I'd like to say I'm thru with Obama - but he knows we have no place to go.
If it wasn't for the picking of the Supreme Court, we could all walk away, but what if

to the high court - will Obama have the courage to say no to his new bosses?

of the government, yet we control everything - we tell Obama
to 'Jump' and he asks 'How high?' "
Seventy two percent wanted taxes raised on the rich, but Obama is so weak,
he can't get ANYTHING done with 3/4 of the country behind him?
Apparently Wall Street agrees that Obama has no control over anything.
When it became obvious that the Teabaggers were in charge, the market fell 500 points.
My buddy Blue told me he heard Randi Rhodes spinning this as not-a-disaster.
Randi played a clip of Rush saying, "We got played by Obama" and that, to her, is proof
that Obama won this fight - have you ever heard anything so crazy from Randi?

For months, Obama said the super-rich HAD to pay more taxes, but when it
got down to crunch time, Obama caved in again, like he's done 1,000 times before.
Why the fuck did he run for the White House if he's going to surrender up-front on EVERYTHING?

Obama is in uncharted waters - we've never seen a weaker president.

This isn't a White House that knows how to look ahead (or learn) .
Why hasn't the White House been sending a "Job-stimulus" bill
to the House at least twice a month for the Teabaggers to veto?
Doesn't matter what it cost or what it said, this House of Handjobs would veto
whatever they sent over - and they've missed that blank check alllllllll this time.
He COULD be saying next summer, "I sent 30 jobs bills to the House
because I know how much you need jobs, but John Beohner
and those Republicans vetoed ALL THIRTY of my jobs bills,
and that's why you're still out of work."
And if they smelled a trap and passed it, we'd have more stimulus for the economy.
Sending bills weekly to the House is a great idea - what didn't they think of that?
Obama tried a stimulus, most experts say it wasn't big enough to have the desired effect,
but what has Obama done since for people who need work?
Can't he SHOW the people that he's working on it?

Subject: Government by Hostage Taking
For those Americans who don't understand the debt deal it's government by hostage taking.
Congress forms a gang of 12 who are supposed to agree on a way to cut the deficit.
If the gang fails or congress doesn't pass what they recommend then the trigger is pulled and each hostage is shot.
The hostage for the Democrats is the elderly. The hostage for the Republicans is the military.
If a deal fails then wounded solders an the elderly are out on the street.
Is this any way to run a country?
Is this what America has come to?
I think Congress should have used themselves as hostage.
Why not pass a bill where if Congress doesn't cut the deficit then they lose their pay?
Or why not put their lifetime pension on the table?
Here's in California if the legislature doesn't pass a budget on time they don't get paid.
Tell Congress to hold themselves hostage. They should put their money on the table - not ours.

In one episode of "The West Wing", the president said,
"When you're President, you don't fight the battles you can win.
You fight the battles that need to be fought."
This is true. Unfortunately, the last President to understand this was Harry Truman.
He will go down in history as one of the greats. None of the others, especially those
who choose compromise over principle, will ever gain that description.
Obama's recent actions concerning the fight over the national debt has assured that he is
destined for the historical garbage bin, only one or two levels of trash above "der Monkey Furhrer".

Subject: Obsession With Compromise
After the budget debacle, when you think that he has to have learned learned something,
we are faced with another example of what buy now can only be described as a character defect.
Now the republicans are doing the same thing with the FAA - that is, if you don't do it like we want it then shut it down!!
When telegraphing his displeasure with the situation it is all "congress" this and "congress" that.
It is not "congress", it is the Republicans, asshole!!!
During the general in 2008 the Republicans were chiding him on his past as a "community organizer",
suggesting that this experience was the only leadership knowledge that he could bring to the White House.
I am loathe to realize it, but they were right!!!
That is exactly how he behaves!!!!

Laws/programs should have a four year limit.
When a Republican wins the White House, he can de-fund Social Security
and Medicare, and give a trillion dollars to the super-rich.
When a Democrat wins the White House, he can make the super-rich
pay taxes and reinstate Social Security and Medicare.
If people want Social Security and Medicare, they vote Democrat or shut the fuck up.
But with President Mouse, we get the worst of all worlds.

A judge is allowing an Army veteran who says he was imprisoned unjustly and tortured by
the U.S. military in Iraq to sue Donald Rumsfeld personally for damages.
The Obama administration has represented Rumsfeld through the Justice Department and argued
that he cannot be sued personally for official conduct. The Justice Department also argued that a
judge cannot review wartime decisions that are the constitutional responsibility of Congress and
the president. And the department said the case could disclose sensitive information and distract
from the war effort, and said the threat of liability would impede future military decisions.
But U.S. District Judge James Gwin rejected those arguments and said U.S. citizens are protected
by the Constitution at home or abroad during wartime.
I'm so old, I remember when Obama was against torture.

Subject: sorry I had to cancel...
Dear Bart,
I've subscribed to your site and radio shows for over 7 years (March of 2004 I think).
Times were better financially back then (although not necessarily great for the country).
Now, however, I've been out of work since 2008. I was a radio host, and now most
radio stations have cut back so much it looks like a career in radio is no longer an option.
So I started back to school in 2010. Even though tuition and books are all coming out of
our limited resources now, we've tried hard not to have to cancel our subscription to Bartcop
and a couple of other places. Now our roof is having to be completely replaced and we have
to come up with an extra $1000 for our deductable.
Today I cancelled our subscription to Bartcop and 3 other sites and cancelled the online game
I have been playing. Sorry to ramble about all this, but I know you are having hard times, too
and I didn't want to NOT tell you why we cancelled. The last thing I would want is for you to
get a rejection from PayPal and think "well, there goes another pissed off subscriber".
That's not the case at all.
I hope that once I graduate I can get something that pays a decent wage quickly and
re-subscribe to your site and support other truly progressive sites.
Keep hammering. We'll hopefully see you again in about 2 years.

I am in desperate need of a Google Ads expert.
You would not believe how much work goes into those "sub pages"
and my check from Google was down 10 percent for July.
How can I be working twice as hard for less money?
For a long time I got 1 click for the main page, then I figured out I could
get many more clicks by using those sub-pages, but something's not working.
I got cash money for someone who can fix my problem.
