A leading conservative group unveiled poll results Wednesday that it said should comfort Republicans
who are squeamish about shutting down the government in an effort to defund Obamacare.
The poll from Heritage Action for America prove that triggering a government shutdown in an attempt
to gut the new health care law would not be detrimental to the GOP.

They pled not guilty to their crimes

Two college friends of the surviving Boston Marathon bombing suspect pleaded not guilty Tuesday
to allegations that they conspired to obstruct justice by agreeing to destroy and conceal some of their
friend’s belongings as he evaded authorities.
Dias Kadyrbayev and Azamat Tazhayakov, both 19-year-old nationals of Kazakhstan, are in deep shit.
On April 18, Tsarnaev’s friends took his laptop from his dorm room, along with a backpack that had
fireworks with explosive powder and a jar of petroleum jelly, which is used to seal the bomb. They say
Kadyrbayev got a text from Tsarnaev suggesting that he go to his dorm room and “take what’s there.”
Kadyrbayev later put the items in a trash bin outside the New Bedford apartment.
Attorneys for the two men have said their clients did not knowingly take evidence from the dorm.
Both face up to 25 years in prison.
I say throw the book at the little bastards.
It's one thing to get rid of a bag of weed if the cops are coming,
but you don't help the murdering bomber hide evidence of his crimes.
It my understanding they'll get deported back to the hell of Kazakhstan.

The tragedy raises questions about laws equating marijuana use with neglect, particularly

children often struggle to thrive away from their parents. Thus, the removal of children
from their parents' home should be executed rarely and only in times of absolute necessity.

An analysis of 63 scientific studies by the University of Rochester has concluded (somewhat controversially)
that atheists are more intelligent than churchy types. Of the studies analyzed, 53 reflected "a reliable negative
relation between intelligence and religiosity."
The team of psychologists hastened to point out, however, that it didn't mean people were dumb if they
believed in God — rather, that the more intelligent a person was, the more inclined they were to form
their own world view. For the purposes of the study, intelligence was defined as "ability to reason, plan,
solve problems, think abstractly, comprehend complex ideas, learn quickly, and learn from experience."
That all sounds pretty neat – but not much good when you're burning in hell with a pitchfork in your butt.

Hey, the right-wing nuts designed a plan after Pat Robertson lost the 1988 election to train their followers in
all things politic and to get their kind elected to office. So the Christian Coalition came down the pike, and
what do we have now? A Republican party dominated by these loony tunes and perpetual grid lock which
is destroying this country. And they don’t care.
If you read some of the stories Mikey has to tell, you get a chill down your spine. We’re headed for the
Christian Crusades II. Look what happened when some of these religious nuts went to Iraq and Afghanistan.
They were American soldiers who were trying to convert the Muslims to Christianity, well, that is, when they
weren’t killing them in a good, old-fashioned Christian tradition called “slaughter.”
Of course, the Muslims would think they were in the middle of a holy war with the U.S. The Fundamentalists
and Evangelicals want to take over the military, in order to overthrow the government. People may think I’m
paranoid to say that, but if they take over our government, every liberal will be tracked down like a dog and
slaughtered in the name of a vengeful God.
Great scenario for another science fiction series, like “Rapture.” Except it won’t be science fiction.
As one who’s been there, done that, it’s not as far-fetched as it seems.
