From: Vance

Subject: Bartcop.com funding

Bart, my suggestion would be to stop shilling for hillary.
I hardly ever visit the site anymore, because all the hillary adulation
was pretty much turning my stomach.

Vance, we go way back - at least five years, so I'm going to speak frankly to you.
On this subject, you're not speaking with your brain, so I'm calling your bluff.

Do me a favor and quote some "Hiillary adulation" that you claim is so rampant
that you can't even read the page anymore because it makes you sick.

That should be easy for you - unless you're seeing stuff that isn't there.

But first we have to define our terms.
If I say, "It's her race to lose," that's not adulation, that's a fact.

If I say, "No Dem senator felt sure enough about 'everybody knew' to filibuster,"
that's not adulation, that's a fact.

If I say, "Our choices aren't Hillary vs Perfect," that's not adulation, that's a fact.

Where is this wall-to-wall adulation you think you see that's making you sick?

but after (your TV talk), I had to stop by for your take on it all.

I suspect you still read every day.
Even if you have to wade thru some imaginary ocean of Hillary adulation,
the cartoons and Monkey Mail are always a hoot, right?.

You can call me unrealistic and mock me for saying it- but if hillary is the candidate,
I don’t know how or even if I’ll vote- for the first time in my life. and from what I can tell,
there are PLENTY of people who feel the same way.

Do you mean "plenty" as in 20 people you know?
Or are you saying the scientific polls are lying?

it looks like things might have to get worse still, before they get better- and people realize the kind of road
the country is being taken down. I just hope that some kind of change for the better happens in my lifetime.

If people fail to support the Democrat next year, then I think they forfeit their right to complain
when this eight-year nightmare turns into a twelve or sixteen-year nightmare.

You either want a Democrat to win or you love where your country is right now.
You can pretend there are other choices, but lying to yourself is a crime.

I just don’t see hillary, or any other dlc-ite as being a facilitator for change for the better…
just like I’m not the biggest fan of her husband’s administration- things like nafta, the wto, the telecom act of 96,
the defense of marriage act, to name a few- don’t strike me as the kind of legislation I’d want to see from a
Democratic administration. and I’m guessing that we’d see more of the same from the mrs.

There you go again with your fantasy choices that don't exist.
Apparently, you see every Democrat who can win as "Bush's twin."
The candidates you like (I'll guess Kucinich, Dean or Ron Paul, whatever) can not win.
And I realize anybody can say "X can't win" but I'm willing to bet on it.
That's the difference between wild-ass talk and statistical probability.

So the question for you is - do you live in the real world or not?

although I was royally pissed at him in 2000 for picking holy joe as his running mate,
I sort of hope that al gore enters the race.

Triple Fantasy.
Gore, like Obama, has no war vote to defend.
Because of that, he can say, "I was against the war all along,"
but it doesn't count unless you had a constituency to answer to.
For all you know, Gore would've voted the same way as Clinton, Kerry,
Biden, Edwards and the majority of the senate Democrats.
Gore says he's not running and I believe him.
How's he going to run against Team Clinton?

best wishes-
 vance in chicago

Dude, seriously, I want to hear back from you on that big question.
Where is this "adulation" that's poisoning your eyes each time you click on the page?

I'm not trying to be cruel, but you and many other peoples are seeing shit
that ain't there and I need to slay this imaginary dragon while I still can.

After all, I need to put food on my family :)
