Obama's other crazed clergyman
He doesn't like white people named Hillary

 Link

 Excerpt:
Obama said Thursday that he was "deeply disappointed" by a supporter's fiery anti-Hillary
sermon at Obama's church that mocked white people in general, Hillary in particular.

Is it foolish to "declare war" on white people before he wins the nomination?

The Rev. Michael Pfleger, a Chicago activist, also apologized for last Sunday's sermon at Obama's church,
in which he said Clinton's eyes welled with tears before the New Hampshire primary because she felt
"entitled" to the Democratic nomination and because "there's a black man stealing my show."

Another  mind reader for Obama - why are we surprised?

 White entitlement video

"She just always thought that, 'This is mine. I'm Bill's wife. I'm white.' ... And then, out of nowhere, came
'Hey, I'm Barack Obama." And she said, 'Oh damn, where did you come from? I'm white. I'm entitled.
There's a black man stealing my show,'" Pfleger, who is white, said at Obama's Trinity United Church.

Hmmm, sounds like a clear-cut case of racism to me.

He then went on to parody Clinton, sobbing and wiping his face with a handkerchief.
"She wasn't the only one crying," he said. "There was a whole lot of white people crying."

The Clintons have always been blessed by enemies that made them look good by comparison.
Watching this video, I predict white people with jobs are going to get a little scared.

Whatever problems Obama had getting the white vote last week,
he's got a bigger problem with the white vote this week.

Quotes

"When the president commuted Libby's prison sentence and protected him from serving
even one day behind bars, I was disappointed. This kind of special treatment undermines
our system of justice...President Bush sent an unfortunate message to America and the world
- that in the United States criminal behavior on behalf of a political cause may go unpunished
if those who support that cause have the power to make it happen."  --
      -- Scotty the Underbear    Link

Between Hillary slurs last week, I heard a sliver of the Old Randi Rhodes pop out.
"McClelland didn't mind that Bush was lying to the American people.
He also didn't mind personally lying to us to protect his guilty president.
But the minute HE got lied to, he was greatly offended."

Too bad we lost that Randi Rhodes.

Subject: everybody hates Bush

Bart, I teach English at a junior high in South Bend, IN.

We had our 8th grade recognition ceremony this morning.
One of the Awards is the President's Achievement Award.
Our principal read a letter that goes with the award and then stated,
"signed by president George Bush", he was met by open boos.

Boos from parents who might be receiving the award.
W hate is intense, even in the heartland.

Subject: Holy Cow

Hi bart, I have been reading your pages for a long time.  Imagine my surprise to see a picture
of my great-grandaughter Audrey kissing that pig in the Chicago Zoo in your last issue.

Her dad snapped this picture when she ran over to the fence and gave the piggy a great big kiss.
I hope she never marries a republican because most everybody in my family are democrats.
There are few repubs ...and we simply tolerate them.

I am 85 years old and I have always kept up with your point of view.

Look at you, at 85, throwing your political opinions around on the Internet!

No doubt, America would be a better place with more people like you.

Carville takes the high road
He thinks Obama "will" win in November

 Link

 Excerpt:
James Carville diverged from the Hillary campaign message on several key "electability" questions,
saying that he thinks Obama "will" win the general election.

Carville, surprisingly, also seemed to downplay Obama's problems with non-college whites --
a cornerstone of Hillary's electability claim -- saying that if Obama gets the same level of
non-college whites that John Kerry did in 2004, he "will" win the general.

Asked if he thought Obama would beat McCain, Carville said: "I think he will. I think Democrats
will win in November...There's a crushing desire for change in this country. No one has seen a party
or brand held in such low esteem" than the Republicans.

Carville's repeated suggestions that Obama "will" beat McCain contrast with the core Hillary
message -- repeated frequently by Hillary advisers -- that Obama merely "can" win a general
election, while Hillary "will" win it. Carville's comments also suggest that with the fall contest
looming, it's becoming tougher for prominent Hillary backers to sustain any argument that
doesn't show full confidence in Obama's chances against McCain.

Why can't they be gracious in victory?

Carville might be floating a trial baloon about reconciliation and this writer Greg Sargent
seems to want to say, "We told you so, we told you so," more than he wants to win.

And that last paragraph of Sargent's is horseshit, too.
Instead of welcoming Carville to their side, they'd rather crow about their "get,"
which again tells me they want to take Hillary down more than they want to win.

But he is right about one thing - there's a difference between "can win" and "will win."
When I play pool with Rude Rich, he "can" win, sure - but he doesn't.

