"...the left has been waiting for the next terrorist attack. They've got their battle plan
in motion, and they knew when the terrorist attack came that they were going to jump on
Bush's case as being ill-prepared, unprepared, lousy, having done nothing and so forth..."

 Powell Being Powell
by Robert Parry as seen on  consortiumnews.com

Powell is pinning the blame for his false Iraq testimony before the UN in 2003 not on his
superiors in the Bush administration nor on George Tenet - but "on some people in the
intelligence community" at lower levels.

In his first extensive interview since his resignation early this year, Powell told ABC News
that his reputation has suffered because his assurances about Iraq's supposed stockpiles
of chemical and biological weapons proved false.

"It's a blot," Powell said. "I'm the one who presented it on behalf of the United States
to the world, and [it] will always be a part of my record. It was painful. It's painful now."

Colin, your lies helped kill almost 1900 American soldiers.
Saying "it's painful" isn't enough.

'Heckuva job' Brownie 'resigns'
...will he be indicted for Depraved Indifference?

Mike Brown, the subject of blistering criticism after Katrina scooted his pooch quit Monday as FEMA director.
The White House replaced him with someone semi-qualified.

The president was told of Brown's resignationMonkey received confirmation of his firing
earlier Monday and spoke to 'Chertie,' Brown's boss, from Air Force One.

White House liar Scott McClellan said the White House did not seek Brown's resignation.
"This was Mike Brown's decision and we respect his decision," McClellan lied.

Brownie replaced by 'Captain Duct tape'

David Paulison, who recommended in 2003 that Americans stock up on duct tape
to combat terrorism, was named Monday as acting director of  FEMA.

I feel safer already - how about you?

Patients put down in New Orleans
Those who couldn't evacuate given overdoses

Doctors killed critically ill patients rather than leave them to die in agony as they evacuated.

With gangs of rapists and looters rampaging through wards in the flooded city, senior doctors
gave massive overdoses of morphine to those they believed could not make it out alive.
One emergency official, William Forest McQueen, said: "Those who had no chance of
making it were given a lot of morphine and lain down in a dark place to die."

Their families believe their confessions are an indictment of the appalling failure of US authoritiesBush
to help those after Katrina flooded the city, claiming thousands of lives and making 500,000 homeless.

"I didn't know if I was doing the right thing," the doctor said.  "But I did not have time. I had to make
snap decisions, under the most appalling circumstances, and I did what I thought was right.
"I injected morphine into those patients who were dying and in agony.

"If the first dose was not enough, I gave a double dose.
"And at night I prayed to God to have mercy on my soul."

More victims of Bush's greed and stupidity.
Do I fault the doctors?   No.
If I had been the patient, I would've said, "Thank you."

Death my morphine is preferable to dying of thirst because Bush
put a moron in charge of disaster response, the son of a bitch.

 Roberts: 'I'm no Bush tool'
   Swears he respects vaginal Americans

Roberts (R-Coathanger) lied on Monday that if confirmed as chief justice
he would "confront every case with an open mind."

Afraid to take a stand, top Democrat Patrick Leahy (VT-Rubberstamp) said, "That's good enough for me,"
and with that, all women in America then lost control of their reproductive rights.

The Democrats will green light this monster to enhance and expand corporate rights
whilerestricting women's rights for the next 40 years.

I'm so ashamed to be a Democrat, ...but that's nothing new.

Subject: Legion hits a single

The big wigs at the American Legion may be morons but the little people are alright.
Our post had a drive to collect supplies for the hurricane victims last week.

I volunteered to borrow a truck from work and drive the stuff about 20 miles to another post
where a collection station had been set up. When I got there, there was a National Guard truck
that was supposed to take everything from around the state to their armory and get it down to the region.

Their truck was full so we loaded the rest of the stuff into my truck and I followed them about
50 miles and unloaded everything at the armory. What was supposed to be a 20 mile ride turned
into an all day affair but what the hell. I can tell you the legion membership around the state
collected tons of shit and continue to do so.

Most of the conversations I heard were against Bush and the horrible FEMA response.
The next day, alot of people from my post were among the few at the township 9/11 ceremony.
Don't dis the Legion just because the leadership are morons.
The membership are usually there doing good deeds whenever needed.

Subject: saying sorry doesn't hurt

Mr. Cop,

I think you have been terribly unfair to Michael Brown, ex-FEMA chief.
After watching hours of TV and reading countless stories about hurricane Katrina,
I have not seen one reported death of an Arabian thoroughbred horse!

Perhaps a little apology might be in order.

necessarily representative of what really happened. There was a huge

 Subject: My dad died

Sunday, my dad died.

Gatemouth Brown Dies at 81

He could not stand Bush or his crime family either.
When I visited him in November, I told him about you.
He said
"Dats right". Man of few words.
I just wanted to share that with you.

