What's wrong with America?

 Link

 Excerpt:
Have you read the best-selling book from a few years ago, What's the Matter with Kansas?

It's an analysis of one of the of the poorer states, Kansas, and its continually voting for politicians
who back corporations and the wealthy instead of the interests of the majority of its own citizens.
Thomas Frank marvels that his state's farmers and wage-earners dig their own economic graves
at the ballot box year after year, riled up by hot-button social issues that the politicians they elect
have little power to change.

Sure, why vote yourself a big raise when you can vote against gay marriage, instead?

Think about it.  In 1972, 1984, 1988, and 2004, wage-earners, salaried middle-class, and small
businesspeople throughout the country joined with Kansans in digging their own economic graves.
They also were riled up by hot-button social issues and worried about bogeymen manufactured by
the so-called Republicans to scare the electorate into voting for them as their only possible protectors.
(Does that seem similar to what John McCain and his handlers are doing now?)

Democrats don't belive in education.
Ignorance is what makes stupid people vote to pay the super-rich more money.
This will continue until the ignorant are told that they don't have to enpower the super-rich.

"Are you complaing again bart?  Why are you rockin the boat?
We're all rich - so we don't see a reason to change anything."

Quotes

"The Democratic Party must be feeling very nervous when they are out to placate
supporters of Hillary.  I guess they have finally come to the conclusion that hope
is not enough to win the election - unity must also be part of the equation."
       -- Elena Towers,    Link

Elena seems to think Obama can win without the half of the party that wanted Hillary.
To this day, beating Hillary seems more important to them than winning the White House.

Maybe they need a giant sign at Obama HQ that says, "It's the White House, stupid."

Subject: WPE song

Bart, here's a song that might interest you.  It's called "Worst President Ever" by Jack Hardy.
It credits the bumper sticker, though not you specifically.

Stuck in traffic at stop and go speed I like to entertain myself
With all of the bumper stickers I can read, humor's hidden wealth
There's "nuke the gay whales" and "whirled peas" but by far the one most clever
Gave no name, laid no blame, just said THE WORST PRESIDENT EVER

How We Can Still Blow It
 by Michael Moore

 Link

 Excerpt:
Keep saying nice things about McCain.
Like how he's been "good on global warming" and campaign finance. Keep reminding a country at war
that he and he alone is a war hero. Not to mention an all-round good guy. Say that enough and what happens?
The same thing that happens when you repeat over and over, "Apply directly to the forehead" - people start to
believe it! You've sold them on the idea that McCain isn't a bad egg, and they do not hear the rest of what you
have to say: "But McCain is four more years of  Bush." If you keep saying he used to be a "maverick",  our
less-attention-span citizens hear only the "maverick" part, not the past tense verb included in that sentence.

Democrats always praise their Republican opponents - because they want to be fair.

Springtime for Hitler Bush

 Link

 Excerpt:
You may recall that Bush promised, among other things, to change the tone in Washington.
He made good on that promise: the tone has certainly changed.

As far as I know, in the past it wasn't considered appropriate for the president to declare that
members of the opposition party weren't interested in the nation's security. And it certainly wasn't
usual to compare anyone who wants to tax the rich -- or even anyone who estimates the share of
last year's tax cut that went to the wealthy -- to Adolf Hitler.

O.K., maybe we should discount remarks by Phil Gramm. When Gramm declared that a proposal
to impose a one-time capital gains levy on people who renounce U.S. citizenship in order to avoid
paying taxes was ''right out of Nazi Germany,'' even the ranking Republican on the Senate Finance
Committee, Charles Grassley, objected to the comparison.

Why Obama Will Win

 Link

 Excerpt:
For ratings, America's whore media are desperately trying to make things seem tight.

» Most voters don't know that McCain is anti-abortion. They'll find out soon enough.

» Many seniors think McCain is too old to be president. They ought to know.

» McCain admits he doesn't know how to use a computer.

» People blame foreclosures and high gas prices on Republicans.

» Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki agreed with Obama on an Iraqi timetable.

» Obama's speeches are the best we've heard in 40 years.

"Kerry and Gore paid a high price for being intellectual pretty-boys who didn't show

now they need to know that he can be an asshole too."

Is he saying McCain is less of a racist than Hillary?

 Does anyone agree with that?

Sugarland founder files $1.5M lawsuit
This wouldn't happen if I was their manager

 Link

 Excerpt:
A founder of the country band Sugarland is suing the two current members for $1.5 million.

Kristen Hall clami s she was to get a cut of the group's profits even after she left in 2005.
Hall, who founded the band in 2002, claims she has an agreement with star Jennifer Nettles
and the luckiest man currently in show business to equally share profits and losses.
Hall says she has been excluded from the group's profits since she left.

Sugarland's album, "Love on the Inside," is No. 1 on Billboard.

Musician, please.
What stupidity led to this lawsuit?

If they have a contract - PAY the MONEY!
Why be seen as the lucky bastards who made it to the top by shafting your partners?
And what's $1.5M to the best selling group in America?

It's like Anna Nicole.
She blew the old goat for a year or two and the son didn't want to
give up 1/100th of Dad's fortune to make her go away.

Everything's like a poker hand.
Sometimes, folding is the smart move - but so few people get that.

Why Oil Prices are Coming Down

Gee, could it be to help Grandpa get elected?

If we fall for it, and elect that Bush bastard, gas will go to $6 by Inauguration Day.

And why have they mostly stopped fighting in Iraq?
Could it be for the same reason?

And why has Al Qaeda chosen to remain dormant?
Why have they chosen not to attack us all these years?
They could attack if they wanted, but they choose not to - why?

Bush keeps saying "I have no magic wand," but funny
how things magically go his way just before an election.

