"Everybody knows that the Fox News Channel is merely a wing

Canadian PM disavows "Bush moron" remark

  Click  Here

Canadian Prime Minister Jean Chretien, attempting to head off an embarrassing spat
with Washington, has quickly distanced himself from a senior official who reportedly
 called George Bush "a moron."

This is so awful. The entire world knows he's a moron, but we're all supposed to pretend
he's a smart and honest man or the terrorists win, I guess.  Remember during the campiagn,
a Canadian reporter asked Bush if he supported Canadian Prime Minister Cheese Fries
and Bush said, "Oh, yeah. Me and Cheese Fries are good friends."

He's a bigger moron that people suspect.

CBS News: “As managing editor and anchorman of the CBS Evening News,
I feel compelled to say this: George W. Bush is my military commander. If he says,
‘Rather, I want you to strangle your wife, too’, then I will salute and say, ‘Yes sir, Mr. President.’
It’s been forty years of wedded bliss, Jean, but when Bush gives the word, you had better start
running like an Amarillo armadillo after a Tabasco high colonic.”

Bush wants to blame his recession on September 11.
Remember September 10th?

The majority judges said the plaintiffs brought no evidence that the "crime against nature" law
discriminates against gays and lesbians.  They also sided with the trial judge in not letting
witnesses testify as to the harmful effects of the law on gays and lesbian.

 What are they, nuts?
They must not be doing it right.

This is one of those Bush-era decisions where there's no need to hear from both sides.

 I'm so old,
I remember when judges would look at the evidence before they made a decision.

...but that was back when our votes counted.

"Of course the people don't want war ...but, after all, it is the leaders of the country
who determine the policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along,
whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament or a communist
dictatorship ... voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of
the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked,
and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger."
--  Hermann Goering, one of the original Nazis at his Nuremberg trial in 1946

 Man sentenced in tequila killing

A man was sentenced to 20 years in prison for killing a man over an $8 bottle of tequila last year.

Johnnie Peete gave Mark Divilbiss a bottle of tequila in September 2001, expecting to get paid for it.
A few days later, the 28-year-old hadn't paid up, and Peete stabbed him in the heart.
Judge Charles Atwell ruled that Peete must serve 18 years before becoming eligible for parole.

The judge said he gave Peete a relatively light sentence because the killing was not planned.

Eight dollar tequila is not worthy dying or going to prison for.

Subject: Well, you'll get no money from me now

Greetings from Tennessee,
I've enjoyed the page for a while now and was going to send you a nice holiday donation.

Then, you print a letter from a dumbass that said Gore lost Tennessee in 2000 because
his VP candidate was a Jew. You responded by agreeing and saying "Tennessee is full of racist pigs."
Well, you're both wrong, my friend. I don't recall hearing that stuff about Lieberman even once.
Nobody cared who ran with Gore.

Gore lost Tennessee for these reasons.
1- He ran a pathetic campaign.
2- All of those GOP cheerleaders gave him hell.
3- Gore never responded to any of the attacks.

Sorry to kick your lame politically correct analysis in the balls, but these are the facts.

RM, so - you were going to send a donation, ...but now you're not.
It's a good thing you held up until I published something that pissed you off.

Funny, you'd take that comment about Tennessee personally.
If you said "Oklahoma is full of cock-fighting morons," I'd agree with you.
Why? ...because it's true.
What else could explain the election of Jim Inhofe?

BTW, I agree with your four reasons, especially 3.

Gosh, I sure wish I knew how to please everyone all the time...

"...if you're one of the 42 million Americans with no health insurance, sorry, this (Bush)
bill doesn't apply to you. No, our president is committing your tax money to bail out big
developers and giant insurance companies who lost billions in the stock market. Why bail
them out, but do nothing about families who can't afford health insurance? Well, because
big insurance companies and wealthy developers gave Bush millions of dollars in campaign
donations.  Working Americans without health insurance have not given Mr. Bush a dime.
A spokesman for Mr. Bush said he would be happy to support universal health insurance
as soon as the uninsured fork over big campaign donations to him."

The truth is that not only was Jonathan Pollard an official Israeli spy, who gathered 1 million
top secret documents for Israel which were sold to the Russians, but he was acting as part of
a network under the direction of an Israeli deep penetration mole in high official position,
code-named 'Mega.' Israeli intelligence had wire-tapped the White House communications
system, as Clinton mentioned himself to Monica, and has come out in press accounts.

Foster could have had early indications of this, directly from NSA intercepts, accounting for his
possession of those materials, and providing the motive for his murder, if it was murder rather than suicide.

Is there a new James Bond movie about to come out?

I thought I might've heard something about it, but I haven't seen any ads or promotion for it.
Geez, you'd think they'd find a way to let people know about these things...

