Obama clinches nomination
Champagne corks pop at CNN, MSGOP, ABC, CBS, NBC, etc

 Link

 Excerpt:
One thing is now certain -- either Obama or McCain will replace the worst president ever.

Obama sealed his candidacy on Tuesday after months of campaigning state by state during
the U.S. primary race, finally emerging victorious from a tough battle with Hillary Clinton.

"Our primary season has finally come to an end," he told raucous supporters in St. Paul, Minn.
"I will be the Democratic nominee for the presidency of the United States of America."

There you go - we have our nominee, the war is over and the bird are singing :)

Quotes

"Senator Clinton underscored her point that one never knows
whether one's luck might take a fortuitous turn,
by citing Robert Kennedy's assassination in June 1968..."
-- William Loren Katz on    consortiumwhorenews.com   Link

It's the job of a media whore to lie to you.

Reading this lying bastard's account of Hillary's comments,  you'd think she was
cackling with glee, talking about some "fortuitous luck" that Obama might get shot.

Why can't these sons of bitches be happy with victory?
They won, but Hillary is still breathing oxygen, and that makes them angry.

Can you believe Bob Parry would stoop this low?
I'm so old, I remember when Bob Parry wouldn't publish lies.

Subject: Obama declares victory on Republican Turf

I've seen a lot of brilliant political moves in my time but what Barrack Obama did last night
was incredibly impressive. Not only did he give a visionary and inspirational speech but he
did it in the very same hall where the Republican convention is going to be held.

Now when the Republicans have their  at the same location
the news media is going to compare and contrast it with Obama's speech tonight.

Obama has stolen McCains thunder at his future convention. As a Hillary supporter
I have to say that Obama is off to a great start. Maybe he does have what it takes to win.

Hillary and Jackie Robinson
 by Paul Begala

  Link

 Excerpt:
Not only was Jackie Rosbinson one of the greatest to ever play the game, his very presence
in the game changed it forever and for the good.  So it is with Hillary. Her presence in the
presidential campaign has not only been impressive on the merits, it's been historic for what
she has had to overcome just to do her job.

* The radio clown Glenn Beck called Hillary a "stereotypical bitch" and yet
is treated as if he had something serious to contribute to CNN and ABC.

* MSNBC gave a platform to magician Penn Gillette, who said Hillary
did well in March because it was "White Bitch Month."

* Alex Castellanos told CNN that Hillary is called "a bitch"
because some people deserve to be called that.

* Chris Matthews said Hillary owed her entire career to Bill's marital mistakes.

* The WaHoPo broke the news flash that Hillary, in fact, has cleavage.

Her figure, her clothes, her hair, her voice - all of it mocked and savaged in a way unimaginable
if she were a man. She has not only endured the jeers and the sneers and the smears, she has
triumphed over them. She never answered their hate with rage. She just went on winning.

Just like Jackie.

Subject: support

I'm a former U.S. Marine, I don't drink, I don't smoke, I don't fit the profile of your
average fan (I assume) and yet I've been an avid reader of your web site since '98.

Politically speaking I really can't call myself a Democrat.  They are too spineless,
too small-picture oriented, and cannibalistic (they eat their own).

I'll drink to that.

And yet, in all likelihood I will vote straight Democratic ticket until the day I die,
not so much because I endorse the party, but because, more than anything else,
I am anti-Republican.  There are two other things I think you should know:

1.  I don't agree with everything you say.
2.  I could care less that I don't agree with everything you say.

You've been an important part of my daily life for a long time now and I thought
it was high time I put my money where my sentiment is.  Keep up the incredible
work you do and thank you for helping me stay sane in an insane world.

Subject: Bob Barr, passing for white

Hey Bart,

The other night on the local news channel, I saw one of our local conservative blowhards,
Curtis Sliwa, spout off on the GOP presidential race.  At one point he dismissed Bob Barr as
"that Jeremiah Wright look alike won't have an affect."

I'll tell you as an African American, I fell off my chair and laughed my ass off.
Just wanted to share.
 David M

Maybe that's why Barr paid to have his unborn daughter killed,
so people wouldn't ask why his baby was black?

Hillary as third party candidate?

 Link

 Excerpt:
HillaryGrassrootsCampaign.com, an organization with upwards of half-a-million supporters,
announced today it is committed to breaking ranks with the Democratic Party and supporting
Senator Hillary Clinton in the general election - regardless of her status as the party's nominee.

HillaryGrassrootsCampaign.com is not associated with the official Hillary Clinton campaign.
However, the organization says it is filled with disaffected supporters who are ready to be
"former" Democrats because of the contempt and disregard that has been shown to the
many party faithful who support Sen. Clinton's presidential candidacy.

