They say FOX has totally thrown in with the gay-loving, immigrant-hiding, gun-grabbing baby-killer, but why?
At least Thompson is a real Republican, so why does FOX hate him?
And why do they love Rudy to the point of selling out the conservatives?

If conservatives had any balls, they'd compalin about FOX turning "gay" on them.

Thanksgiving in the Two Americas
  by Brent Budowsky

 consortiumnews.com

 Excerpt:
In our two Americas, this holiday season will be the best of times for some and the worst of times for others.

Last year at this time there was news of soaring bonuses on Wall Street, including some very lavish rewards
for those most responsible for the mortgage financing crisis. We will soon read of lavish bonuses again, and
of executives at some offending companies reaping hundreds of millions of dollars of personal wealth through
legal insider stock sales as their reward for the American tragedy they helped cause.

In one America this Thanksgiving oil prices drive to $100 a barrel, gas prices impose pain on average Americans,
and home heating oil rises to punishing heights while some reap record profits from the dictatorship of oil.
In the other America there is much work for those who feed the hungry, clothe the needy and heal the hurting among us.

Meanwhile, the number of foreclosures rises through the roof. Many good Americans will spend this Thanksgiving
losing their homes, or nervously praying the court order does not arrive while their frail holiday tree hosts modest
gifts given with great love.

Bush and his cronies have no idea what it means to struggle financially.
Stealing the White House was just a tool they used to steal our money and kill our soldiers for profit.

Everyone who still thinks there's a God, raise your hand.

Quotes

"I believe I am by far the most electable Democrat, because I know exactly what I am getting into.
I've got no illusions and there are no surprises and I am 100 percent ready. I think my political
experience of having been on the receiving end of so much incoming fire over the years equips me
for understanding you don't take this personally. You can't take it personally. I drive them crazy
because they've spent hundreds of millions of dollars attacking and defaming me. I don't care.
If that's how they want to spend their time and money, let them do it. I trust the American people."

-- Hillary, begging for someone to argue with her,     Link

She's certainly right in that the Fascist bastards will spend hundreds of millions of dollars attacking
our nominee - and which candidate has the most experience fighting the sons of bitches - and winning?

Pulling a Linda Blair
Screwing someone with a crucifix is always a bad idea

 Link

 Excerpt:
Looks like literally nothing is sacred.

A new report by the National Labor Committee reveals that crucifixes for sale at major religious institutions
such as St. Patrick’s Cathedral and Trinity Church in New York City were made in Chinese sweatshops.

Distributed by the Association for Christian Retail, the items are not labeled “Made in China.”
Sometimes they seem to be labeled “Made in Italy,” according to NLC Director Charles Kernaghan.

Following a NLC press conference yesterday outside St. Patrick’s announcing the report,
Kernaghan said both St. Patrick’s and Trinity pulled the items from their store shelves.

There's that Bush/GOP pattern again - rape somebody until you get caught, then say, "Sorry, my bad."

The Association for Christian Retail, which last year did $4.63 billion in business, according to the NLC,
is far less conciliatory. Democracy Now reported that the association accuses the NLC of providing no
documentation for its charges—a claim Kernaghan easily denied when he provided a production receipt
with the same serial number as a crucifix sold in the United States.

The Christian Retail crooks don't know where they bought their sweatshop crucifixes?
Every time the religious frauds get caught raping or stealing - whatever - it makes me wonder
how people can still have faith in the mockery of God that organized rligion is.

From the Pope to Ted Haggard to Oral Roberts to Pat Robertson, it all a con game
and so few of us have the brains to see the obvious.

Wounded Vets Told to Repay Bonuses
How dare they lose an arm or a leg

 Link

 Excerpt:
Service members seriously wounded in Bush's quagmires in Iraq and Afghanistan after they received
a $10,000 bonus for enlisting are being asked by the Pentagon to repay portions of the incentive money,
says a U.S. senator who calls the practice an example of military policy gone wrong.

"A bill in the mail is not the kind of present our soldiers deserve in this holiday season," says Chuck Schumer,
one of two Democratic senators (Feinstein is the other) who are poster boys for "Torture Gone Wild."
"Our veterans are not being treated with the dignity, respect and thanks that they deserve. It's just a disgrace."

