"I don't like the idea of Senator Obama giving his Denver acceptance speech in front of
75,000 wildly cheering people. That is not the way we do things in political parties in the
United States of America. We have a contained number of people in an arena - 75,000
people at an outdoor sports palace, well, that's something the Fuehrer would have done."
-- Game Show host-loser Ben Stein, comparing Obama to Hitler,    Link

 Screw Ben Stein, lying loser.

Just because McCain can't draw enough people to block the cereal aisle at f-ing Krogers
is no reason to make the wild-ass claim that Obama draws big crowds - just like Hitler.

And Bush holds the modern Western Hemisphere record for most murders,
so why aren't we comparing Fascist, murdering apples to Fascist, murdering apples?

BTW, wasn't Benny the Rat a member of the Hitler Youth when he was 14?

McCain's assertions on the Iraq surge
  by Joe Conason

So insistently do the media's mainstream and conservative commentators repeat the Iraq success meme
-- echoing the mantra of  Bush and  McCain -- that to probe its premises and assumptions is not permitted.
To question the success of last year's troop escalation supposedly implies a negative assessment of the
performance of American soldiers and Marines and may even imperil their morale, creating a frame that
stifles dissent. But now McCain himself has inadvertently reopened real debate on the subject by claiming
that strategies and tactics used to quell the Sunni insurgency long before the surge troops arrived in Iraq
should nevertheless be attributed to the surge. Indeed, the surge is so brilliant and so powerful, according
to McCain, that it makes things happen in the past as well as in the present and the future.

Joe has a good point.
Whenever Obama says anything about Iraq, McWhore says, "I disagree - I think the troops
are the bravest in the world," implying that Obama called them "a bunch of cowards."

Savage, GOP vs. Science
They took an oath to support stupidity and ignorance

The Junior Vulgar Pigboy said:
Now, the illness du jour is autism. You know what autism is? I'll tell you what autism is.
In 99 percent of the cases, it's a brat who hasn't been told to cut the act out. That's what
autism is.... What do you mean they scream and they're silent? They don't have a father
around to tell them, 'Don't act like a moron. You'll get nowhere in life. Stop acting like a putz.
Straighten up. Act like a man.  Stop with the sensitivity training. You're turning your son
into a girl, and you're turning your nation into a nation of losers and beaten men.

In America, you get paid millions to preach hatred to the stupidest 1/3 of us.
Years ago the Senior Vulgar Pigboy went thru this - he said, "Most of those Autism kids?
All they need is a good slap upside the head and they'll straighten out real quick."

Science is on OUR side, but we're so stupid, we can't figure a make to make that pay off.
We also have the TRUTH on our side, but we can't use that to our advantage - because we're stupid.

They get away with their lies because science, academia and the Democrats refuse to fight back.
"The Grand Canyon is 16 million years old, but some say it's just 2,000 years - you decide!"

No, YOU should be educating the stupid,
not confirming their self-serving lies with anti-science horseshit.

NASA and NOAA say the globe is warming, but Cheney says it's not so the scientists say,
"That's OK, I love my cushy job with Exxon. Whatever Cheney says is OK by me"

I'll tell you again - our side just has no appetite for victory.
Whatever "facts"  the MSM whores want to preach, that's OK with us.

We're Democrats.

"We follow orders - that's our job!"

Clashing Quotes

"I would rather speak at a rally or a political gathering any place outside of the country

-- John McCain, criticizing Barack Obama for making a speech in a foreign country,      Link

"A month ago, McCain traveled to Canada and gave a speech at the Economic Club of Toronto.
Apparently, John McCain doesn't remember that.  Because today he's criticizing Obama
for giving a campaign speech in another country."

Subject: "on the record" question about bloggers and blogging

Hi Bart!
You are very familiar with the blogging world, so I have an "on the record" question to ask you.
Bill O'Reilly says that bloggers get $ from George Soros to be against Bush.

Do you get any money from George Soros or do you know of any blogger who does?

After nearly 13 years doing this, I've never even gotten an "Attaboy" from Soros.

Bill O'Reilly says that amateur journalists online should check things out before printing them

ha ha
A lying boner from FOX Whore News said that?

...and they should check out facts presented onine and in broadcasts.  He was suggesting that folks
check out outrageous facts such as the ones in Kitty Kelly's book "The Family" before believing them.
I have actually followed his advice and gone to UCLA to see a copy (on microfilm) of one particular
newspaper from July 31, 1941.  It was just as Kitty Kelly said it would be.
I think I called O'Reilly's bluff on that one.

