After all the whining over “class warfare”, the GOP has forced an election that really
is about the very rich versus everyone else — and the Romney supporters are so
insulated by their wealth that they can’t even see the problem.

Romney is in very serious trouble.

Think of the pattern:: the obfuscation over the Bain record on jobs, outsourcing,
the mysterious offshore accounts (and the magical $100 million IRA), the stonewalling
on past tax records, and now his insistence that he was no longer working at a company
that continued to list him as CEO and pay him lots of money. ...

It looks to me as if Romney is in the process of getting defined — and his party won’t like the results.

And for good measure, wait till this gets out. Remember the "nail ladies"? What do “nails ladies” earn?
The answer is that in 2010 the mean annual wage of Manicurists was $21,760.

So, the nails ladies face a higher marginal effective tax rate than Romney donors.

Romney has announced deeeep tax cuts for the super-rich and more money for the military
so services must be cut to fund his giveaways to the wealthiest Americans.

Why did he announce all that?

Paris Hilton in trouble for anti-gay remarks

Paris Hilton has found an unlikely savior.

The celebutante may be in the doghouse for recently railing that gay men are
"disgusting" and "probably have AIDS," but she does have at least one person
in her corner: Bret Easton Ellis.

The outspoken author has come to Hilton's defense, saying he's in her court
when it comes to her controversial remarks.

Paris Hilton keeps apologizing for homophobic/AIDS remarks

"I kind of agree with Paris Hilton," the American Psycho author tweeted over the weekend.

He also name-checked the online gay-hookup hub that figured prominently in her anti-gay rant.

"As someone who has used Grindr? Paris Hilton isn't that far off," wrote Ellis, who's certainly
no stranger to controversy

First thing, why can't America get over its obsession with Paris Hilton, Britney, Lindsay Lohan, etc?

Last week, LL was involved in a possible hit-n-run in New York.
When the "victim" saw the hundreds of photographers filming, he saw his BIG chance.
Suddenly, his back was broken in 40 places and he'll need $40M for the "pain and suffering."
Had then been no papparazzi, there would've been no "news."

The whore press (which in this case sadky, includes Seth Meyers) fabricates a story
then they ask, "Why the hell can't these c-nts just go the fuck away?"

How can they "Go away" with a hundred photographers following their every move?

If Britney goes to a McDonalds and someone makes the claim that she didn't leave a big tip,
that "news" goes global in seconds and Britney has another "scandal" on her hands - it's just stupid.

As far as Paris, I wasn't there but I'll give you more truth than the Paris Hilton-hating whore press.

BTW, the cab driver recorded her converstion - how long has that been acceptable?

Or is it just OK to record Paris, Lindsay and Britney?

Paris was in a cab with a gay man who was explaining the Grindr app to her.
The gay guy said, "With Grindr, you can subtly ask if there are any gay people in the building
who want a quick fuck, often without using protection," according to the gay fella. (I wasn't there)

Paris said, "That's gross and disgusting," and isn't that what most people would say about
serialized, non-protected sexual contact with absolute strangers from high-risk groups?

Of course, the whore press turned that into "Paris hates gays, says they're disgusting."

I don't know Paris, I don't keep up with her, but it's my guess she has as many gay friends
as anybody in America but for some reason, it's very, very important that we hate her.

I've been asking for years - why the sky-high Paris Hilton hatred? Can't get an answer.

Hollywood is full of rich, stuck-up, good-looking, better-than-you women, but somehow
allllllllllllllllllll that hate comes down on 3-4 women and Paris is still the Queen.

Why can't they chase after Gingrich or Sheldon Adelson or the evil Koch Brothers - instead?

Monica Can't Stay Away
She's getting $12M for a book

Monica Lewinsky's new book deal will bring her a reported $12 million.

Lewinsky has already told her story once. This new book is rumored to have more
salacious details about Lewinsky and Clinton, ostensible complaints by Clinton about
Hillary, and Lewinsky’s love letters to Clinton, previously unpublished.

The New York Whore Post writes, “In them, she opened her heart about her
love for Bill and how much happier she could make him,” said the source.
“Some of what she wrote was so raw that she never sent them.”

Gee, they were that raw?

I liked Seth Meyer's take on this on SNL:
"You know who'd love to read this book? 1998!"

I'd hate to gamble $14M that I could get my money back with this book.

For one, it'll have to have some pretty salty stuff to grab people's attention.
The publisher surely told her, "You're going to have to drop some really,
REALLY big bombs or everyone's going to say, 'Been there, done that.' "

I would recommend to Monica that she claim Bill always wore a Batman costume
when they were spending time together. Otherwise, where's the damn story?