I need your help

Going thru some old toons, I found this.
I named this toon "Katrina Monkey.jpg"

That tells me this is Der Monkey coming to "save" New Orleans.
...with his "I Salute the troops" dog, Barney.

Look at the expression on poor Barney's face.
"This sack of shit owns me and I can't escape."

But can anybody verify that the top picture
is Bush showing up in New Orleans for Katrina?

If so, *I* could win this next election drunk.

All you have to do is show this and ask:

"When it's life and death, do you want
a Democrat or a Republican in charge?"

Jimmy Buffet is a lucky guy

 Link

 Excerpt:
Harrah's said it planned to open a Margaritaville Casino in Biloxi, Miss, with Jimmy Buffett,
which it said would be the largest development in Mississippi since Katrina.

Work on the $704 million project is expected to begin this summer.
The site formerly was occupied by Grand Casino and Casino Magic.

Buffett, known for "Margaritaville" and "Cheeseburger in Paradise," said he grew up
on the Gulf Coast and was a Katrina survivor himself.

"One of the essential elements of life along the Gulf Coast is the Creole belief that hard work
and good fun go hand in hand," Buffett said in a statement. "So, with that in mind I say,
'Let's get to work and let's let the good times roll again."'

Harrah's said the project could cost more than $1 billion.

"It was one of the silver linings in a pretty big cloud," said Harrah's CFO Charles Atwood.

"We now have 80 contiguous acres on the water," Harrah CEO Gary Loveman told The Whore AP.
"There's a tremendous footprint that we can put stuff on. That could include more hotels, a condo,
further retail or a theater."

All I know about Jimmy Buffet is he's almost as rich as Warren Buffet,
which on the surface, would seem to one again disprove the existence of Gad.

Knowing nothing about Jimmy, I'd guess he's a Cuervo man - am I right?
Another wild guess - closet Republican?

You gotta give it up for a man who made that much money with that little talent,
but could they be a little less giddy about the "opportunities" that Katrina provided?

And where was the federal government?

"Lookie here, Pickles, I'm Ted Nugent!   Yee Haw!!"

Subject: Zero Votes = Zero Delegates

I strongly object to the DNC's decision to undercut its own rules in seating Michigan's delegates
without reflecting the votes of the people of Michigan. The Committee awarded to Senator Obama
not only the delegates won by Uncommitted, but four of the delegates won by Senator Clinton.

This decision violates the bedrock principles of our democracy and our Party.
I urge the Michigan delegation to challenge this decision before the Credentials Committee and
appeal for a fair allocation of Michigan's delegates that actually reflect the votes as they were cast.

Obama himself chose to remove his name from the Michigan ballot to curry favor with Iowa voters.
Iowa always wants to be first even though they only have 7 electoral votes.

Obama received ZERO votes in Michigan and is therefore entitled to ZERO delegates.
 Jim in Rochester, Michigan

Plus, didn't that "half a vote" stuff remind you of slavery?
Didn't slaves get 3/5 of a vote - but the women didn't get anything?

My, how little has changed...

Press Whores Admit Guilt
Gee, we had no idea the whore press had sold out

 Link

 Excerpt:
In his book, Scott McClellan said the national news media neglected their watchdog role
in the run-up to the invasion of Iraq, calling reporters "complicit enablers" of the Bush's push for war.

Surprisingly, some prominent journalists have agreed.

Katie Couric said on Wednesday that she had felt pressure from government officials and
corporate executives to cast the war in a positive light.

Couric said the lack of skepticism shown by journalists about the Bush's case for war amounted to
"one of the most embarrassing chapters in American journalism." She also said she sensed pressure
from "the corporations who own where we work and from the government itself to really squash
any kind of dissent or any kind of questioning of it." At the time, Couric whored for NBC.

Another broadcast journalist also weighed in. Jessica Yellin, who worked for MSNBC in 2003
and now reports for CNN, said on Wednesday that journalists had been "under enormous pressure
from corporate executives, frankly, to make sure that this was a war presented in a way that was
consistent with the patriotic fever in the nation."

So - the administration's own mouthpiece says the media lapdogs were too compliant.

This comes as a shock to everyone but readers of  bartcop.com  and Helen Thomas.

Weather & home values

A house that costs $700K in California costs $80K in Tulsa.

 Why?
Because nobody wants to live in Tulsa.

 Why?
Because the weather here is unlike the weather anywhere else.

Sunday morning we woke up to another monster hail storm.
The storm that hit us - swear to Koresh - was described as having
"softball sized hail" and winds gusts of up to 85 MPH with mega-lightning and
"microbursts" which means God picks up a lake, holds it over Tulsa, and drops it.

