Subject: Somebody has to step back

Bart, WHY should the voters settle for Miss Divisive??

Why settle for winning?

Especially if she wins the nomination via Super Delegates. She is TO polarizing.
Obama took EVERY county in Washington State, by a TWO to one margin!!!
Your hero didnt get one...

My hero?

This is the kind of letter a football fan should write.
"Bart, the Huskies outgained the Sooners two to one!"

This isn't some damn football game, it's the future of the planet.
Excuse me for wanting someone who knows what they're doing.

Obama attracts across ALL age groups, races, (except Mexicans), and incomes.

He also atracts Republican bigots - in the primaries.

When I listen to Obama I get enthused. When I listen to Hillary, I get high anxiety...
more same old, same old, special interest crap.

Is the way you feel important to America's future?

Maybe that's because one is playing your emotions and one
is talking to you like you're an adult who can handle the truth.

Hillary is a veritable lightening rod for criticism, and the GOP has
numerous attack reasons as to WHY she shouldnt be in the Oval Office.

They hate her because she and Bill keep beating them.
Six times in Arkansas, twice for the White House and twice for the senate.
Look what they did to Gore - look what they did to Kerry.
That's what they do to anyone who tries to stop them.

You also ignored my email about...

Get over youself.

Obama can beat McCain... Its high time you realized that.
Thanx,
 Robert in Seattle

You do understand that's idiot football talk, right?
Nobody on the planet has a clue what's going to happen.

What happens if Obama has a glass chin?
For all we know the GOP will Photoshop a picture of Michelle with a donkey
and Obama could break down on the Capitol steps and decide to pull out like
Ross Perot did, "...to save his family from this awful filth."

And then what do we do, besides attend McCain's inauguration?

Do you have any idea how not like a football game this is?

Subject: Obama

I believe that Hillary will be a better President than Obama and voted so in the Primary.
What worries me is that SO many people hate her, for irrational reasons.

McCain might win in the General because of this. If Obama is our candidate,
I'll vote for him, knowing that ANY Dem is far better than another one of THEM.

Be well! And thank you for letting me access your radio show!we

Subject: Obama

bart:  i am very worried that idealistic democrats are getting stars in their eyes over mr. obama.
we have a very damaged political system in this country and this nonsense about "i'm going to
change washington d.c." is little more than telling people what they desperately want to hear
so they can feel wonderful and patriotic while ignoring the reality that this country is inches away
from economic disaster, another cold war with the russians , has angered the whole world with
eight years of the most corrupt, arrogant and divisive administration in my lifetime,  maybe of all time,
has destroyed a sovereign nation with an unprovoked war, has ignored the needs of the very men
it sent to fight it.

i could go on, but i'm getting sick to my stomach.  we need a washington insider to have any hope
that this country is not going to sink any further into the mud. do people honestly believe that he is
going to go to washington, command the congress to mind him, and it is magically going to obey?

When I ask a question like that, I either get no response or "Stop the hate!"
There are many, many questions about Obama that remain unanswered.

john and robert kennedy are dead.  obama is not JFK no matter how much they want him to be.
hillary clinton may not be the most charismatic candidate, and she has alot of things that you can
find to dislike about her,  but if they had watched her question donald rumsfeld about the prisoner
abuse scandal, they would have seen something i have not seen in mr obama.  quiet competence.
and the next president of the united states is going to need alot of it.
people had better wake up.

Subject: Bravo

Bart,
I absolutely AGREE with every word you said about "How We Get Out of This Mess" -

Hillary can stand up to the Republicans - she can stand up to McCain.

Put Obama in there, it's like sending McClellon instead of Grant -
It's like bringing a knife to a gun fight - We hand it to the Republicans once again.

If Obama is the nominee, one well-placed terrorist attack will send the
crying, whining Amurican people right over to McCain.  Pathetic

That's very true.
Will soaring rheotic makes us feel good during an attack?
(Plus, Cheney will guarantee an October Surprise this fall.)

Amuricans are just like a bunch of bass - a bright, shiny object gets them hysterical
and frothing at the mouth, ready to bite.
That's what I think is happening with Obama - it's American Idol!  ACCKKKKK!

Thanks for saying it online - not that I'm holding out any hope for Hillary
- could be, it's just too far gone - but let's wait for the fat lady.

Sincerely,
Lynn in Morrison, CO

Subject: sorry, bart

Bart, it is time to jump off of Hillary's pony and get on Obama's powerhouse.

That would be easier if I knew something about him.
Any idea what he stands for?

Did you hear both speeches tonight? No comparison;

But did he say anything?
Did he say he was for better schools?
Did he mention why Hillary was for worse schools?
Isn't everyone for better schools?
How is Obama's message different from anyone else?

Hillary is not much different than McCain,

Hillary and Obama have "remarkably similar voting records," says Gene Lyons.

and Obama will kick both of their butts!
 555-1212

Besides Alan Keyes, he's never been in a fight.
He might be Dempsey and Louis and Ali rolled into one,
but nobody's ever seen him fight - so how do we know?
How can we send him in against the Fascists's best guy untrained and unprepared?

Subject: somebody has to step back

Bart, you wrote:

> "I say we bench our first round draft pick
>  and let our all star have her final shot."

That's the best analogy I've seen so far.

That's why I get the big bucks.

I just don't see how you Dem's down there can lose this year with these turnout numbers,
no matter how hard some try.

We don't know how much of that surge is pro-Obama or anti-Bush,
but I'd sure like to have Obama's army with us when we go into battle.

They are so over the top that I'm starting to buy into the whole 'VRWC/Old Boys Network
talking Romney into sitting out the next 4 years and gearing for 2012 because they know it's
over already' theory.

One of the main points that jumps out at me from Obama supporters is the "this is a ONCE IN
A LIFETIME candidate!".  I agree, he most likely is, but unless you have inside knowledge that
you will be T-Boned by a semi between November 5th, 2008 and November 5th, 2016 then, huh?
It is most likely all or nothing for Hillary this round, Obama couldn't be further from that situation.

True, he's a kid.
He could run in 20 years and still be younger than McCain.

You have at least the next 16 years of the White House locked up
if Hillary gets the nod and Obama went VP.

Subject: The Choice

Bart,  I am with you.
I would rather have a seasoned adult with both feet on the ground
than one who floats on high-flung rhetoric and pie in the sky.

I haven't heard Obama say much about anything he will do if he is elected.
How many repubs voting for him will go for McCain when it counts?
I don't trust these vote totals.

Is he being set up so he can be knocked down?
Rove hasn't quit his job.

Subject: Obama as VP

You are absolutely right in your assessment and I happen to be a big Obama fan.
But the ideal ticket would be Clinton running as pres. and he as vp.
I think it would be awesome and unbeatable.

Subject: Hillary-Obama quandary

Hillary has the plans, the experience, has great command of the details
and can get the job done.  Obama has soaring rhetoric and not much else.

In a business interview, who gets the job? Do you hire the guy who talks
a good story but has nothing on his resume', or the one who has 35 years
worth of actual work experience?  It is an easy choice.

So why should the most important job in the world be different?
We need to be rational and get the most qualified person this time.
That is Hillary.
