nobody talks about WHY 9-11 happened?
It happened because the Bush bastards got greedy for Arab oil.
When you invade a country under pretend circumstances,
why are we surprised when that country fights back?
Obama and the Lipstick Flap
Excerpt:
Obama addressed the controversy (widely regarded
as contrived) over his "lipstick on a pig" remarks
on Wednesday, accusing McCain of childish distortion
and deliberate distraction from more substantive issues.
"I want to address the latest made-up controversy
by the John McCain campaign," Obama said. "What their
campaign has done this morning is the same game
that has made people sick and tired of politics in this country.
They seize on an innocent remark, throw out an
outrageous ad because they know it is catnip for the media.
It would be funny except for the news media decided
that was the lead story yesterday. The McCain campaign
would much rather have a story about phony and
foolish diversion then about the future."
The counter attack - both against the media and
McCain - was quintessential Obama, positioning himself on
the high ground while bemoaning the fact that
political history is littered with examples of senseless and
counterproductive attacks. For some Democrats,
it may not be enough.
But why settle for that when you could make McCain suck on that so hard
that he'd think twice about pulling this kind of stunt a second time?
Obama has painted himself into a corner with this "high road" crap
and now his options to smack McCain back hard are very limited.
Seems like every day, McCain kicks Obama down the steps and Obama replies
by saying
"McCain kicking me down the steps is old politics
and it's counter-productive,"
which is true, but Obama is at the bottom of the steps, bloody and
with broken bones.
One thing he could do is cancel his schedule for the next day, then
fly to wherever McCain is
and announce "I'm here to confront McCain
the Big Liar," and then confront the son of a bitch.
Once word got out that Obama was flying to wherever McCain was to confront
him about lying,
I predict the major networks would cut into their soap operas to cover
the confrontation.
McCain's options would be to run like a school girl or face the music.
With all the reporters as witnesses, (not tho mention a live feed on
all networks) Obama could
corner McCain and force the room to watch his complete statement in
context and then hand the mic
to McCain and ask him to explain exactly where Obama called that Alaskan
moose a pig.
I'd imagine Obama would get an overnight, 10-12 point boost in the polls,
but he'd have to stop being "Mr. Polite" to pull something like that
off.
If Obama did this ONE TIME, McCain would be forced to stop such horseshit
lying,
but since Obama only wants to win a certain way, he's handcuffed.
Bullies will bully you until you make them bleed.
One punch could turn this race around.
Is Obama willing to throw that punch?

Bart, you asked how Obama could still win when
he is being beaten in the polls
and savaged in the media and still won't 'fight'
like you want?
You have probably seen the map of the electoral
votes state by state where his is ahead by
a substantial number and the ever important Vegas
odds that are still 60-40 in favor of Obama.
Ever wonder why those numbers got that way?
It's all about the ground game. The foundation
for the ground game was Howard Dean's "Deaniacs"
and sites like MoveOn.org and the much demeaned
DailyKos. The 50 state strategy and Obama's
experience as a community organizer. Obama's
people have collected millions of e-mail addresses,
millions of cell phone numbers and millions of
dollars. Not to mentioning registering more people to
vote than have ever been registered before, especially
first time voters.
I agree that Rove is a junkyard dog and needs
to be beaten and that he is chewing up Obama on
the airwaves. McCain and Palin control the news
cycles right now, but that won't last.
Obama's careful building of a foundation and a
well thought out end game will win in the end.
Hail Mary passes are exciting and all but it
is the ground game that eats up the yards and
puts you is scoring position.
Anyway that's how I figure.

I recently picked up a CD for my 4-year-old daughter
at the library (in Germany).
It is a very gentle way of teaching girls about

and that they can say no. I was amazed. And of

sex ed to kindergarten kids. I agree with it, though.

I don't remember him creating 5 million jobs in the last 12 months.

Clinton.