 I think this is a life-sized softball.

Can you imagine 1,000 of these, made of ice, hitting your house and car?

Infighting threatens Democratic Party
 by Gene Lyons

 Link

 Excerpt:
The political tragedy of 2008 would be if, in making history, the Democratic party tore itself apart.
Far more than the White House could be lost in November. Equally clear is that many in our news
media would enjoy helping that breakup happen. With incomes rivaling those of reserve infielders
and egos inflated by TV celebrity, the imperial Washington press deem themselves America's ruling class.
Many no longer deny taking sides; at times, they're even boastful.

In other words, the whore media decided they liked Obama, so every word out of Bill and Hillary's
mouth became a vicious racial slur against their man and they punished them for it.  Why did we let
the press pick the candidate that would run against "the honest, straight-talking war hero?"

Sean Wilentz says it's likely that Clinton will win the popular vote come Tuesday.

It's obvious three things must happen for us to win:
We need the Obama supporters
We need the Clinton supporters
We need the Florida and Michigan votes to count.

Anyone who says "Rules are rules" is helping McCain into power.

If Clinton gets shut out, we'll probably lose.
If the super-dels vote for the popular vote winner, Hillary, we lose Obama's people.

It would seem the only way to win is an Obama/Clinton team.
She appears willing to do that, but Obama is not.

Will Obama's ego cost us the White House?

Subject: Thanks

Hi Bart,

Thanks for helping to keep me sane!  I watched the entire debacle yesterday and I
am ashamed and disgusted with the DNC!  Taking votes from one candidate and
giving it to another whose name was not on the ballot is just plain fraud.

I began this race as an Obama supporter only to have my mind changed after the SC primary.
I knew at that time that the only way Obama was going to win the nomination and peel votes
away from Hillary was to make the Clinton's out as racists.  With the help of the media,
that is exactly what they did.  Of course, you will never hear this voiced but it is true.

I no longer watch MSNBC at all.
I have found that Fox News is more informative than all of the other major networks.

Can't believe I just said that because up until last week I have never watched the Fox network!
I have written to all the major networks telling them that they have lost a viewer and why.
As soon as they have secured the nomination for B.O., they will start trashing him
and building up their "real" candidate, John McCain.

So, thanks, Bart and keep on hammerin'!

TP.R., thanks for that.
That line I put in bold is featured in a segment of BCR 141.

Subject: Hillary's problem

Didn't you know that it's still not okay to be a woman?
A woman's place is in the kitchen, in the laundry room, or in the bedroom.

Women aren't people; they should be clubbed over the head for any coherent,
intelligent thought.  Double for any sign of persistence and drive towards a goal.
Duh, Bart, duh.

That's why Hillary doesn't get fair and unbiased coverage throughout the whore media.
She's portraying a powerful personality, typically seen in males, and it scares people because
women can finally come out of the shadows and become equal to men, if not soar above them.

But, because I AM a Democrat.  I will be voting so in November.

"I have not had an opportunity to read McClellan's book, but I read a quote from it
in which McClellan says 'Iraq was a series of strategic blunders.' If this is his position,
he and I couldn't be further apart. A blunder is a mistake. Mistakes are by definition
innocent and never criminal. In my book I present incontrovertible evidence that Bush
knowingly and deliberately took this nation to war on a lie, under false pretenses, and is
therefore guilty of murder. So my position is diametrically opposed to Mr. McClellan's."

Bush is stealing $220,000,000 every day.

No wonder they were so eager to start a war,

It's the biggest theft in Earth's history.

Exxon made $10B
$11.66 billion in profit in 90 days

Gouging us to the tune ofHOT
$129 million profit per day

Gouging us to the tune of
$1,300 profit per second
because Bush started a fake war

...and what did it cost America,
besides $3 trillion of debt for your kids?

Some people celebrate Bush's bloody oil war...

Some don't.
x 4,084....4,085

We lost another  soldier since last issue.

We now have 4,085 dead soldiers.

Hey guys, we'd like to bring you home,
but Bush is busy with real trouble here...

Remember...
Exxon makes $108M$128M every day

That's why Bush
raped Iraq and killed Saddam!

How do we know for sure?
Iraq's oil wells have NO METERS!

 $200M-400M a day goes missing!

Where's that money going?

Bush has killed more Americans than Osama.

Hey Bart,

I had a little money at the end of the month, and couldn't think of
a better place to spend it than the tequila treehouse.

I've been reading since 1999, so $50 for
9 years of entertainment is more than enough.

...thanks :)

Thanks for swinging that hammer and for standing by Hilary!
 Carl
