Six -- the group of Senators to which Max Baucus issued
an exclusive invitation to participate in health
care negotiations -- is that each one started out the year in a place
of seeming electoral invincibility. Baucus, Kent
Conrad, Jeff Bingaman, Olympia Snowe, Chuck Grassley and
Mike Enzi won re-election with an average of
72 percent of the vote as of their last election, and none had a
challenger that came closer than 39 points.
It now appears that, for some of these Senators, it's a good thing that they managed to bank some goodwill with the voters.

rating in Iowa is down to 57 percent, according to the latest poll.

at Obama, and I’m no racist

In their efforts to educate themselves on today’s

most teabaggers were the young or old… very few
middle agers. Maybe the middle agers are
too busy trying to make a living to concern themselves

to this demonstration seem to be those that are
disenfranchised from mainstream society.
The young have not yet found their place and the
old have lost their place.
Fear seems to be the common factor here… fear
of not belonging… fear of the unknown.
By joining a group that feeds their fear, they
can now feel as though they belong, that they
are not alone. Some people might call this “mob
mentality”. Some people might be right to do so.

but that just hasn't been satisfying enough for
them. I think it is a good thing when you call a racist out on being
a racist.
Using the euphemism 'the N word' in response
to these racists pricks, lessens the impact that their vile hatred
has on
America and makes them seem not so bad.
Genn Beck, Bill Oreilly, Sean Hannity, Joe Wilson,
Lindsay Graham, Michelle Malkin, Ann Coulter, Saint Reagan,
Dubya, G H W Bush, Barbara Bush, half of
the neighbors on my block, a large number of my coworkers,
and on and on and on and on are all racist pricks.
Open your eyes America! The talking heads on cable
and right wing hate radio are making racism acceptable
and this is going to inevitably result
in violence and death against innocent black Americans. When they
respond in-kind,
who will blame them. There are some very, very
bad times coming for our country and all non-racists Americans must
speak up now to stop the potential blood bath!!!

Racist Wilson's outburst 'carefully calculated'

Rep. Hank Johnson is standing by his comments
that Rep. Joe Wilson's "You lie!" outburst at Obama
"instigated more racist sentiment" and could
lead to a resurgence of the Ku Klux Klan.
Johnson, a Georgia Democrat, says that he doesn't
think that most of Obama's opponents are racists,
but that he believes Wilson's comments "winked
at a racist element" and that there is a small but
"racially motivated fringe" among those who disapprove
