Qaeda's Reverse-Reverse Psychology
 by Robert Parry

 consortiumnews.com

 Excerpt:
George W. Bush loves to tell his audiences that they must "listen to the words of the enemy"
and "take their words seriously," thus setting up his argument that al-Qaeda wants the United States
to leave Iraq so the U.S. military must stay in Iraq

Like much of what Bush has said about the Iraq War, this presidential homespun wisdom always has
had more emotional appeal than actual logic. But a newly released videotape from al-Qaeda's
second-in-command Ayman al-Zawahiri demonstrates why Bush's argument has never made sense.

I don't even know some of these guys.

Who is Number 5?
He looks like Richard Perle, but he's not running.

Who is Number 7 and who is 10?
I guess one of them Tancredo and one is Ron Paul,
but if I don't recognize them,
they need to drop out of this race

Lott to Monkey: Results or else!
Segregationists signal the GOP is leaving Bush Country

 Link

 Excerpt:
Trent Lott is serving notice that Bush's new strategy in Iraq has until about fall
before GOP members will start to bail so they can save their acreers in Washington.

Lott's words put a fine point on what Senate Republican stalwarts have been discussing quietly for weeks.
It also echoed remarks made this weekend by House Minority Leader John Boner, R-Ohio, indicating the
GOP's limited patience on the war.

Republicans have agreed to uphold Bush's war funding veto but called for a surrender date this fall.
Without the 2/3 majority needed to override Bush's veto, Democrats are redrafting the bill.

So, the GOP has a surrender date on their calendar.
Why not surrender now and save the lives of those who'll be killed while they play politics?

The Great Oil Robbery

 smirkingchimp.com

 Excerpt:
In case you're wondering why crude oil prices are down from last year, hanging around at about $60
a barrel, while gasoline prices have soared past $3.10/gallon nationwide, just check out the latest profit
reports from the oil companies. They are at record levels.

The answer for this seeming contradiction is simple: Americans are being robbed blind by the oil industry.

Sure, the oil companies, and their PR agency will give you all kinds of reasons for higher gasoline prices
at a time of falling crude prices: problems at two refineries in Texas and Oklahoma, rising demand or whatever.
But the real answer is that there is simply no competitive market in this industry.

The three remaining oil companies are so tight, they don't have to get together to conspire to raise prices.
One raises prices, the second follows suit, then the third raises prices even higher, so the first robber-barons
raise the price again and the second follows suit again.

This will continue until the Democrats say "Enough!"
Granted, they have a thousand investigations to get to, but just issuing a round of subpoenas
to the sons if bitches making $75,000 profit per minute might bring prices down 50 cents.

 Excerpt:
A special committee of the World Bank's governing board increased pressure on Wolfo the Whore
to resign Monday, concluding that he went too far in arranging a job and pay raises for his lover.

The seven-member committee did not make its report public, but a bank official with ties to the panel
said Wolfowitz was given only a day or two to respond. The maneuver seemed designed to force him
to step down quickly, thus avoiding further public action in the controversy.

At this point - all Bush people are poison.

They are glowing - they are radioactive.

Bush = Death and everybody knows it.

Corky gets thrown out of a Pro Bass Shop

The Whores of the NY Times

 Link

 Excerpt:
A New York Times editorial on May 7th is titled "The Soft Bigotry of Iraq," and begins:

"Whether out of blind loyalty or blind denial, most Congressional Republicans are prepared
to back up President Bush's veto of the Iraq spending bill."

Whether out of blind loyalty or blind denial or corrupt corporate interests, the New York Times
pretends to be writing only about Republicans, while building into its editorial the assumption that
the Democrats, too, must retreat in the face of a veto. The Democrats, as we all need to be
constantly reminded, are in the majority, yet the Times' editorial arrives at this as its penultimate sentence:

"The final version of the spending bill should include explicit benchmarks and timetables for the Iraqis,
even if Mr. Bush won't let Congress back them up with a clear timetable for America's withdrawal."