OK, I'll do  what he says, again, and try to verify one of his "facts."

Please let me know (you don't even have to name it) if you know of any blogger
who gets any money (one time shot or recurring infusions of funds) from George Soros.
(FYI, I don't get any money from George Soros)

I don't know of any blogger who gets money from Soros.
I heard a rumor that Arianna got $7M to start her gossip rag.
I wonder if that money came from Leftys or Righties?

If I can not find any corroboration of O'Reilly's "fact,"
by his own standards, I will have to give him a credibility demotion.

How can someone with O'Reilly's credibility get a demotion?

Thank you for your time and attention to this matter
Yours Truly
Bob Patterson columnist for Smirking Chimp

I'm always surprised at how much the Right supports their bloggers
while the Left is forced to scrape by on whatever pennies readers send in.

Kos makes a mountain of gold each and every day, and a few other sites do well,
but most of us wonder how different things would be if the Left was funded like the Right.

As I've said for years, Democrats will accept victory if it's offered to them - but work for it?
Plant victory seeds?  Water those seeds?  Nuture those seeds?

That's always been the difference between us - they WANT to win
and they're willing to do whatever it takes to meet that goal.

It's very clear from all the movies. So you should learn from this, and understand

How to Visit Vegas and Not Die
 by Mark Morford

I hit the fabulous Las Vegas Strip recently and lo, it was a sharp and wonderful lesson,
a reminder, a slap in the heart of all you think might be changing, shifting, improving.

I've been to Vegas plenty of times but it's always an astounding thing, the scale, the overkill,
the energy usage, the sheer impudence of the place, excessive waste like a mantra, fresh water
sucked into the void of the scalding desert, air conditioning blasting 365 days a year and
gargantuan oversized everything as a million European and Asian tourists are currently flocking
to the place to indulge in distinctly American fantasies of greed and consumption, all thanks to
our pathetically weak dollar and wicked extant ethos of more more more.

I love Vegas. For about 36 hours. Then I want to curl up and die.

People want to yell at Vegas. I guess it makes them feel better,
like complaining about the weather or screaming "Slut!" at Paris Hilton.

And then there's always, "I didn't want to go to Vegas - but my job forced me to go."

Yeah, we ALL got jobs that force us to go to Vegas - OK.  Yeah.  Right.   Sure, babe.

Whoring Pays Off for McSame
He's lousy in cash after flip-flopping on offshore drilling

"Campaign contributions from oil bastards to Sen. John McSellout rose dramatically in June,
after Grandpa made a high-profile flip-flop and reversed his opposition to the federal ban on
offshore drilling," the WaHoPo reports.

"Oil and gas industry executives and employees donated $1.1 million to McCain last month
-- three-quarters of which came after his June 16 speech calling for an end to the ban --
compared with $116,000 in March, $283,000 in April and $208,000 in May."

Subject: Obama

I was in a meeting yesterday and the conversation swung over to politics with one person saying
how Obama was going to tax Social Security income, and another guy just going after him.

I kept out of it because I didn't know the details on the SS front, but I was surprised at the negativity.
Do they really think their lives will be rosier under John McCain and the GOP?

Because I know some of these people and their lives and fortunes suck.
I'm not sure how to help them connect the dots.

Tab, people are super-stupid and need to be educated.
Bush says, "I want you to keep more of your money," and then you lose your job,
your car and your home - but Bush keeps smiling and people believe his crooked ass.

Bush and McCain say YOU can live better if their super-rich friends get a $500,000 gift from Uncle Sam.
Fuck that - give that same $500,000 to 3,000 families and let them buy gasoline with it.

If only we could get the Democrats to list the facts - but they refuse.

Batman and Dubya are Twins
by Andrew Klavan - I guess Jonah Goldberg was busy?

There seems to me no question that the Batman film 'The Dark Knight' is at some level a
paean of praise to the fortitude and moral courage that has been shown by George W. Bush
in this time of terror and war.

"No question" the film is praise of Bush?
I guess when you make shit up, it pays to make shit up BIG.

Like W, Batman is vilified and despised for confronting terrorists in the only terms they understand.
Like W, Batman sometimes has to push the boundaries of civil rights to deal with an emergency,
certain that he will re-establish those boundaries when the emergency is past.

