A 'Humbled' News Media?

 Link

 Excerpt:
Washington Post columnist Richard Cohen says he and other pro-war pundits have been "humbled"
by their miscalculations in supporting Bush's invasion. But Cohen sees the error as one of trusting too much
in Bush's competence, not as a question of whether Bush and his top aides were wrong to attack a country
that wasn't threatening the United States.

...others, like Charles Krauthammer, remain true believers in the neoconservative cause. Fred Hiatt stays
ensconced, too, as the editorial page editor, despite having to admit that his pre-war editorials shouldn't
have treated the threat of Iraq's weapons of mass destruction as a "flat fact" instead of an allegation.

House GOP goes after McKinney
How dare she not allow a white cop to mishandle her?

 Link

 Excerpt:
House Fascists, reacting to an allegation between Rep. Cynthia McKinney and a Capitol Police officer
she is accused of hitting, pressed for a resolution Tuesday to commend the police force for its professionalism.

Democratic leaders, as you've come to expect, did not defend McKinney or her charge of racial profiling.
"I don't think any of it justifies hitting a police officer," said blame-Democrats-first leader Nancy Pelosi.
"If it did happen I don't think it was justified."

Nancy, how nice of you to comdemn the Democrat first, then ask what happened second.
How typical that is of everything we've come to expect from the spinless left.

When Bush murders a country, after the facts are in, you defend him to the Nth dgree.
When Bush rapes the Constitution, after the facts are in, you give him the benefit of the doubt.

But when one of your own has an issue, you condemn her before the facts are in.
Pelosi can't even be neutral - she attacks the Democrat, then defends the Fascist bastards.

Cheney is Main 9-11 Suspect
Someone told our fighters to stand down

Was Cheney directing the biggest power grab in history?

 Link

 Excerpt:
The former head of the Star Wars program under Ford and Carter has gone public to say that Dick Cheney.
is the main suspect for the architect of the attack that gave them unlimited power and unlimted money.

Dr. Robert Bowman, Lt. Col., USAF, ret. flew 101 combat missions in Vietnam. He is the recipient of the
Eisenhower Medal, the President's Medal of Veterans for Peace, six Air Medals, and dozens of other awards.
His Ph.D. is in Aeronautics and Nuclear Engineering from Caltech. He is an expert on National Security.

Bowman stated that at the bare minimum if Al-Qaeda was involved in 9/11 then the government stood down
and allowed the attacks to happen. He said it is plausible that the entire chain of military command were unaware
of what was taking place and were used as tools by the people pulling the strings behind the attack.

Bowman said the drills on the morning of 9/11 that simulated planes crashing into buildings on the east coast
were used as a cover to dupe unwitting air defense personnel into not responding quickly enough to stop the attack.

"The exercises that went on that morning simulating the exact kind of thing that was happening so confused the people
in the FAA and NORAD....that they didn't they didn't know what was real and what was part of the exercise," said Bowman
"I think the people who planned and carried out those exercises, they're the ones that should be the object of investigation."

Bowman trashed the 9/11 Commission as a politically motivated cover-up with abounding conflicts of interest,
charging, "The 9/11 Commission omitted anything that might be the least bit suspicious or embarrassing or in any way
detract from the official conspiracy so it was a total whitewash."

"There needs to be a true investigation, not the kind of sham investigations
we have had with the 9/11 omission," said Bowman..

Well, that's the cue for Nancy Pelosi to rush to Cheney's defense.
Condemn Dr. Bowman, Nancy!
Defend the Republicans, like you always do.
Give us your Nancy Grace guarantee that Cheney is completely innocent.

When you're done, you can attack Cynthia McKinney again for lying.

He's Gone
 by William Rivers Pitt

 Link

 Excerpt:
Stone the crows. Tom DeLay is checking out.
Never thought I'd live to see the day.

I second that.
For years, I said he was too powerful to be taken down.