At a news conference Sunday, he said the policy remained in effect despite a report last July by a presidential
commission that wounded veterans were being unfairly penalized by a requirement that enlistees must fulfill
their entire term of service or lose a pro-rated portion of their bonus.

"This policy is now preventing thousands of combat-wounded vets from getting the bonuses they have earned,"
Schumer said. "This includes New Yorkers who suffered wounds or catastrophic injuries before concluding their duty."

He said that when the case of Jordan Fox, an Army sniper partially blinded by a roadside bomb in Iraq,
was called to the Pentagon's attention, officials replied that the demand for him to repay $2,800 was a
"clerical error" and canceled the debt.

No, that's not what happened. AFTER YOU GOT CAUGHT, you had no choice but to back down.
It was always the greedy Republicans' intention to screw the wounded troops and steal their money.
Every dollar stolen from a wounded solider is another dollar the Bush Family Evil Empire can steal.

Remember, over 40 % of these billions are going to Bush cronies - NOT the troops.

Rich and White? The GOP Needs You
It's OK is you're gay, just be rich and white

 Link

 Excerpt:
Confronting an enormous fund-raising gap, Republican Party bastards are aggressively recruiting wealthy
white candidates who will spend their own money to finance their Congressional races, party officials say.
Republican Strategerists have enlisted wealthy candidates to run in at least a dozen Congressional districts.

These wealthy bastards have each already invested $100,000 to $1 million of their own money to
finance their "screw-the-poor" campaigns. Experts say that is a large amount for this early in the cycle.

Democrats say that the recruiting underscores the Fascist's financial weakness since they lost Congress in 2006.

There are SIX Republican senators who've chosen to resign rather that see a Lady Democrat in the White House.
Do you think so many would resign if Obama or Edwards was our assumed nominee?

They all CLAIM they want to run against Hillary, but why are so many of them leaving?

Happy Days are Here Again?
Can we pull defeat from the jaws of victory?

 Link

 Excerpt:
So, even if Democrats have done little to burnish a reputation for running things any better - as reflected in
the low approval ratings for Congress they now control - the fact remains: They may not have to.

That’s because every traditional indicator of election forecasting - from public opinion polls and issue resonance
to candidate recruitment and the “over/under” balance of seats in play - suggests that congressional Democrats
have just as much going for them in 2008 as they had in 2006, if not more. They now have the power of
incumbency to give them added advantages in raising money, attracting top-tier candidates, controlling the
legislative agenda and capturing the political zeitgeist.

Is it really going to happen?
Will our next president have a veto-proof majority?

First, we have to guard against those who want to derail our front-runner.
If she wins, she'll have to be at constant attention for the traditional Democrtic back-stabbing.

This ought to be a slam-dunk, no-brainer, no matter what that idiot/slut Zogby says.
But, knowing the suicidal Dems like I do, they could still find a way to screw this up.

If only we had a Dem with an IQ of 64 to run this party!

Lott resigning over gay sex scandal????

  http://bigheaddc.com

 Excerpt:
He would travel all over the world to meet his clients, which included high profile celebrities,
businessmen and even politicians in the United States Congress.

Sometimes within his writings he’d give advice on how other males could become successful escorts.
Other times he’d post videos of himself flexing on YouTube. Once, he even scolded gay escort
Mike Jones for outing Rev. Ted Haggard as one of his gay escort business participants.

“You were paid for sex, Mike,” he wrote in 2006. “The most important rule you can follow when
taking people’s money in exchange for sex is that—no matter what—their lives stay their own and
whatever passes between the two of you remains private. Period.”

Many of his clients greatly appreciate his professionalism. In fact, according to one 66-year-old patron
who reviewed him on a gay escort site, he is “a very reliable escort who keeps you informed.”

The boy happens to be real, and his “stage name” is Benjamin Nicholas. One of the politicos Big Head DC
has learned he’s alleged to have been involved with is the married Sen. Trent Lott, 66, who unexpectedly
announced his retirement on Monday. Lott is well-known to have been against a plethora of gay rights
issues throughout his terms in Congress.

Nicholas confirmed that another publication is working on a story about a “possible relationship”
between Lott and himself, but Nicholas also “politely declined” an interview for that story
.

Lott is the 6th GOP senator to say, "Fuck it, I'm out of here."
Is it the gay sex scandal that got him?
Or is it just good, old-fashioned Republican greed?

