Subject: the problem with Dennis Miller

It's nice that Dennis can get away from his hot dog cart long enough
to make a few rare appearances on network television these days.

But what Miller and those in his irrational right-wing cabal profess isn't patriotism.
It's mindless group think.

This is the kind of mentality which invariably emerges from societies which embark on empire building.
The Soviet Union, Japan and Germany are recent examples of the same phenomena.

As the empire continues to expand and engage in ever more costly and catastrophic adventures abroad,
it creates and demands ever bigger sacrifices and expense for the public at home to endure from the inevitable blow-back.

Naturally, for the elitists to freely pursue their imperial agenda, any dissent and discord must be suppressed.
This is what Miller and his fellow goose steppers advocate.

In theory, the beauty of a democratic republic is that the nation's loyalty isn't a function of unconditional
obeisance to any particular party or political leadership, such as that which defines GOP pseudo
"conservative" partisanship today. It's defined by the principles which are set forth in The Constitution,
nothing more and nothing less.

Those who are elected to office must earn and retain the loyalty of the people based on the merits of
their performance AND their willingness to conform to the principles set forth in The Constitution.

And it's those conditions alone which insure they are able to retain the power of their office...not blind notions
that the citizens owe them unconditional support based on events..especially events, mistakes and blunders
that were, in fact, created by those demanding our loyalty.

That is not patriotism. And Dennis Miller is no patriot.

Plus, he's not funny since he turned into Bush's Butterboy.
