Thank you for mentioning DU. My name there was XXXXXX, and I along with many other
long time posters were banned from the site without warning, and were not given a reason.
I have been a donating member there since 2003, and a reader long before that. Another longtime
poster there asked the administrators there why this happened in this thread:

You'll notice there was not much of an answer, a non-answer really. DU has had purges in the past,
but the December 2010 purges were really something. DU has taken a hard right turn, and has
eliminated almost all dissenting liberal, progressive Democratic voices. I believe they are doing this
in advance of the 2012 elections. The 2010 bloodbath didn't wake anybody up at DU. If they did
wake up, they were banned, or soon will be. Liberal Dems are being silenced on a "Democratic" board.
Isn't that special?
