I have been a bartcop fan since about #5 of RLLNW. I was at Juliefest when I first met you and never missed a day. You will be missed bart. I will miss the humor and the great sarcasm. I will mostly miss knowing that there was someone out there that thought like me.
I will be doing a ceremonial fatty in your honor. Godspeed.

My condolences. May he rest in the arms of The Most High.
I discovered Bartcop by accident a few years ago and exclaimed "What a revelation and deliverance from ignorance and apathy". I looked forward to viewing this site every Monday morning. Bart will be missed, and I will pray to The Holy Mother to look after her son.
Bart, I'm gonna smoke a big phat joint (marijuana) in your honor. It was a privilege to have come across a great and caring mind such as yours.

Bart, was a mentor and a hero. He published my ramblings from time to time and supported me in my crazed endeavors. A true friend and inspiration, there is now a hole in my life as I realize that checking in and reading his page and his thoughts has become a habit for me as we began our friendship when I was but a teen in high school, and now in my thirties I am at a loss. Bart will be missed. Thanks for everything you did, you made it better for me and many others as well.

You took a chance and swung the hammer. You changed your life and those of your friends and fans. I visited your site almost every day for over a decade, and it will always be a part of my awakening to the internet as the most bad ass soapbox since CB radio. Your influence will be felt, you will be missed. A shot of Chinaco to you.

My condolences Mrs. Bart.
I'd rather miss my morning coffee than Bart's column ever day. I got a personal response from him for everything I sent or donated. He was a true gentleman and I will miss him dearly. I'll always cherish my 2
"Bart Cop" Shot glasses.
Hang in there.

I remember when Bart posted about him being sick and wondering how long he had. I had a bad feeling when he recently got sick, and now I am so so sad after reading the news. I was hoping there would be a new page and there would be more swinging hammers after all.
Bartcop.com was such an influential part of my life. He was such a comfort during those terrible Bush years, and he even gave my tastebuds an awakening after his Chinaco recommendations.
I feel like a friend is gone. You really got me through a rough time in life. Thanks, Bart.

Bartcop has been one of the first pages that I checked on an almost daily basis since the late '90s. I really appreciated Terry's wit AND wisdom, and will truly miss his presence.
The world has lost a great man, and I grieve. I grieve for him, I grieve for Mrs. Bart, I grieve for me, I grieve for the world.
Rip Bartcop. Keep swingin' that hammer.

If I Had A Hammer-LEE HAYS, PETE SEEGER
If I had a hammer,
I'd hammer in the morning,
I'd hammer in the evening,
All over this land,
I'd hammer out danger,
I'd hammer out a warning,
I'd hammer out love between,
My brothers and my sisters,
All over this land.
It's the hammer of justice
And "BartCop" did...