Subject: Who's the Evil Empire now?

What in the hell is going on? When I was a kid, they told us about the "evil communists,"
that used all kinds of surveillance devices and tactics to keep track of what everyone
in the USSR was doing at all times.

They would use neighbors spying on neighbors... sounds like Neighborhood Watch TIPS program
They would use kids spying on their own parents... sounds like the DARE program
They would use the police grabbing anyone that looked cross-eyed... sounds like the Home Security Department
They would not need a reason to pick someone up and haul them in... sounds like John Ashcroft
They kept dossiers on everyone... sounds like the Information Awareness Office
They would tell everyone what to think... sounds like Truth Maintenance (have you heard about this one?)

We have seen the enemy, and he is us.

It seems to me that when five members of one branch of government select the chief executive of
another branch, one who is most closely aligned with their particular point of view, and against the
legal votes of the majority of the electorate in both the United States and in the single state of Florida,
it is a reasonable question for the press to ask.

Tom Daschle deserves sympathy if his family is being threatened by talk radio listeners -- or by anyone else.
Over the past year or so, Daschle has endured anthrax attacks, conservative advertising that paired him with
Saddam Hussein, and finally a concerted, successful effort to defeat his Senate Democrats. The gentle, decent
Air Force veteran's frustration must be considerable, particularly in the face of frequent attacks on his patriotism
by a chicken-hawk like Rush Limbaugh (who infamously beat the Vietnam draft due to a boil on his butt, or his
family's political influence, or possibly both). Yet it's hard to imagine what the Senate leader expected to accomplish
by  Click  Here  complaining about Limbaugh and his audience.

I don't agree with Howard Kurtz's  Click  Here  observation that Limbaugh merely "pokes fun" at Democrats
on issues of "policy."  The talk jock attacks liberals and Democrats with as much bile as ever, and talks about
personalities at least as much as policy. If he is now  considered "mainstream," as Kurtz puts it, that's only because
the  mainstream media has moved sharply to the right.

All that Daschle's public complaint achieved, however, was to elevate Limbaugh. Despite grandiose claims that
he represents the American mainstream,  Limbaugh's extreme viewpoint is still shared by a minority; and despite
his worst daily efforts, the candidates he approves have been defeated at the polls repeatedly during the past decade.

Blaming Limbaugh or talk radio for the Democratic midterm losses is pointless. Besides, Brit Hume wants to
claim  credit for Fox News. Last Tuesday he told Imus, "It was because of our coverage that it all happened.
We've become so influential now that people watch us and they take their electoral cues from us. No one should
doubt the influence of Fox News in these matters." (Of course, Hume must have been kidding,  because we know
that his boss Roger Ailes is running a fair, nonpartisan network.) They're all part of the political environment,
they're not going away and they aren't going to change. Instead of wishing that Limbaugh and Fox News would
behave better, liberals need to develop their own media alternatives that are just as aggressive.
Hmmm, I wouldn't want to try and put words in Joe's mouth, but it almost sounds like he's saying we need...

The only security the Department of Homeland Security provides can be found in the fact
that we can rest assured our rights will be trampled anytime the Court-appointed Bush

For instance: In the United States it used to be that before you wound up in prison,

 Requiem for the Democrats
   by Ted Rall

Nov. 5 may have embarrassed the Democratic Party, but it was a relatively minor tremor,
hardly the political earthquake that everyone--the Republicans, the media and even the
Democrats--is portraying. The truism that midterm elections are usually won by the
opposition party has been bypassed before--during periods of crisis.

Fear tends to reward the party in power--even when it's caused by the party in power.

I meant to say that, but Ted beat me to it.
Bush has basically been saying he can't protect us with the Democrats obstructing him,
so people were scared and they wanted to be safe - so they gave him the "tools" to do it.

But when bin Laden attacks us again, Bush will say, "Nobody could have forseen this,"
and he'll take another monthlong vacation and raise more money for his 2004 campaign.

9-11 Report: Saudi Arabia Links Went Unexamined
From the NYWhore Times, so it may just be all made up

A  draft report by the joint Congressional committee looking into the Sept. 11 attacks has
concluded that the F.B.I. and the C.I.A, in their investigations, did not aggressively pursue
leads that might have linked the terrorists to Saudi Arabia, senior government officials said today.

The Bush Family Evil Empire has too much involvement with the Saudis to let something
like September 11th mess it up. They are making billions of dollars. Even so, free oil is
cheaper than cheap oil, so that's why Bush fabricated the Saddam "evidence."
The Bushes did business with Hitler, Noriega, Saddam and Islamic Jihad.
Why shouldn't they deal with the people who funded bin Laden?