They don't say who the publisher is, but if the New York Whore Post has
the excerpts, does that mean Rupert Murdoch put up the $14M?

And it would be a heueueueueueueueueueuge deal if she had letters FROM Clinton,
but we all know Bill wasn't stupid enough to put anything in writing.

The fact she SHE wrote letters to HIM means nothing.

Think: You own a pawn shop.
One guy comes in with letters FROM Lincoln - he'll be rich.

The guy who comes in with letters TO Lincoln? Not so much.

Bill Maher’s Blood Libel is Bigotry

Bill Maher puts himself in the company of "9/11 liberals" who believe that Islam as a religion
is different and decidedly worse than all other religions. He said Friday that 'at least half of all
Muslims believe it is all right to kill someone who insults 'the Prophet.' His bad faith is in the
reference to 9/11, not the work of mainstream Muslims but of a political cult whose members
often spent their time in strip clubs.

He explicitly singles Islam out as more, much more homicidal than the other religions.

I'm not going to defend everything Maher's ever said, but can I ask a question?

If you start today and go backwards in time to identify
the last 1,000 people who exploded themselves over religion,
how many of that thousand would be Muslims?

Numbers can't be racist, can they?

Remember, the higher your number is, the more racist you are.
And if your number is 3 or 30 or 300, I'm going to ask who the other 700 are.

This is not an attack on the Muslim faith - it's math.
IF it turns out that of the last 1,000 people to explode themselves over religion,
If 900 of that thousand were Muslims, doesn't Bill Maher have a point?

If you, the reader are Muslim and currently outraged at what I've just asked, instead of
throwing a fit (or worse) why not write back and tell me where I'm wrong?

Put another way, is it wrong to say most Americam serial killers are white men?
If I look at the facts and come to that conclusion, do I hate all white people?

Subject: Wealth Redistribution favors the top 1%

When I listen to the Republicans throwing out the words "Redistribution of Wealth"
as the reason they should kick grandma to the curb I have to laugh. The way I see it
the wealth to being redistributed from the poor and middle class to the rich.

Half the country is owned by the top 1% who have trillions of dollars sitting in offshore
accounts. When the super rich crashed the economy the government just handed them
trillions of dollars that we taxpayers have to pay back. I'd like to see some wealth
redistribution back to the rest of the country so we can get back some of the money
the Romney types have been stealing from us.

Great TV Returns Tonight

This is the week when many/most of the real TV shows come back.

Of the new shows, I'm looking forward to Last Resort, starring the great Andre Braugher.
Check out this synopsis:

500 feet beneath the ocean's surface, the U.S. ballistic missile submarine Colorado receives their orders.
Over a radio channel, designed only to be used if their homeland has been wiped out, they're told to fire
nuclear weapons at Pakistan. Captain Marcus Chaplin (Andre Braugher) demands confirmation of the
orders only to be unceremoniously relieved of duty by the White House. XO Sam Kendal (Scott Speedman)
finds himself suddenly in charge of the submarine and facing the same difficult decision. When he also
refuses to fire without confirmation of the orders, the Colorado is targeted, fired upon, and hit. The sub
and its crew find themselves crippled on the ocean floor, declared rogue enemies of their own country.

Damn, that sounds like a great, no, really great premier - but then what?
Last Resort was created by Shawn Ryan, who did The Shield, which was great TV

Also looking forward to the sixties mob series Vegas, starring Dennis Quaid and Michael Chiklis.

Vegas is written by Nicholas Pileggi, ever heard of him?
He wrote a couple of things you might know, Casino and Goodfellas.

It's good to have distractions from the never-ending political battles.

I still haven't gotten over the whore media vs. the Clintons and all the stunning shit
the criminal empire got (gets) away with, as chronicled in The Hunting of the President.

Gotta admit that it is kinda funny and gratifying to watch the slo-mo train wreck that
the GOP nomination/campaign has been, and will continue to be all the way to the bitter
end for them. You are right about R&R being the best they have and how little they have
to show for it (kinda reminds me of my first four picks in Fantasy Football).

Good to hear that you're getting a break in the weather...my son is stationed at Tinker AFB
just down the road, so back home we've been following the triple-digit temps you've been having,
both last year and this year. Whew! I don't know how you midwesterners do it.

That sunset over the water shot features my home town Chicago, so those
are Lake Michigan waves breaking. The unique shape of the John Hancock Building
at the right end and the big, boxy, huge tower that used to be the Sears Tower at the
left are the clues. Some other faceless conglomerate owns it now.