Whoa - the horseshit is almost coming too fast to beat back.

First, Batman can speak, think and talk - so Bush is certainly no Batman.

Second, you say it's a good thing that Bush "pushed the boundaries" on our Constitution?
Will you say the same thing when your smug ass is at Gitmo and they won't tell you why?

Third, you say Bush will give us our Constitution back "when the emergency is past?"
(Did you mean "passed?")
Bush has a plan to feed, house and clothe every dirt-poor, no hope soul on the planet?

And we'll get our Constitution back after Bush declares "Mission Accomplished" on that?

Subject: Comcast and NEWSMAX

I'm a COMCAST subscriber.
This weekend I had a pop-up splash onto my home page, with one of those great NEWSMAX polls,
asking my opinion of Obama's continued failure as a candidate (I'm sure most folks who have pulled on
the hip boots and wandered to NEWSMAX have encountered them).
When I called COMCAST to complain, I was directed to, which responded back
with a list of technical abuses to be addressed, but nothing regarding content.   I e-mailed anyway,
stating that if this crap didn't stop, I would change broadband providers.
Any idea how I can get this issue pushed forward?
I'm also wondering if any other Bartites have encountered this malignant pop-up.
Keep up the good fight.
 Bill from Napa, Ca.

Sometimes you can't help but do business with them, but there's no law - yet - that says
you gotta get your internet and your news from those who give money to those Bush bastards.

If Bush & Cheney were found guilty of wear crimes...

 ...what should their punishment be?

Can we really put a former president and VP in prison?
Would they be kept in cages in America?     In Iraq?    In the Hague?

In times passed, public scorn and ridicule might've been punishment anough,  but those bastards
own the networks and newspapers and talk radio and they'll always praise Der Fuhrer Bush.

You watch, in the 20-teens, Bush will be the "great war hero who saved America."
FOX News will run "Bush was the Greatest" documentaries every day of the week.

His birthday will be a national holiday and they'll name shit after him - and it's all because
they own the media and the Democrats are too sacless to fight back - even a little bit.

The Bush bastards will all die unpunished, from old age with their stolen trillions intact.

Sex Claims Hit Edwards

Reporters from the National Enquirer confronted Edwards at 2.40am on Tuesday in the corridors
of the Beverly Hilton, as he was leaving the bedroom of Rielle Hunter, a divorcee whom he was
rumoured to have made pregnant last year.

Two journalists and a photographer chased Edwards around the building for several minutes.
He stayed in the men's lavatory for a quarter of an hour, before being escorted from the premises by security staff.

The incident was reported in lurid detail by The Enquirer, and followed up in dozens of America's
influential political blogs and news websites, which claimed that Edwards and Ms Hunter were filmed
entering the hotel room at 9.30pm.

If Edwards was caught at this hotel in the middle of the night without a good excuse,
and it would appear that this has happened, I don't think he'll be on Obama's short list for VP.

F-ing men and their inability to control themselves...

I feel sorry for Elizabeth.

Subject: Bush economics - back where we started from:

Even Bush's father had a 60% gain.  Clinton had an almost 400% run.    Bush: zero.

Many Americans (and half the Democrats) decided a 400% gain was no big deal.
Many Democrats see the Clinton years as "dark years" because he had a girlfriend - seriously.
Peace and prosperity was over-rated, they said..

Note that over most of his term, it was below the Clinton peak,
and aside from a 20% run in 2007, we've stayed below the Clinton peak.

I don't know how far back you'd have to go to find a President who, after 8 years,
could not budge the market at all. You could say Nixon or Hoover, but neither of them got 8 years.
Another way he is the worst president ever. In business too, the supposed Republican strong suit.

If the Democrats would just tell the idiot voters that tax cuts for the super-rich don't work,
they could pick up a few million votes - but they'd have to actually open their mouths and talk
so I don't see that happening in the near future.

Clinton showed the Democrats how to win and how to manage the economy,
but the Democrats lost the ability to learn - they can't even mimic like a chimp does.

How and why did the Democrats turn into such cowards?
Why are they so afraid to simply list the facts?

Since oil sells for $140 or more per barrel,
Bush is stealing $840,000,000 every day.

No wonder they were so eager to start a war,

4,125 brave men and women are gone.

4,125 families have been destroyed