Bart,

I think it was the first season of the West Wing, when Martin Sheen said he intended to introduce a bill
that was not widely backed. When he was told he couldn´t win, he replied, "When you´re the President,
you don´t fight the battles you can win. You fight the battles that need to be fought."

It´s a damned shame today´s real Democrats don´t have that same dedication.

"Bush seems to have Pelosi and Reid in a full nelson. Just a year after Democrats charged into power
against a Republican president with bottom-scraping poll numbers and a soured war, it's the Democrats
who are crying uncle in the biggest budget confrontation since the 1995 government shutdown.
Pelosi and Reid have already begun backing down. They wrote the White House this month asking
for negotiations. Last week, Reid offered to 'split the difference' with Bush on the spending bills.
The White House refused."

     --  Carolyn Lochhead,   Link

Well of course he refused to negotiate.
As stupid as Bush is, even he knows Pelosi and Reid will back down because they do it every time.
We need wartime consiglieris right now, not two Kumbaya-singing pussies.

Pelosi's "Impeachment is off the table" could become as famous as Chamberlain's "Peace in our time"
on history's yardstick of biggest political bungles of all time.

Subject: Hiroshima

Hey Bart.

One thing, even as a young kid, bothered me about Hiroshima: how did they not surrender, thereby
allowing Nagasaki to also get nuked? Did they think that big ol' mushroom cloud was a one-hit wonder?

Did they think the leaflet droppings warning of round 2 were just a bluff?? If for no other reason,
Hirohito should have been convicted of war crimes for letting another 80,000 people die - but no,
he gets to stay on as glorious-albeit-impotent cloud-being-on-earth.

All the best,
 John

John, you make some good points. I think not surrendering after Hiroshima was the right move
because total surrender to some invading country - to give them your land - is no small feat.

And maybe Round Two wasn't a bluff, but rounds 3, 4, 5 etc were all bluffs.
Truman let them think we had a hundred more of those and that's what forced their surrender.
Had they known we only had two, they could've said, "Go to hell" and fought us for years.

"I don’t think Michelle would claim that she is the best qualified person to be a
U.S. Senator by virtue of me talking to her on occasion about the work I’ve done."

-- Obama, saying that Hillary watching Bill do a job doesn't make her qualified to do the same job,   Link

Maybe this is what Hillary meant when she asked her opponents to fight fair, and not use Republican tricks?
The GOP wants you to think Hillary baked cookies for 8 years, and what could she possibly know about
important "mens work" that her husband was doing when she was in her little women's kitchen?
In effect, he's calling Hillary "Pickels" and I think voting women will take that as an insult.

"If she wants to tout her experience of having visited countries, that's fine. I don't think that
Madeleine Albright would think Hillary was the face of foreign policy during the Clinton Administration.
But maybe she'll disagree with that."

"Hillary represented American interests and values during her visits to more than 80 countries
and would be ready from the very first day to lead our nation in a dangerous and complicated
world, which is why I am supporting her candidacy."

-- Madeleine Albright, making Obama look like a newbie making a lot of rookie mistakes
,    Link

I like Obama - I've said so many times - but we can't have a newbie making rookie mistakes when he's dealing
with Al Qaeda or a nuclear North Korea or a insane-with-nukes Iran so he's making Hillary's point for her.
He's just not ready, it's not Obama's time - yet.  He needs to ride with training wheels a little longer.

Subject: It depends on what your definition of CHANGE is

All of the Democratic candidates are running on the platform that they will bring change.
But what change means varies from candidate to candidate. For example, if you elect
Obama or Edwards change means that they are going to be different because they
have never done this before and are "Washington Outsiders". To Clinton however
change means reversing what Bush did to America and going back to the way
things were when Bill Clinton was president.

The definition of change should focus not on what you are changing from, but what
you are changing to. With Clinton you pretty much know what you're getting. I think
that president Hillary Clinton is going to be very similar to president Bill Clinton.
In a way Hillary's campaign is a referendum on Bill Clinton's presidency. And when
you elect Hillary you get Bill, too. So if you like Bill Clinton then you should vote Hillary.

If you don't like Bill Clinton then vote for someone else. When Bill Clinton was president
we had peace and prosperity and a budget surplus. So it me it's like the band is getting
back together again, which is why I'm going to support Hillary in the Democratic primary.