"Mr. Bush" won't LET Congress pass a bill demanded by the vast majority of Americans?
Why, because he might veto it again? If he vetoes enough of these war spending bills,
Americans will get what they wanted anyway: he'll have to end the war.

The Republicans have their own TV news network
and dozens of we-love-Bush newspapers and magazines.

The Democrats just can't figure out how to copy that,
so our news choices are leaning right and right-wing.

Of course, when Gore started his network (has anybody seen it?)
he was sure to make it non-partisan because it wouldn't be fair to
have a lefty TV channek and our side is allll about being fair.

Subject: Hillary's F-ing business

Wow, I never saw that coming, Palast digs the dirt on everyone.
He is the greatest reporter of our time.

He has uncovered so many truths about Bush, and 9/11.
Obstruction of Justice scandals involving the White House efforts to stall
the hunt for Osama Bin Laden were all unearthed by the great Greg Palast.

If he thinks Hillary is a phony for getting involved in slave labor, then she could at least say,
"I once was involved in profit from globalization labor, and I want to tell you I became more aware
of the brutal labor practices not being regulated and soon enough things became regulated.
In fact China is ahead of us in moving toward clean renewable energy and sustainable buildings.
Living Buildings even. Please forgive my ignorance not knowing what sustains me."
 Russel B

I think most of the world's problems could be solved if Hillary would just confess.

Why isn't god blamed for anything good?
Could the tornadoes merely been chance?
Or aggravated by global warming?
 Scott at Home

Well sure, you've put your finger on the paradox.

If 100 people are on a plane that crashes, and 90 die,
the religious crazies claim, "God wanted those ten to survive."
But that means God wanted those 90 to die - no way around that.

Of course the tornadoes strike by chance - they don't have a choice.
Heat rises and Earth's rotation combinds with temperature differences - then boom!
The crazies think God is guiding the tornado with his holy hands.

Why do normal people throw away their brains so many times per day?

Subject: Bush/Iraq/Christians

but now, with Shrub in command, it's turning into an Islamic state..

Wonder how that goes over with the Pat Robertson crowd!?

Christians fleeing Iraq

 Link

 Excerpt:
Iraq's Christian community is close to extinction as thousands are forced to flee Baghddad
Islamic extremists have increasingly targeted Iraqi Chrisitans demanding they convert

An exodus of Christians is under way in the southern district of Dora after groups
affiliated to al-Qa'eda issued a threat of "convert or be killed".

Most have fled to Kurdish northern Iraq, where the village of Ankawa has grown into
an overcrowded "city of Christ", while others leave for Syria or Jordan.

Priests claim that half Baghdad's pre-2003 Christian population - estimated in the hundreds of thousands
- has fled or been killed. They also claim that the Iraqi government is failing to protect them.

Giuliani new Abortion problems
He gave to Planned Parenthood 7 times

 NYWTimes

 Excerpt:
Rudy says his campaign could be boiled down to two major themes: national security and economic security.

The cross-dresser did not cite values as a theme, which is unusual for a Fascist thug, and the omission seemed
especially striking Monday, coming as it did just hours after a report that he and his former wife had donated
$900 to an abortion rights advocacy group and provider.

Giuliani made personal donations to Planned Parenthood in 1993, 1994, 1998 and 1999.

John McSuckass remains in second place at 23%, with Fred Thompson, who's not
even in the race yet, at 13% and Mitt Romney at 10% filling out the top tier.

Subject: Paris Hilton

This is the kind of story I like to see.
The whore is finally doing some jail time.
Her excuse is that cops pull her over to 'hit on" her?

Well if that is the case you would think she would be smart enough to have a valid driver's license.
Its gotta be the Prosecutor's fault that she didn't complete the conditions of her previous probation
and having a suspended license?

She has the cash to bribe the poor DMV worker....how hard could/should it be
to get a valid license when you have more cash than good sense?
 Poor Paris,  oh the horror!!!

I think you speak for most of the country.
Maybe she'll catch a shank in jail and America will be rid of her.
Then the world will be perfect - no, wait - we'd still have Hillary.

