Mrs. Bart, so sorry for your loss. The passing of Bart is a loss to us all.
Each day I looked forward to seeing his page. I will miss him, his humor, and his sarcasm.
I sent a little something to help out; as much as I could afford. I hope all works out well for you.

Very, very, sad news. Bart's influence will ripple forward through history in this country. It matters when you influence, change and support ideas.

My mornings down here on the peaceful end of the earth will not be the same. I've been a keen follower over the years since I stumbled on Bart's daily rant of reality in 1997 while I was in Viet Nam doing pennance building Hotels in the "Belly of the Beast". He was such a unique and valued source of outside information and humour. He helped keep my stress levels within tolerable limits.
We'll not hear a voice like his again I'm a'feared.
Mrs. Bart I'll forward some cat food money. I am sorry Terry couldn't put it together for you to be mortgage free, alas.
I can only suggest that if you have to move--shift somewhere more clement.
Our thoughts are with you and the kitties.

Very sorry for your loss.
I always appreciated the fact he NEVER sold out. Other bloggers could/should learn this.

I was shocked and deeply saddened when I read Bart was gone. In fact, it was the first time I’ve shed tears since I had to put down my beloved dog a couple of years ago ... and I never even met the guy. His courage and dedication toward exposing the right-wing thugs as the liars and hypocrites they are showed a grit and character we should all admire. So long Mr Bart.

I loved Bart and am absolutely heartbroken to learn of his passing. Profound condolences to Mrs Bart, the family and the tens of thousands of people who came to love him through his magnificent efforts on this site.
Years ago I offered to do a benefit for Bartcop.com and for whatever reasons, it didn't happen. Time passed, Bart saw a documentary in which I was featured and he wrote a hilarious, generous and humble post about how he missed the boat when he failed to take me up on my offer. Well I'm going to offer a few things now so that I can finally deliver on my ancient suggestion.
First I'd be happy to help produce a Bartcop memorial show with proceeds going to Mrs. Bart. I'd be honored to perform at any such event already planned.
Next I'd like to offer to provide occasional content to Bartcop.com that, if augmented by other writers with a following, would provide enough new content to help convince people to continue subscribing.
I'm also open to any other suggestions anyone might have about how best to celebrate the life of our very funny, tenacious and sweet friend. I await word from anyone with authority to allow me to set these things in motion.
I'm stunned and saddened, just like all of you. Let's not drop the ball. Let's pull together and rally the scores of people who loved Bart so much so we make sure that we act. not just to commemorate his work, but to carry it on. It's the only way we properly thank someone who gave everything he had until he had no more. He was a brave and fine man. I'm going to go drink sone tequila and listen to a little Garbage.
Here's to Bartcop. Long may he run.

Just crushing. Terry kept me sane when my son spent 18 months in combat in Iraq in 2003 and 2004. Everyday he brought sanity to my life since then. i just took terry for granted. he was always there for me. missed? so much, so sad, lets keep the hammer going. Support Mrs. B.
