdelegates,
starkly insisting Obama cannot win in November.

Oh - I can't believe how racist these Clinton devils are!!!

Sources with direct knowledge of the conversation between Hillary and Richardson, prior to
Richardson's endorsement of Obama say she told him flatly, "He cannot win, Bill. He cannot win."

I can't believe how racist these Clinton devils are!!!

Subject: Obama

I just woke up from a deep sleep, then went into several websites; and according to them,
Obama is already President and he might appoint Al Gore to his cabinet.

Also, the unheard of: Tim Russert called him out on the Swiftboating of Hillary,
which he reluctantly admitted, then sluffed it off on his staff.

I'm not familiar with that.

Then everyone was poking fun at Bill Clinton for being a little upset about Bill Richardson's betrayal;
a man who had told Bill Clinton five or more times that he would NEVER do that. (endorse Obama.)

Things happen so fast when you go to sleep and don't have to listen to the constant baloney.
Wish I could have slept longer until everything was over and done. I refuse to be responsible
for the fiasco the Democrats have created among themselves.

McCain Fought for the South?
 How old can Grandpa be?

At his first appearance Monday in Meridien, Mississippi, Grandpa McCain used the context of the
nearby naval air station named for his grandfather to extol his family's long history of military service.
But while he boasted that "a distant ancestor served on General Washington's staff, and it seems my
ancestors fought in most wars in our nation's history," McCain sadly forgot to mention the Civil War.
That omission might be because, as the Vicksburg Post noted: It was in defense of that plantation that
William Alexander McCain, grandson of the first McCain in America, died while a member of a
Mississippi cavalry unit in the Civil War.

That sounds like a Republican - fighting to keep the Black man in chains...

Jane Fonda endorses Obama
..and Hillary couldn't be happier -

This could be one of those less desirable votes for part of the country, especially if Obama
was hoping to attract some crossover Republicans if he's the Democratic candidate come fall.

Obama, who was recently named the most liberal member of the Senate by the nonpartisan
National Journal, has sought to portray himself as the earliest anti-Iraq war opponent.

The problem is that during Fonda's controversial wartime visit to North Vietnam, she was
photographed at a Communist anti-aircraft gun battery.  According to the photo caption
distributed at the time, she joined North Vietnamese soldiers there in singing an antiwar
song while preparing to shoot at attacking Americans.

I have no problem with Jane Fonda, but then,
I'm not the swing vote in the big, blue-collar states.

Subject: anti-Hillary media bias

Bart, I'm slowly starting to like Hillary Clinton.
I dislike the way the media kicks Hillary around like some kind of tomato can.

One irritating habit I've noticed is that the media tries to take photographs of Hillary
when she's naturally in the middle of changing facial expressions during speeches in order
to get an awkward picture that will portray her as some kind of shrill, contemptuous wench.

It's bullshit.

But hey, she's a Clinton.
So she bounces back every time the mainstream writes her off.

Keep up the good work, Bart.

The people who extra-hate her for not quitting this race should realize
she'll fight for her programs with the same tenacity she's showing by staying in.

Bottom line: She's no quitter and she ain't no bandleader.

Hillary de-lawyered Nixon?
Some comedy just can't be scripted

When the (Watergate) investigation was over, Zeifman fired Hillary from the committee staff
and refused to give her a letter of recommendation - one of only three people who earned that
dubious distinction in Zeifman's 17-year career.

"Because she was a liar," Zeifman said last week. "She was an unethical, dishonest lawyer.
She conspired to violate the Constitution, the rules of the House, the rules of the committee
and the rules of confidentiality."

Zeifman says that Hillary, along with Marshall, Nussbaum and Doar, was determined to gain
enough votes on the Judiciary Committee to change House rules and deny counsel to Nixon.
And in order to pull this off, Zeifman says Hillary wrote a fraudulent legal brief, and confiscated
public documents to hide her deception.

Gee, I wonder who Zeifman supports in this year's election?

This is one of those stories where I can't find a single fact.
She was "fired" - that doesn't make her evil.  Have you ever been fired? Are you evil?
And that's assuming this handjob was even her boss, that she was fired, etc.
She was "dishonest and unethical?"  Compared to who?   You?
If she "conspired to violate the Constitution," why didn't you have her arrested?
She was "determined to get enough votes..."  Is that a crime?
She wrote a "fraudulent legal brief."  Says who?  Where's the brief?
What was it about?  Was it ever filed?  Was she ordered to write a brief?
When she "confiscated public documents," did you call the police?
Why did you wait 35 years to mention "her crimes?"

If Hillary is the witch they say she is,
why do they have to re-cycle 35 year-old lies?

How She wins the Popular vote
 by Michael Barone (R-Lying Handjob)

I was making projections that were optimistic from Hillary's point of view, and I found, to my surprise,
that the results showed Clinton ahead of Obama in popular votes (whether Florida, Michigan, and
imputed caucus results for four states were included or not) but Obama still ahead in delegate votes.

Am I guaranteeing that Clinton will win the popular vote? Certainly not.
These projections are optimistic from Clinton's point of view but not wildly unrealistic. .

I have a question:
What if Hillary wins the nomination, and the Obama folks are not cool with that?

If they stay home in November and McCain wins, and appoints 3 Supreme Court cronies,
which camp will have givent the GOP that victory and destroyed the Democratic party?

Subject: Keith Olbermann and Countdown

Like others, I was a faithful viewer of Countdown. I also always read, among a few others,
Buzzflash, Frank Rich, etc. But now I absolutely refuse. I am a yellow dog democrat (sooner vote
for a yellow dog than a republican). I think Obama is a fine man, a fine senator and I'm sure he'll
make a fine president if elected. If he's the nominee in November, I'll be first in line to vote for him.

But I expect more from the left. I have no illusions about Bill or Hillary Clinton. My politics are much
further left than their's (and also of Obama's). But I know that Bill's presidency was a good one by
historical standards. And I know Hillary would be a good president as well (and tearing down the
glass ceiling for women would be a monumental breakthrough). The likes of Olberman, Rich and
others have no shortage of targets on the right ... after all, is there anything the right has not turned
to crap in the last 28 years (starting with Reagan)?

But instead of using precious airtime and print space to educate stupid Americans about the disastrous
course of this nation since the right rose to prominence, they use it to bash Bill and Hill. How stupid!
Count me out. Thanks for maintaining the proper perspective Bart. You're a joy to read.

Subject: Randi

I guess I should thank Randi Rhodes, Ed Schultz and most of the rest of the Air America crew,
they're saving me money.  Air America was the only reason I kept sending XM a check every three months.

After the way Randi Rhodes ranted about how she never supported anyone in the primaries,
then got behind whoever the Democratic nominee was, she is completely sickening.

Air America, and especially Randi Rhodes, makes Democrats look exactly like
the Repugs have tried to make them, a bunch of blowhards with no morals.

She used to be the top draw at Air America but after becoming an Obama cheerleader,
I suspect she is going to lose a good part of her audience. But then the Dems seem to
show their stupidity pretty regularly, so they will soon forget.