Why is Obama on a Hawaiian vacation?

It's less than 90 days till the election - and he's on a break?

Come November, I'd prefer not to hear Obama say,
"We were so close, but we came up short."

Jesse Ventura Quotes

"If Obama wins, WE will get OUR taxes raised."

So, Jesse makes more than $250,000 per year - good for him.
He's a greedy bastard who's tired of paying almost his fair share of taxes,
but he's not speaking for the 98% of America that doesn't make $250,000.

"Wrong to do with a struggling economy - worst thing you can do is
take money from the private sector and give it to the government."

But Jesse - for eight years, Bush took our tax money and gave it to the oil companies
and the super-rich - then he borrowed money from the Saudis and the Chinese to give even
more billions to the oil companies and the super-rich - and you say it's wrong to stop that?
Where did you get your degree in finance - at Jerry Falwell's university?

"McCain is just four more years of George Bush..."    Link

Oh, I get it - Jesse fancies himself as "an independent," so he's helping Ralph Nader
which means he's helping McCain which means he wants four more years of Bush.

Quotes

"A critical issue in this election is whether we are going to reward this kind of politics - rooted
entirely in feeling, in prejudice and in group loyalties - or whether we can return to a greater
emphasis on how to win this war and how to restore the Constitution. At this point, only Obama
represents any kind of move forward from this. McCain has signaled he'll do whatever the
Clintons tried - and then some."
-- Andrew Sullivan, who almost spoke without mentioning his hatred for the Clintons

Poor Andrew - he's got Hillary on the brain and he can't get up.

"I find it consistently entertaining to see how many people claiming to hate the Clintons
are unable to resist reading every word written about them. It's like they are obsessive stalkers."
Why the need to distract everyone from the Obama message with these kinds of articles?"

Subject: How Obama can win

Dear Bart:

I have written you emails expressing my belief that I did not believe Obama will be President.
Well, I've changed my mind. I now see how Obama will win.  Want to know how?

One of his supporters will pen an op ed piece in The New York Times accusing the electoral
college of being a dog whistle to white racists. It'll turn every thing around. Just you watch.

Yes, this is snark.

Subject: Giggling Murderer in China

bart,

Did you happen to catch Bush during the first day of the Olympics?
He was in the stands, looking like he needed a drink and couldn't get out of there,
bored to death, and slapping his American flag against his leg.

It was easy to tell that China is a first class dictatorship, too.
No one bothering him, no obvious Secret Service - and no booing.
He gets booed at US sporting events.

ha ha

Kobe walked through the crowd and it looked like he need the Secret Service protection.

FBI's Anthrax Story Doesn't Add Up

 Link

 Excerpt:
The strongest evidence they have going for them is also their Achilles' heel and that he's psychological profile.
That fact that he's very unstable, that he was someone who was an alcoholic, that he might wanted to have the
vaccine continue to go along, but that's also the fact that he could have been set up as a cutout or puppet or
used by a group of people who wanted the anthrax out there.

They also knew about his weak psychological profile.  How was he employed with the most secret biological w
arfare lab in the United States with this type of background that we now hear about?  That they should have
known about from day one.  The Defense Department should hang its head in shame.

The anthrax scare allowed them to pass the Patriot Act.
The Patriot Act gave Bush more power than any man on Earth has ever had.

How Bush obtained that power should be a job for America's journalists and Democrats
but they're too busy kissing Bush's 22% approval ass to do their damn jobs.

It's enough to make you want to...

Why I Can't Get Laid
 by Maureen Dowd

 Link

 Excerpt:
The Breck Girl (She calls Edwards that because the vulgar Pigboy calls him that) wants a gold star
for the fact that he sent his marriage into remission when his wife was in remission. That's special.

How did this hack writer get a job with the Whore Times?

In his statement, he bleats: "You cannot beat me up more than I have already beaten up myself.
I have been stripped bare." Isn't stripping bare how he got into this mess?

Dowd is a terrible writer, but she beats up Democrats so they give her the Pulitzer.

7 8 worrisome signs for Obama

 Link

 Excerpt:
1. Race. "The idea that Obama was going to win in a blowout was always preposterous,"
says former Nebraska senator and Clinton-hater and 9-11 enabler Bob Kerrey.

2. Obama's strength in VA, PA and OH may be overhyped.

3. Michigan's in play for McCain.

4. Fear works to the advantage of the Fascist bastards and Cheney is still not in jail.

5. Bob Barr (Pro-life, killed his daughter) isn't stealing as many votes as Ralph the Ego.

6. The South has trouble voting for a Northerner, much less a northern Black man.

7. Americans may want divided government. "He's pretty liberal and nobody
wants a pair of Pelosis running things,"

8. Is Obama taking this contest seriously? Did he learn anything from Kerry's loss?
Why is he in Hawaii - trying to sew up their 4 electoral votes?
Wouldn't mid-November be a better time to go on vacation?

Iraq pumped 3.5M  barrels daily before Bush invaded
and then they got their 2003 Halliburton upgrade,
their 2004 Halliburton upgrade,
their 2005 Halliburton upgrade,
their 2006 Halliburton upgrade,
their 2007 Halliburton upgrade,
their 2008 Halliburton upgrade

Bush is stealing up to 6 million barrels of oil per day.
Since oil sells for $140 or more per barrel,
Bush is stealing $840,000,000 every day.

No wonder they were so eager to start a war,
It's the biggest theft in Earth's history.

but now...
4,134 brave men and women are gone.

4,134 families have been destroyed
by the greed of the Bush bastards.

Let's try something new in November.

Why are we there?
Because Iraq's oil wells have NO METERS!

That's almost 1B dollars that
goes missing every day!

Where's that money going?
