With Bush, the "R" stands for Religiously Insane
   by Ron Suskind

  Click  Here

  Excerpt:
Bruce Bartlett, a domestic policy adviser to Ronald Reagan and a treasury official for the first President Bush,
told me recently that ''if Bush wins, there will be a civil war in the Republican Party starting on Nov. 3.''
The nature of that conflict, as Bartlett sees it? Essentially, the same as the one raging across much of the world:
a battle between modernists and fundamentalists, pragmatists and true believers, reason and religion.

''Just in the past few months,'' Bartlett said, ''I think a light has gone off for people who've spent time up close to Bush:
that this instinct he's always talking about is this sort of weird, Messianic idea of what he thinks God has told him to do.''
Bartlett, a 53-year-old columnist and self-described libertarian Republican who has lately been a champion for traditional
Republicans concerned about Bush's governance, went on to say: ''This is why George W. Bush is so clear-eyed about
Al Qaeda and the Islamic fundamentalist enemy. He believes you have to kill them all. They can't be persuaded, that they're
extremists, driven by a dark vision. He understands them, because he's just like them. . . .

''This is why he dispenses with people who confront him with inconvenient facts,'' Bartlett went on to say. ''He truly believes
he's on a mission from God. Absolute faith like that overwhelms a need for analysis. The whole thing about faith is to believe
things for which there is no empirical evidence.'' Bartlett paused, then said, ''But you can't run the world on faith.''

Scary article - I hope you have the time to read it..

In her suit accusing TV bully Bill O'Reilly of sexual harassment, Fox News producer Andrea Mackris
included partial trancripts of alleged conversations with O'Reilly, in which he is quoted making explicit
sexual comments and threats. In this document, obtained by Court TV's Lisa Bloom, Fox News
demands that Mackris turn over any tapes she has of the alleged conversations.

"Bush is making one last stand to con the American people into believing that he is the only one

You win the war on terror based on what you do. And the facts show, the facts show that we haven't
done all that we can to keep the American people safe and crush the terrorists before they can do

Bill O'Reilly's sex troubles offer lesson for married men

  Click  Here

  Excerpt:
O'Reilly admitted something in his lawsuit.
And that's where the married men and hotel rooms come into play.

He acknowledged having cocktails with Mackris and watching a presidential news conference alone with her in his hotel room.
He denied engaging in physical or sexual assaults. He denied that any "offensive touching" took place.
But he didn't deny having sex.

He didn't deny talking with Mackris about vibrators and phone sex and engaging in stuff that people usually use pay-per-view to watch.
He didn't even deny exchanging tales of his sexual prowess, something that guys sometimes do with other guys or women they think they know.

He didn't deny any of the behavior that Mackris alleges in her suit.

 Subject: O'Reilly

I predict Bill O'Reilly will come out of his sexual harassment allegations stronger, and richer,
no matter the legal outcome.  He will use the Rush Limbaugh defense (they're out to get me
and I'm fighting this to protect YOUR rights!) and will paint himself as the poor victim.

Look at Limbaugh - does anyone question his alleged drug use, alleged money laundering,
and possible drug peddling?  Finally, look at Dick Morris.  How can anyone like him have
any credibility, yet he is still a fixture on the talking heads circuit.

If I sound cynical and disgusted with the state of our "news" media, it's because I am.
Jon Stewart had it exactly right with he blasted pompous little Tucker Carlson and the CNN news establishment.

 Pokey

 Pokey,

Rush isn't put of the legal woods yet.
They just ruled that the evidence seized can be used against him.

As far as Morris, he only has "credibility" on FOX because he says bad things about liberals

You cannot be too cynical or too disgusted with America's whore media.

I understand what you're saying about O'Reilly, but it's hard to play the victim
when you have a penis-shaped vibrator buzzing in your butt.

 Bush's Endless 'Predictive' Wars
   by Robert Parry  at  consortiumnews.com

  Click  Here

  Excerpt:
In the months before the Iraq invasion in 2003, we began writing that the proper term for the so-called
Bush Doctrine was not "preemptive" war but "predictive" war. Our reasoning was that "preemptive" war
required clear evidence that Iraq was threatening or preparing to attack the United States, but George W. Bush
was simply predicting that Iraq might someday pose a threat.

We compared the Bush Doctrine with "predictive crime" featured in the futuristic Tom Cruise movie, "Minority Report,"
in which police rely on oracles to arrest people who are judged to be on the verge of committing murder.
During the second presidential debate in St. Louis on Oct. 8, Bush effectively confirmed that he is operating
under a doctrine of "predictive" war.