I am also gathering funds www.gatemouth.com for his burial costs.
As with many of these old timers, he died virtually broke.
I am getting the webmaster to revise the website around the paypal link.

Thank you so much, Bart!

Celeste, I was sorry to hear about your Dad.
I think anyone who plays the blues or enjoyed "American music, Texas-style"
should consider sending a few dollars to help with your Dad's expenses.

Do you have a PO Box?
Some people prefer the paper checks.

 Lost at Tora Bora
How Bush let Osama slip away

Osama bin Laden sat with a group of top aides in mountainous Tora Bora in eastern Afghanistan.
Outside, it was blustery and bitterly cold but inside the cave complex, where bin Laden had sought
his final refuge from the American war bin Laden munched on olives and sipped sugary mint tea.
Osama appeared to be supremely confident.

As the last major battle of the war in Afghanistan began, hidden from view inside the caves were an
estimated 1,500 to 2,000 well-trained, well-armed men. A mile below, at the base of the caves,
some three dozen U.S. Special Forces troops fanned out. They were the only ground forces
that senior American military leaders had committed to the Tora Bora campaign.

Three dozen men?
Bush wanted Osama real bad, didn't he?

"I might commit as many as 36 men
  to avenging these terrible attacks.
  Meanwhile, 100,000 troops will
be guard my new Iraqi pipeline."

Dawdling should offend GOP

It was suggested last week that I turn in my conservative credentials because I thought
Michael Brown ought to be fired for the way he bungled the initial response to Katrina.
If hanging on to those credentials means I have to blindly defend everything Bush does,
then, fine, I'll give them up. That's a bigger job than I want. If being conservative means
I have to turn a blind eye to government mismanagement and incompetence just because
a Republican is running the show, then I'll take a hike

 Katrina is not 9/11

Slipstreaming behind the annual rituals of sorrow and reverence for 9/11, George W Bush
has decreed that, five days later, on the 16th, there is to be a further day of solemnities on which
the nation will pray for the unnumbered victims of Hurricane Katrina. Prayers (like vacations) are
the default mode for this president who knows how to chuckle and bow the head in the midst of
disaster but not, when it counts, how to govern or to command...Thus has George Bush become
the Archbishop of Washington even as his aura as lord protector slides into the putrid black lagoon,
bobbing with cadavers and slick with oil, that has swallowed New Orleans nnocent.

Subject: New Orleans Zoo animals OK

Hey Bart,

The zoo has been preparing for this for years and only lost 3 animals out of 1400.

Bush couldn't have done any worse

If George W. Bush had sat down and deliberately planned to endanger the future security
of the nation, to diminish our standing in the world, to empty the national coffers, to raise oil prices,
and to imperil the lives of all Americans, both at home and abroad, for generations to come,
he couldn't succeeded more completely. The simple fact is this: short of doing something
completely unimaginable, like starting a nuclear war or invading Mecca, George W. Bush
could not have done any worse for the United States.

But you know something, Bart,
Maher still kisses Mann Coulter's ass,
so how good could he be when he sleeps with the enemy?

Bill says Ann Coulter is a real screamer in bed,

 Subject: No more Clintons

Bart, Karl Rove owes his success to Bill Clinton.
Clinton took the party to the center (ie."welfare reform")
so it would stand for nothing. When he left (after he made Gore stumble
because of Monica) everything fell apart and Rove had fertile ground.

The center is where the votes are, and I think Gore's rejection of Clinton, who,
during impeachment was 40 points higher than Bush is now, cost him the election.

Now he says that Bush's response to Katrina was absolutely fine and he gazes adoringly at
Papa Bush pleading for money from us while Haliburton bilks us for hundreds of millions.
Why isn't Clinton calling Bush incompetent and calling for his immediate removal?
Because he's a political whore.

At least I'm a New Yorker who can vote against Hillary in 2006. I'll vote Green first

You have opinions and so do I.
I think if Bill got in the Monkey's face and screamed insults at him Hillary wouldn't be elected.

I think the Clintons know more about politics than both of us put together.
The last Demo besides Clinton to win twice was first elected in 1932.
I think a vote against a Clinton is a vote for the BFEE.
...but that's just one man's opinion.

 Today's oil theft total

Iraq pumps 2,000,000 barrels a day,
(and that was before the 2002 Halliburton Upgrade)
times today's oil price which is   $69.47 $63.34 a barrel
makes $126,680,000  Bush stole just yesterday

Republicans and religio-crazies
say losing thousands of soldiers in
Bush's bloody war is acceptable.

1895  1896 have died

Wait, the price of oil is going down?
They said they lost 64 drilling rigs in Katrina, and oil is dropping?
How is that possible?

I have theory:
With Bush's approval in the toilet, I think the
greedmeisters decided to throttle back on the gouging.