No, no, no, no, no.
A third party run would only help McCain

My advice?
Let's party today and then help Obama get elected starting tomorrow.

Subject: Re: anti Obama

Bart,

So now, she knows she's lost, but isn't conceding.
What are you going to do?
 Mike

 Hmmmm...

 ...shoot myself in the face?

Sorry, I watched Pulp Fiction again, late last night.
That restaurant robbery scene makes my heart beat faster every time I watch it.

That might be my second favorite movie scene, right after Michael Corleone says,
"If Clamenza can find a way to plant a gun ...
(he nods - convincing himself there's no other option - movie magic at it's best )
  ...I'll kill 'em both."

 Sorry, ...back to politics.

If I had a dollar every time someone asked me, "Will you keep your word?"
I could pay my lifestyle-killing credit card payment in full this month.

What am I going to do?

 My choices are:
Tuning out and giving up - does that sound like me?
Turning Fascist whore and making tons of money - does that sound like me?
Backing our nominee and do all I can to get him elected.
McCain can not be allowed to stack the whore court with Fascist Dogs.

Besides, with Hillary out of the race,
I'm free to say good things about Obama :)

Evidence of an upside down year - many never thought they would feel more at home watching Fox.
They never thought they would agree with Pat Buchanan and Joe Scarborough or Tucker Carlson and

walked the walk and talked the talk for many years backed up with many years of volunteerism,
contributions, and anything else needed to fight for civil rights and equal rights for women - have been
deeply offended and feeling so unappreciated by some African Americans and young women and,

give up in the process because they are feeling so rejected.

I saw a reference to Big Eddie today, I would assume that to Ed Schultz?

I'm sure you know he was a longtime conservative, who hated the Clintons during Bill's term,
and in the early 2000's became a progressive.  My dad has long suspected he did this more
for money than any life altering political conversion, and sometimes on his local show he seems
to come across much more conservative than on the national show.  Just my 2 cents.

Why not enjoy your victory - and move forward?

Just when the fuck does some minister and Catholic priest

I never said he was, but what does it matter now?
You can squeal and stomp and spit OR take your victory lap.

Really... What the fuck do these two tards have to do with how Obama would run this country?
Hello.... They DO NOT speak for the man so please just fucking drop it.

Subject: Kerry and 'against the world'

It's like paranoia has set in. And now Kerry?
So your comments years back on Kerry are all wrong?
A bunker mentality, you and Hillary against the world.

I don't get your Kerry comments.
Were you reading in 2004 when I begged him to stop jerking off and fight back?

He has shrapnel in his ass and he still let them call him a Purple Heart thief.

Put another way: Name someone in our lifetime that ran a worse campaign.

See?
You're stuck.

I still enjoy your site as I'm sure many other Obama supporters do.
Would it be too much to ask for a graceful transition to the Obama ticket
without all the blood and guts? You did say you would support him right?
 Salty

I've been ready for this war to be over so I could support the Dem for months.

BUT, we might have a small problem.

I'll have no problem liking Obama.
The biggest question is, will the Obama backers stop the Hillary hate?

Do you think Andrew the Whore was kidding when he said,
"I'm not sure how it will feel if the Clintons leave the stage.
Personally speaking, I may suffer a sudden loss of purpose in life."

His only job the last 17 years has been hating the Clintons.
Hating the Clintons is what made him rich - it's how be built his fortune.
It's how everybody built their fortunes and got to be millionaires.

How much was Tweety making in 1992?
How much was Timmy making in 1992?
How much was Wolf the Whore making in 1992?
How much was Maureen the Whore making in 1992?
How much was Jonas Goldberg making in 1992?
How much was Hannity or O'Reilly of the vulgar Pigboy making in 1992?

Hating the Clintons has been their life their entire adulthood.

If YOUR SIDE can accept victory and move forward, I'm with you.

Priests make the worst liars

 Excerpt:
As for his famous performance from the Trinity pulpit, Father Pfleger has apologized for
"the words that I chose" and for "my dramatization." Pfleger told me he called the Clinton
campaign to apologize directly but had not heard back from Clinton or her representatives.

You can't do what Pfleger did and then apologize for it.
The Clintons were right not to waste a "fuck you" on this clown.

All that is well and good, but how, as a friend and passionate Obama supporter
could he do what he did, with cameras rolling?

Pfleger's short answer? He didn't think the service was being broadcast, as Trinity often does.
"They told me it was down," Pfleger said. 'Their live streaming had been down all day,
and they didn't know whether it was back up...I regret the dramatization that I was
naive enough to believe was just going to be kept among that church.'"

