Florida students walk out for Trayvon
This isn't going away like the racists hoped

Students at several South Florida high schools have walked out of their classrooms
in the growing calls for justice in the Trayvon Martin case.
Friday morning, students from Norland, Miami Central, and American High Schools,
just to name a few, held peaceful protests at their schools.
For those students who went off campus, Miami-Dade Schools police were on the scene
but only to make sure they were conducted in a peaceful manner.
Miami-Dade Schools asked students to respect the wishes of Trayvon’s mother
by not walking out of school.
I'm not sure I've ever seen a civil justice case explode like this one.
Is Twitter/Facebook causing the tsunami of righteousness??
I saw something really strange on FOX News yesterday. I tuned in to see
if they were openly mocking Trayvon's family or merely ignoring the story.
To my great surprise, Shepherd Smith was showing signs of being human.
He was on the verge of tears talking about this Trayvon murder.
He said, (I didn't know this) that after Trayvon was murdered, his body was put in a cooler
at the coronoer's office and everyone involved in the case went about their business.
According to SS, they made no attempt to contact Trayvon's family.
SS said Trayvon's parents were frantically searching for Trayvon FOR DAYS.
Shepherd Smith, still on the verge of tears, then said, "They had Trayvon's cell phone.
If *I* am ever shot down in the street, all you have to do is pick up my phone and press
"Mom" and it will call my mother. If you press "Dad," it will phone my dad. Why didn't
the cops at least make an effort to contact Trayvon's parents?" said Smith, his voice shaking.
So I'm watching this is shock.
I checked the remote to verify that I was still on FOX - yep, I was.
Why would FOX News show sympathy to a Black child?
Did their comedy/sarcasm writers go on strike?
There was no laughter, no mocking of Trayvon's family, no racist Rev Al impressions,
they didn't dress up in blackface and mock re-enact the shooting - no, not at all.
They were acting like decent human beings and that was very confusing to me.
Are they expecting Obama to win again?
Are they expecting the GOP's war on women and war on Blacks to backfire?
Are they attempting to get out-front of some new wave of American civility?
Nahhh,
I'll bet it's more likely Shep Smith has a teenage son and he got to thinking
how goddamn lucky his kid was to be born white in murderous, racist America.

A bronze coffin used to transport President Kennedy's body from Dallas to Washington was dropped
from a military plane into the ocean two years after he was killed, according to assassination documents.
"Apparently the casket is in 9,000 feet of water in the Atlantic Ocean," Kermit L. Hall, a member of
the defunct Assassination Records Review Board, said in a telephone interview Friday night.
Hall said that documents to be released Tuesday (this story is from 1999( by the National Archives show
that the coffin was flown several miles off the Maryland-Delaware coast in early 1965 and dumped in
an area where the military discards unstable and outdated weapons and ammunition.
The revelation that the coffin was deep-sixed resolves a lingering mystery about its whereabouts.
But it also fuels speculation among assassination researchers that it was discarded to hide foul play.
I didn't know about this - did you?

Josh Marshall says Romney has managed to pull off a win in every "make or break" state.
"I think it's clear to most people who watch politics closely that Romney is going to win and he's
going to come into Tampa and be the nominee," Marshall told The Daily Ticker.
"The question is how damaged or how strong is he when he gets there."
Romney, the former dog torturer, has billed himself as the best candidate to fix the economy.
But Romney, and his GOP rivals, may have to rethink their strategy as the economy continues to recover.
"They started this race figuring nine percent unemployment," Marshall says.
"The economy is improving slowly but it is improving. Republicans need a plan B."
As always, good news for America is bad news for the dirty-legged Republicans.
They desperately need for America to crumble so they can get in there and drive out
every last remnant of sane economic policy to make Wall Street mega-looting easier.

Subject: A murderer walks free
I think it's a travesty for America that we allow George Zimmerman - the man
who killed the black teenager Trayvon Martin - to just walk around free.
About a month ago Zimmerman shot and killed Martin in Stanford Florida. Martin was
unarmed and screaming for his life when he was shot. Zimmerman pursued Martin after
being told by the police not to. Zimmerman's excuse was self defense. You have to be kidding me!
You can just shoot someone and tell the police you did it and just walk out
the door with your gun and not be arrested! That is just plain crazy!
Allowing Zimmerman to walk free without an arrest sends a message to all black people
that in America that someone can come up and shoot you and just walk away. And it's not
just black people. I'm white. and it tells me that I can be shot like that by anyone who doesn't
like me for any reason. All they got to do is say it was self defense. It makes me wonder if
this is a sign that we have collectively gone insane?

I understood this joke as a commentary on the fact that we had white First Ladies for 220 years
before having the first non-white one. (I remember Democrats asking, in 2008, "Are we ready

couple hundred years of race relations.

People are having some fun with the story about notable ambush-video journalist Jason Mattera
publishing what he thought was a hard-hitting interview with U2's Bono, but what was, in fact,
a hard-hitting interview with a Bono impersonator. We're most amused, though, by Mattera's
odd mea culpa. The Washington Post's Erik Wemple got a comment from him:
“I got punked. I thought I got Bono. I didn't. I got his impersonator apparently ...
After scores of interviews with big-time politicians and celebrities, I finally got had.
It was bound to happen sooner or later...."
Mattera originally published the video on Breitbart.com and a few other conservative outlets
picked it up. In it, Mattera confronts and interviews the Bono look-alike about some of U2's
tax practices. It's since been taken down. We find especially amusing his comment that such
an incident becomes "inevitable" if you're a scumbag who tries to trick the public.
How in the world could you possibly sit down and talk to
a "fake Bono" and not realize he wasn't the real deal?
It just proves Breitbart is still lying to us from his new home in Hell.

Pelosi tries to make the point that these two films are opposite sides of a coin, one angering the right,
the other pissing off the left.
I don't agree.
The film showing welfare recipients abusing the system in NYC is something that is wrong and could
be fixed. It's repairable. Also, despite what the right believes, welfare abuse -- like voter fraud -- is nowhere
near as big a problem as their propaganda makes it out to be. All too often, they take some isolated examples
of fraud and suggest (citing no facts) that this relatively small problem is wrecking the country.
I agree with the Angry Liberal.

The Republicans are looking for any excuse to discontinue welfare and food stamps and Social Security,