The admission came when Bush was discussing the findings of his own inspection team, which had reported
that Iraq had no stockpiles of weapons of mass destruction and that Iraq didn't even have any active programs
to build them. So, Bush shifted his defense.

His new argument for the Iraq invasion was twofold: Saddam Hussein held a grudge against the United States
and harbored hopes that he might eventually be able to restart his weapons programs.

Subject: media complicit in truth shading

True. The Dems may be pussies BUT the Repugs are extremely good at what they do
which is bullshitting to the Nth degree. Have you ever seen such a flagrant display of
outright filth (and unchecked) in your life? They can take ANY negative which should
(in a normal world) cripple them beyond repair and turn it completely around to their benefit.
 Incredible!

Rod Serling couldn't have written a better episode of The Twilight Zone than what we've been
living through the last four years. Of course, they've had GREAT help from the media which has
become nothing more than a collective cheap whorehouse. And we all can name the whores in
order of importance to His Lowness, King George the Second.

I don't have an answer to this. When citizens lose the power and HONOR of the media,
then we truly are lost. Let's hope they realize what they've indeed done before more young
Americans lose their lives. But that would be in a perfect world, wouldn't it?

  Anti-democracy broadcaster paying the cost

  Excerpt:
 Sinclair's stock fell 55 cents to $6.49.

The shares dropped amid fresh concerns on Wall Street, with analysts fretting over what looms
as a loss of advertising revenue for Sinclair. Some securities analysts, who demanded not to be
quoted on record, said that they're concerned about the potential development.

Sinclair, which owns the largest chain of TV stations in the United States, had told its stations to
broadcast a lie that accuses Kerry of betraying American prisoners during the Vietnam War.
The film, titled "Stolen Honor: Wounds That Never Heal," is to be shown during prime-time hours
before the Nov. 2 election. The Sinclair stations reach 1/4 U.S. television households.

"Stolen Honor" focuses on Kerry's 1971 antiwar testimony to Congress about U.S. atrocities
and suggests that it hurt Americans who were still being held in Vietnam.
Kerry's campaign has called the documentary "lies" and "a smear."

"It's biased political propaganda, with clear intentions to sway this election. For me, it's not about
right or left -- it's about what's right or wrong in news coverage this close to an election. I have nothing

credibility. There is going to be a concerted effort on the part of my colleagues to make this as balanced

They came in at night I think and it was claimed that they flew a lot of people out.
It got a passing mention in some news services (can't recall which).
I said to my partner when we were watching "Thats the Americans letting Bin Laden out".

I've always believed that he was central to the whole plot and there was never a serious

was marginalized or irrelevant or something.  It exists on video, that statement, even though he denies it now.

Forget 'liberal bias' -- for the Busheoisie it's 'reality bias'   from  evilgopbastards.com

  Click  Here

  Excerpt:
As we've reported here (most recently in "The Fantasy-Camp Presidency of George W. Bush"),
reality plays no role in the decision-making process within the Bush administration. In fact, there isn't
a true decision-making process at all. The power and prestige of the United States' government, and
how US policy affects the lives of all Americans and millions around the globe hinges solely on the
"gut instincts" of George W. Bush.

How do we know this is true? The truth was revealed by the president himself. Writes Suskind:

Joe Biden was telling a story, a story about the president. ''I was in the Oval Office a few months after
we swept into Baghdad,'' he began, ''and I was telling the president of my many concerns'' -- concerns
about growing problems winning the peace, the explosive mix of Shiite and Sunni, the disbanding of the
Iraqi Army and problems securing the oil fields. Bush, Biden recalled, just looked at him, unflappably sure
that the United States was on the right course and that all was well. '''Mr. President,' I finally said,
'How can you be so sure when you know you don't know the facts?'''

Biden said that Bush stood up and put his hand on the senator's shoulder. ''My instincts,'' he said. ''My instincts.''
Oh my. The emperor not only has no clothes, he's a dangerous psychopath.

 Quotes

"How poorly we understood Bush in 2000. We could not imagine the possibility that the United States
would barely be on speaking terms with some of its staunchest allies, and that America would be reviled
around the world as a bullying, imperialist superpower. How far we have fallen from the bright fiscal

Former Kennedy aide Pierre Salinger dies

  Excerpt:
Salinger died Saturday from heart failure following surgery last week at a hospital in
southern France, his wife, Nicole "Poppy" Salinger, said.  She said her husband decided

"He was very upset because he thought Bush was not fit to be president. He said he would
leave if Bush became president and he did," Mrs. Salinger said.