Clearly, he doesn't believe in God.
How can you sin like this and expect God to not find out?

It's only a sin if you get caught?
It's only a sin if the cameras are rolling?

Religious insanity amazes me every time I see it.

 Subject: crunch time

Hillary's candidacy is in the past. We don't have time to get over it.
Already, the polls are within the margin of error between Obama and McCain.
We have to saturate the blogosphere on why McCain is unfit to be President:

The Keating 5 Scandal.
Temperament
Backing of the War
Age and Health

We have to remind voters of what has happened to our country since Bush took office:

World's Largest Debtor Nation
Health and lifespan of Americans lower
Job creation anemic, not enough to keep pace with population growth.
Lost a Major City, New Orleans, to Katrina and negligence
Major attack on a US City in 9/11 and the perpetrator still at large
Do we want 4 more years of this?

In the face of all this, Hope is indeed Audacious.

Obama, Clinton and Anger to Burn

 Link

 Excerpt:
With the race coming to a close, there's plenty of anger in the air. And the elements are distinctly flammable.
As Bob Herbert wrote, "the Clinton and Obama partisans spent months fighting bitterly on the toxic terrain
of misogyny, racism and religion."    Herbert doesn't spread the blame evenly. And, as an elected Obama
delegate to the national convention, I don't either. But at this stage in the nomination process, the returns
of blame aren't merely diminishing - they're about to go over a cliff.

The anger that's churning among many Hillary Clinton supporters is deserving of respect.
For a long time, she's been hit by an inexhaustible arsenal of virulent sexism, whether from
Tucker Carlson, Rush Limbaugh or Chris Matthews.

The Clintons have taken more shit than any couple in history,
but the war's over and we've got a president to elect.

It seems that there is something left out of that equation.

On it's face these people are lumping the Clintons in with the bush clan.

Subject: moving on from Hillary

Hey Big Bart -

I'll miss your support of Hillary once they force her out of the nomination.
As you know, I will NOT be voting for Obama.  Nor McCain.  Looks like a big
write-in campaign for Hillary is in prelaunch countdown mode, I think a lot of us
Hillary supporters will go that route.

The stench of what the Repubs, the whore media, and worst of all the Democratic Party
and the Obama campaign did to them is enough to nearly make me leave the party entirely.
We really screwed the pooch this time.

Take care, Big Bart.  I really wish you'd keep plugging for Hillary regardless,
but I know you can't.  I have that luxury. Ah well...
 Dave

Dave, all along, the plan was to support our nominee and that's what I'm gonna do.
I went on the record with that statement a year ago.

Failing to vote Democrat in November is a vote for 4 more years of Bush.

Please reconsider your decision.   A Whore Court stacked with Bush-loving
psychopaths will hurt more than whatever you're feeling now.

Subject: A calm rant from an old reader

Hey- since '98 -

Thanks for that.

I guess I just feel that you are reporting a bit gleefully on Obama's weaknesses on some demographics
- at this point it just feels a bit inappropriate and a bit of a fixation that (deferent snark) you have in common
with the mainstream media.

I'm surprised it looks that way on your end.    On my end, I felt like Paul Revere, trying to warn people.
I can't see the future, but ifObama can't get 1/2 of white votes, I wanted people to know that while we
still had a chance to change.  Looks like the point is moot because he's won the nominatrion.

Practically everyone I knew supported Obama but assumed he was going to lose as of December.
It's been a rough few months, I'm glad he won, but I really don't think I would feel constructive
dwelling on Clinton's weaknesses if she was our nominee.  (Personally, the Clintons have always been
the acceptable centrist national candidates that can win.  Obama's no saint, just a less centrist candidate
who also can win. Just my take.)

Decades of the same anti-liberal corporate bias has made it impossible for me to join with either half of
the chorus: "People Like [GOP nominee]-and people Just Don't Like [Dem nominee].
Balanced story on the election coming up!"      The '92 and '96 elections were anomalies.

I strongly disagree.
In '92 and '96 we had a smart fighter in our corner.
Let's hope Obama remembers what Gore and Kerry forgot.

By November, McCain will be Everybody's-Favorite-Grandpa and Obama will be
the Guy-that-People-Used-to-Like.    They would have done it to Clinton too.

I strongly disagree.
They would've tried, for sure.

McCain has tons of problems with huge parts of our electorate but everybody's
obsessed with a) Obama's problems and b) media bias in his favor.  It's weird.

Subject: last shots at Obama

BC,

For months the Obamanation has been screaming that the nomination would be
"stolen" by super delegates that had the power to overturn the will of the voters.

Looks like that is exactly what happened.
 Dennis in DC

Bart, that Polygamy compound in Texas reminded me of an old joke:

What's the difference between David Koresh and Obama?

