Personal Issues
Government should not censor speech, press, media or Internet.
I agree, but let's protect the kids from violence and porn.
Military service should be voluntary. There should be no draft.

There may come a time when we need a draft, so
vote Democrat
to prevent wars of profit that could spin out
of control and kill us all..
There should be no laws regarding sex for consenting adults.
I agree, but can they do that stuff indoors?
Repeal laws prohibiting adult possession and use of drugs.
I agree, but what about the really dangerous drugs?
There should be no National ID card.
Not sure where they're going with this.
You can't sneeze without a driver's license,
so some form of ID is needed.
I'm against a National ID card mostly because
the GOP wants it real bad.
Economic Issues
End "corporate welfare." No government handouts to business.
It depends.
I think the Big Three were worth saving, not
sure about those Wall Street bastards.
Sweeping statements like "no government handouts"
could prevent a much needed handout.
End government barriers to international free trade.
That might work on the surface, but if the other
countries have "bariffs and terriers,"
shouldn't we?
If Japan won't buy our beef, should we buy their
rice? (whatever)
If Germany subsidizes Mercedes and BMW, we can't
help GM and Ford?
Let people control their own retirement; privatize Social Security.
Crazy, crazy, crazy idea.
Uncle Bob puts his retirement into a business
that goes bankrupt.
Now we gotta feed and house Uncle Bob for free
the rest of his life?
The stock market fell 40% last year - who wants
a piece of that?
Replace government welfare with private charity.
Sounds like, "I hate the poor and the Blacks."
Cut taxes and government spending by 50% or more.
Crazy, crazy, crazy idea.
Taxes were 79 percent in 1960, JFK dropped them
to 50% (All numbers made up)
Then Reagan dropped them to 39% and Bush dropped
them to 33%.
The closer you get to zero, the fewer services
you'll receive.
I, for one, like having a Fire Department with working equipment.