He did the same in 1968 after the assassination of Robert Kennedy, she said.
"He said, 'They're killing all the Kennedys, and he left," she said.

"They" being the BFEE-types who use tools like murder to reach their goals.
Again and again the question keeps coming up:
"Would evil men kill to take over the world?"

"The command just totally ignored them when they told them this fuel was contaminated

 Shealey told CBS' "Early Show."

Last year, the top U.S. commander in Iraq, Gen. Ricardo Sanchez, complained to the Pentagon

In an interview with ABC's "Good Morning America" show, Johnny Coates said his son

Like other relatives, Coates called his son a good soldier who felt he had to take a stand.

Yankees are blind to blundering Bush
Canada has a free press, so our ignorance puzzles them

  Click  Here

  Excerpt:
"Amazingly, a recent CNN/USA Today poll showed 62% of Republicans still believe Iraq was behind 9/11.
This is after a flood of contrary evidence and Duelfer's report. How can Republicans remain so blinkered?

Part of the fault lies with the sycophantic national media, which collaborated with the Bush administration in
whipping up war fever. The media still are not telling people the truth about Iraq, Afghanistan, or the so-called
war on terrorism. The media utterly failed to remind Americans that Bush, who loves to play war leader, actually
claimed Iraqi drone aircraft were poised to fly off ships in the North Atlantic and bombard America with germs.
Bush should have been laughed out of office for believing and promoting this comic-book nonsense. Many Republicans
simply don't see what the rest of the world does. So what if Iraq was no threat? Don't bother these golf club Rambos
with details. They're delighted to see the U.S. pounding Arabs in revenge for 9/11."

 Mr. Bart,

I LOVE bartcop.com!!!  And I am glad you got a bit of a fun break from slaving over a hot computer for us.

I know you want the Dems to fight and that you are disappointed when they don't.  But we have only 2 weeks
to go till the [s]election.   We need ALL the positive thoughts we can get for a victory.  So I just have one plea to you.
Pleeezze - for the next 2 weeks - pleezee don't slam Dems for not fighting.

Today I only got to 'Jeb Ignored Felon List Advice' - important information to know.  But then I read your comment,
'Prediction: The Democrats are going to let them get away with it.' and I audibly threw up my hands [repeat same for
your extended comments after 'St. Louis runs Bartcop-style ads'].

A good way for the democrats to get me to stop complaining about their lack of effort would be to fight.

Maybe instead of slamming the Dems for the next 2 weeks, you could re-frame your comments to positive action
readers can take to make sure the Dems do fight.

We need some power-of-positive-thinking / unity right now instead of dissing our own side [as Democrats/liberals always do].
Don't discourage those readers rooting for our side!  You might talk someone[s] into giving up and not voting,
or switching to FuriousGeorge, thinking Dems are all loosers.

I'm not suggesting censorship - just redirection.  Give it a break for 14 days.
Thanks for all your hard work - everybody knows how hard it is.

 Bart,

The Michael Moore schtupping by pay-per-view should be proof positive that the BFEE
controls virtually all of the media decisions made in this country.

The fact that The People are either too stupid to rise up with one voice and throw these fascists out of office,
or too distracted by there own troubles, or maybe too overwhelmed by the sheer size and number of scams
these thieves are running is a sad commentary on the intellect of our nation.

As far as WBAY; I am not a conspiracy nut, however, could it be that the down-on-their-knees media press
is giving false props to the Repugnicans as far as polling goes so that we'll swallow the theft of the White House
(for the second time) a lot easier? This "error" by WBAY may be part of Karl Rove's master plan.

Kerry will do a helluva job, I'm sure of that.  Perhaps not as well as Clinton did, but will still be one
of our better Presidents.  Why would Hillary run against him in 2008?

By the way, while you're reading this, the radio shows are near-damn-perfect.  Keep 'em up.
People are now coming over to my apartment and asking me what the newest issue of BCR I currently have.
They make me play them at full volume out of the computer.  And yes, I do open my window and yell
"I'm mad as hell, and I'm not going to take it anymore!"

Other than this one mistake, and as far as I can tell the ONLY mistake, the site is one of the premier sites on the net.
It's one of only 5 pages I check every day.  And two of those are sites I built, one is e-mail, and the other is cartoon
and baseball scores on Yahoo.  So keep up the major ass-kicking.

Bee Bee, thanks for those words of yours that were kind :)
You see Kerry as a sure winner on November 2nd.
 Let's hope you're right.