In 1988, DeLay gave a press conference in Texas to defend the military record of Dan Quayle.
Quayle was under fire for having a safe spot in the Indiana National Guard, keeping him out of Vietnam.
DeLay argued that Quayle wanted to go, but minorities had taken all the available slots.

Seriously, he said that.

This is the man who once said about the minimum wage, "Emotional appeals about working families
trying to get by on $4.25 an hour are hard to resist. Fortunately, such families do not exist."

This is the man who said eight days before the 2003 invasion of Iraq,
"Nothing is more important in the face of a war than cutting taxes."

Are these the same fine upstanding officers who manhandled Cindy Sheehan out of the SotU address?
Is that the crack law enforcement organization to which we are referring here?

Those punks get their Christmas bonus envelopes from the likes of Tom DeLay.
When the Democrats take over the Congress next year, I hope they put Ms. McKinney
in charge of reorganizing and training the Capitol Police. Clean that house in November!

Never Leaving Iraq

Remember Bush saying we'd be in Iraq as long as he was president?
Want to know why he said that?

Cheney has 400,000 shares of Halliburton.
Sure, they have the hundreds of billions they stole from Iraq and the Treasury,
but you know those greedy oil bastards - they never have enough money and
they don't mind sacrificing a few thousands soldiers for a few more dollars.

Subject: Gore's speaking style

Bart, that's how thinking people speak.
Unfortunately, the bulk of the  'Nascar, Pro wrestling, American Idol', 6th grade reading level  public
can't stay awake through a whole sentence as eloquent as that  because it taxes their intellect.

J Mc

But J Mc, knowing the voters are "the 'Nascar, Pro wrestling, American Idol', 6th grade reading level  public,"
why is Gore trying to reach them with "the first sip of a bitter cup which will be proffered to us?"

You'd think a smart candidate would have the sense to speak the language the voters use.

Note to the DNC:
I can translate senate gobbledegook to the language most Americans speak.
I'll help you witless tossers in the event you want to win next time around.

I still can't believe we lost - twice - to the stupidest, most crooked politician in history.

Subject: Show 90 and health care

Hi Bart, loved your show # 90.
You've been really getting contemplative with your shows, getting into deep thoughts
(no sarcasm intended) about everything, without losing your humor; I love it.

If the monkey mail guy really knew a damn thing about the health care issue, he'd know it's not called that.
It's called government funded group coverage (not sure what euphemism the GOP Bastards use for it).
So yes, it is socialized health care - for them only.

That's what's so goddamn hypocritical about these SOB's - they deride government paid health care, which is
paid by us taxpayers - but the rest of us are not good enough for it.  They continue to call giving it to everybody
"socialism", when their own hypocritical asses are covered by "socialist" health care.

They take our $, take the benefits, then say we're commies if we want the same. Damn hypocrites.
Meanwhile, my wife and I lost thousands of $ on an individual insurance policy b/c the Clinton Plan
didn't exist at the time and the policy was the only way to get insurance, or we'd be bankrupt.

Man of Peace Buried with Honors

 Link

 Excerpt:
Doss endured ridicule for his beliefs but "remained true to his convictions even when it was
not the most popular thing to do," said the director of the Medal of Honor Museum in Chattanooga.

While under fire on Okinawa, Doss carried 75 wounded soldiers to the edge of a 400-foot cliff
and lowered them to safety.   During a later attack, he was seriously wounded in the legs by a grenade.
According to the citation, as he was being carried to safety, he saw a more critically injured man and
crawled off his stretcher, directing the medics to help the other man.

"He wanted to serve. He just didn't want to kill anybody," said a veteran who attended.
"Most Medal of Honor recipients received their medal for killing someone. He received his by saving lives."

John McCain turns Whore

 Link

 Excerpt:
Watching a true American hero hang a "For Sale" sign on his principles is a profoundly sad thing.
Especially for me.