Subject: Hillary

Bart, I don't hate Hillary, I just don't think she's the right person to lead this country.
Curious about your opinion of the latest Gallup Poll, here's the link:

Here's the really interesting part:

Hillary trails Giuliani, McCain, Romney, and even Thompson!!
Obama is tied with Giuliani, and leads the other 3.

Thoughts?

Thank you,

Paul, that's not what that story says - it says "Dems look good" and she's leading the Dems.
Were you gambling that I'd post this without checking it out? :)

The whore media says Hillary must win Iowa, and I think she will, but she doesn't need to.
She's still waaaay ahead of the pack and it'll take something like a terrorist attack to stop her.

Bush turns friends into enemies

 Link

 Excerpt:
One by one the leaders on the world stage who put their faith in Bush and thoughtlessly did his bidding
have fallen in disgrace, usually rejected by their own voters. The first to go were Italy’s Silvio Berlusconi
and Spain’s José María Aznar. Then Britain’s Tony Blair was forced to surrender to give Labour a chance
to hold a majority in the next election. In the last week, Jaros?aw Kaczy?ski, a conservative ally in Poland fell,
and over the weekend, Bush’s most faithful follower in the entire pack, the veritable boot-licker John Howard
of Australia. In each case, the association with Bush was electoral cyanide to voters back home.

We called him "President Poison" months or years ago.
If the low-IQ Okie could see it, why couldn't everybody?

Subject: Revisionist history of Hiroshima

Hi Bart,

Ask any of the Marines earmarked for Operation ‘Olympic’ if they would have agreed with not using the bomb.
I knew some of them, one had been through 5 island campaigns and knew he’d never have survived another.
Invade Japan? Take Pelieu, Iwo, Okinawa and multiply them by 500 or so for the numbers of dead/wounded GIs
…and then multiply THAT by 20 to get the dead Japanese tally.

Sure, the atom bombs were awful. So is stabbing another human with a bayonet. War absolutely sucks, and the
A-bombs meant the end of WWII YEARS before a ‘conventional’ invasion/occupation of Japan would have done.
Might as well say the Holocaust was Jewish propaganda.

Keep up the GREAT site mate- glad you present different views, even if I vehemently disagree ones like this.
-Don

Don, I agree with you.

The bad news is - it's our side that's re-writing history.
Maybe it's true, but I'd never before heard that Ike, Leahy and MacArthur opposed the bomb.

Is that something everybody knew but me?
That makes Truman a nut who refused to listen to his battlefield generals during a war.

I wish the old consortiumnews.com would come back.
If they had to change to stay in business, I can understand that, but it still disappoints me.

We lost another 0 soldiers since last issue.

We have 3,876 dead soldiers.

We'd like to bring the soldiers home,
but a certain simian is stopping us.

How much did BIG OIL make yesterday?
Exxon makes $108M - every day

Bush can live with that,
because Iraq's oil wells have no meters

The Poodles of the U.S. News Media
 by Norman Soloman

 consortiumnews.com

 Excerpt:
At times, long after laying the big flagstones on the path to war, mainstream U.S. media outlets
resolve to be more independent next time. And why not? As Mark Twain commented,
"It's easy to quit smoking. I've done it hundreds of times."

When the president and his team set out to prepare the media ground for war,
they can rely on a repetition compulsion that's widespread in the American press.

Major outlets seem unable to resist White House agenda-setting for war. Cases in point span decades,
from Vietnam and the Dominican Republic to Grenada and Panama, to Iraq and Yugoslavia, to
Afghanistan and Iraq again - with Iran likely to join the list next year.

The political feasibility of waging these tragic wars can be largely traced to the U.S. media's reflexive
capitulations to (a GOP president) - providing stenographic services far more often than tough scrutiny.

In the U.S., superficial self-critiques have become periodic rituals at big news organisations. But the basic
and chronic failures to engage in independent journalism routinely elude serious examination, whether by
the "public editor" at The New York Times or by The Washington Post's in-house media columnist,
Howard Kurtz, who has long double-dipped as a punch-pulling media critic on the CNN payroll
.

I'd like to hear from people in other countries - does your mass media lie as much as ours?
Are your TV news and your newspapers held hostage by religiously insane liars?

Or is America the only "free" country where the lying whores control the airwaves and printing presses?