Small bump in a poll

 Link

 Excerpt:
Hillary has increased her lead over the Democratic field, according to a new
CNN/Opinion Research Corporation Poll released Monday afternoon.

In the past month, Clinton's support among Democrats rose to 38 percent from 30 percent,
while support for Barack Obama dropped by two points to 24.   Al Gore continues to draw
strong support even though he has not announced. Gore and Edwards each received 12.
The poll carries a margin of error of plus or minus 4.5 points.

Well, that not very scientific.
Any poll worth a flip should at least talk to 1,000 people.

Subject: War for oil?

If Bush went to war with Iraq for the oil, where is it?

The first thing they did after they invaded was build a pipeline to Kuwait.
(It's what Halliburton does best)
That's what 100,000 soldiers are guarding in Iraq.
That's why they needed the surge to control Baghdad - because 80%
of the soldiers are guarding Bush's precious pipleline to Kuwait.

Does he have super secret BFEE oil refineries?
Is there a magic BFEE oil warehouse hidden somewhere in the sands of Texas?

No magic is involved.
Kuwait owes their very existence to the Bush Crime Family.
Remember the last fake war started by Bush the Smarter?
Kuwait turned off their pumps - they're selling Iraq's oil for Bush.

If you want to call the war a mistake, call it a mistake.
Spare us the X-Files bullshit.
 Greg S

Bush's "mistake" is making the BFEE thugs hundreds of millions of dollars of profit per day.
When a Bush "mistake" makes that kind of money, expect those "mistakes"
to keep happening again and again and again.

Why do you think we're in Year Five of a failed quagmire?
Why do you think - after four years - there are no meters on Iraq's oil pumps?

How much is $200M a day times five, six, seven years?

Would evil men send thousands of soldiers to their deaths
just to make $200M a day for five, six, seven years?

Missile Defense Dangerous?
  by Ivan Eland

 consortiumnews.com

 Excerpt:
Installing radar for tracking incoming missiles in the Czech Republic and anti-missile interceptors
in Poland could do more harm than good.

Ostensibly, the European radar and interceptors are aimed at the future threat of nuclear-armed
Iranian missiles. But Russia suspects - perhaps with good reason - that the real purpose of the
deployments is to cement the security guarantees the United States has given to the two former Russian allies.

In addition, Russia fears, also with justification, that the missile defenses could be augmented someday
and used against Russian missiles. Moscow's vitriolic threat to pull out of an arms control agreement
in protest is a warning the United States should heed.

Have they gotten these anti-missle shields to work?
Last I hear, they only work if the missle they're trying to stop has a homing beacon.

Iraq pumped 3.5M barrels daily before Bush invaded
and then they got their 2003 Halliburton upgrade

Bush is stealing $220,000,000 every day.

No wonder they were so eager to start a war,

stealing  $220,000,000 every day.

It's the biggest theft in Earth's history.

Exxon made $10B profit in 90 days
$100M a day - all profit - because Bush started a fake war

3,378  families destroyed by Bush greed.

...and how much did BIG OIL make yesterday?
Exxon makes $108M - every day

Bush can live with that,
because Iraq's oil wells have no meters
and his front company is moving to Dubai.

$200M a day,
$300M a day - where's that money going?

Bush has killed more Americans than Osama.

BCR Show #116

Listen to it before you share it
There's a little language in this show.

Part One is a "debate" with Randi Rhodes.
Hopefully this we been seen as an example
of how 2 Democrats can strongly disagree
without the usual hyper-snippishness.

Who won the "debate?"
I think the vote will go her way.

Click to Listen to Part One of Show 116

Part Two needs some 'splainin'
Michael DelGiorno is a lying, Nazi whore and,
worse than our vulgar Pigboy, he hides behind Jesus.
He broke the law, he got caught on tape,
so he "confessed" and begged for forgiveness.

I know I got carried away.

I had a little too much fun, so be prepared
to not hate me for what I did to him.
If you're not in the mood for a mega-sarcastic,
rhetorically violent beatdown, maybe skip Part Two.
There's some comedy at the end of each half.