I've long admired, respected -- indeed loved -- John McCain. I've written many columns about him
citing his courage and integrity, traveled with him on the Straight Talk Express, been to his home and
met his wonderful family, and introduced him as the keynote speaker at the 2000 Shadow Convention
I helped organize by calling him "the most prominent voice for reform within the political system."
In fact, I am still on the advisory committee of his Reform Institute.

Even though we've frequently disagreed on issues, I have always been impressed with the unfailingly
above-board way he has navigated the often choppy waters of political leadership.
Until now.

Bart - I disagree Stalin's back was broken by "The Great Prevaricator" ... .
Al Franken has pointed out it was a bipartisan effort - starting with Truman and GOP Sen. Arthur Vandenberg.

As in Vanderberg Air Force Base?

But, if a single person gets the credit, it is not Reagan.
Rather, it is Karol Wojtyla - Pope John Paul II.

I will allow him a slice of that pie, because the facts are the facts.
(We won't get into that enabler's potentiallity for sainthood at this time...)

Recently it was revealed that Soviet Military Intelligence was behind his assassination attempt.
And as much as I like Godfather III's implication that he was against cleaning up the Vatican Bank,
rather he used it to help Solidarity - and priests used diplomatic pouches to smuggle in items for Solidarity.

I've only seen G3 once.
Christmas Day, whatever year it came out.
I'm savoring viewing #2.

Pope John Paul II was a maddening contradiction.
In theology, he seemingly was a reincarnation of Pope Pius IX.

But in terms of political freedom, you could tell he had lived under Hitler and Stalin - he supported
democracy even when the results were against him.  (Think his example could teach the National GOP
how to accept elections instead of trying to steal them?)

Poker Fans Fight Gambling Ban
We want less government and fewer nannies

 Link

 Excerpt:
Three professional poker players raised the stakes in a debate over Internet gambling Tuesday,
calling on Congress to reject three bills that attempt to stop U.S. residents from playing online poker.

Poker pros Howard Lederer, Chris Ferguson, and Greg Raymer, joining the Poker Players Alliance at
a press conference, criticized the three bills for requiring banks to monitor their customers' transactions in
an attempt to stop them from using overseas gambling sites. The players questioned why poker,
legal in U.S. casinos, should be illegal online.

That's a good question. If you can't control yourself, poker isn't the problem.
We can't shut down everything that might be abused by a small percentage.

Congress needs to spend their time and energy going after Osama or some kiddie porn threat
instead of joining with the "God hates gambling" religious nuts to interfere with the law-abiding
guy drinking a beer, playing poker online in his underwear.

Subject: One of your oldest (first) readers

Bart, I'm Abigayle's Father, from Georgia,
one of the first 12 readers you emailed your newsletter to back in '96.

I quit the Internet, news, TV,  and govt service the day they stole the election in 2000.
I felt we were headed for a Dark Age. After 6 long years of hermitage, I thought I would
stick my neck back out, and you're the first site I thought of.

My, how Bart has changed from the early days. I guess thats what happens.
Heck Abigayle learned to read on your site and she's 10 now,
and is a fine fire-breathing Democrat (not the pink tutu kind).

Well, you might be too Big Time now to write back, but thats OK.
Good to see you swingin the hammer.
I'm ready to get back involved and kick some RLLNW ass.

My observations after a few days :
1. The DeLay thing is a BIG deal. We've got a chance now.
2. If the Nazi's numbers stay in the 30's, another "attack" will "happen" before Nov.
3. I live next to McKinney's district; every time the bastards attack her,
she gains 20 more points. She's a lock. We love her down here.
4. If we take Congress in Nov, it will be a repeat of '74. Cheney will resign, McCain
will take his place and become president after El Stupido is impeached & removed.

Lets Do This,
Abigayle's Father

Dude, great to hear from you.
You've got about 1200 back issues to read.

Since you last checked in, we came up with BartCop Radio.
