TV Stuff
I saw a documentary on Joe Strummer and The Clash on some cable TV channel.
Did you know he named himself Strummer because he wasn't very good on lead guitar?
Must've been a pay channel because there was lots of cursing - but it was well done.
Almost everyone they interviewed was sitting by a bonfire - that was interesting
but I wondered during the show: Mrs Bart and I were lucky enough to see Led Zeppelin
in Birmingham, AL (that's my audio with someone else's Super 8 film) and Queen
in St Louis (Typo - Styx wasn't there, but Kansas and Mahogany Rush were) and The Clash
live at the Bronco Bowl in Dallas.
Anybody else have the good fortune to see those three bands live?
We had second row center seats for that Dallas show, but just before the band came out
the ushers showed up and said The Clash wanted the kids to be able to f-ing dance so
they moved us to the back of the front section - still good seats, but I hated that.
I hear there's a nice bootleg of that Clash Bronco Bowl show.
Anybody got a copy of that?