Obama is still smoking - ha ha.
 Lukey

Dude, we'll have no more of that.

I had to re-write most of today's page - an anger-ectomy, if you will,
and from this day forward we're all about getting Our Man Obama elected.

The alternative is more than most of us could bear.

Note: If I emailed you yesterday and said your e-mail or toon would run today and it hasn't,
it's because last night the big merge happened and we're moving forward.

Subject: thanks again, Bart, for the sanity...

Although it looks like our gal Hillary is ready to concede and punt for the VP spot,
I want to thank you (again) for all you do for the voice of sanity in this political world.

I can always count on you to tell it like it is, and call out the libs
who are bound and determined to screw up this election.

Like you, I will vote Obama come November, no matter who runs as his VP,
but I will let no one rewrite history for me.

For all you do, a shot of Chinaco to you!

Morna, you know I agree, but starting today I'm working to elect Obama.

We can't survive 4 years of BFEE insanity.

Iraq pumped 3.5M  barrels daily before Bush invaded
and then they got their 2003 Halliburton upgrade

Bush is stealing $220,000,000 every day.

No wonder they were so eager to start a war,

It's the biggest theft in Earth's history.

Exxon made $10B
$11.66 billion in profit in 90 days

Gouging us to the tune ofHOT
$129 million profit per day

Link

Gouging us to the tune of
$1,300 profit per second
because Bush started a fake war

...and what did it cost America,
besides $3 trillion of debt for your kids?

Some people celebrate Bush's bloody oil war...

Some don't.
x 4,085....4,090

We lost another 5 soldiers since last issue.

We now have 4,090 dead soldiers.

Hey guys, we'd like to bring you home,
but Bush is working on his legacy

Remember...
Exxon makes $108M$128M every day

That's why Bush
raped Iraq and killed Saddam!

How do we know for sure?
Iraq's oil wells have NO METERS!

 $200M-400M a day goes missing!

Where's that money going?

Bush has killed more Americans than Osama.

Subject: Obama

As you can probably guess, I am a democrat.

I am now stuck between voting for the republican, with whom I disagree, or a Muslim
indoctrinated racist charlatan circular logic spouting mouthpiece for Chicago slumlords
who I absolutely wouldn't trust on foreign policy or even about as far as I can throw him
on most other things that are both democratic and American ideals.
 I, Pariah

Dude, that was yesterday.
Didn't you get the memo?  The war is over!

Personally, this is the best I've felt since Iowa.
Remember in Casino when they stuck that guy's head in the steel vise
and Joe Pesci turned the wheel tighter and tighter on him?

That's been me for the last six months.
...and don't even ask about my empty wallet.

I've never felt so good after losing an election. It's a LOT easier to
watch the Obama celebration than some Fascist bastard celebration.

I feel like I've been in jail for 6 months, and today I'm free again.

Not only that, but I'm off the hook.  If Hillary had won, the site would be doomed
because I would be held responsible for every Hillary mistake, every broken promise
and every perceived slight that anyone could imagine but now, as they say in legal circles,
I'm "held harmless" for whatever bad news happens - and that's a great feeling.

All that's left is making a list of the people we don't forgive.

 Got any suggestions?

The list will be a lot shorter than you'd think.
Scummy bastards like Sullivan, Matthews, Dowd and Russert don'e make the list
because they've always been scummy bastards - who expected them to change?

And a "blow me" in advance for anyone who can't forgive me.

Nobody was more fair to the other side than I was.

The anti-Hillary sites got rich and the anti-Obama sites doubled in size,
but the Okie idiot who tried to play fair lost readers and subscribers.

But I'm out of jail, the sun is shining, and if Obama doesn't go wind-surfing,
if he doesn't put on a goddamn goofy condom suit, we'll win in November, too.

So let's roll one, pour a shot of Chinaco and celebrate because tomorrow
we have to get back to work and kick Bush's third bloody term in the ass.

I'm inviting all those who left in anger to return with a smile.

Even Jerry McDaniel :)

Last thing

For months, Obama fans screamed "It's over," at me when clearly it wasn't.
But now he's crossed the finish line so it would be illogical to ignore that.

I lost a lot of friends and subscribers a for having loyalty to the Clintons.
Now I could lose a lot more friends and subscribers for keeping my word
to support the Democratic nominee, whoever it was, once we had one.

If you think it's wrong to punish someone for being loyal
if you think it's wrong to punish someone for being logical,
if you think it's wrong to punish someone for keeping his word,
please consider subscribing or giving a one-time donattion.

If I lose the Obama people and the Clinton people, there's no more  bartcop.com
