I have known Terry since the bad ol' days on the long-defunct Prodigy message boards.
My deepest sympathies to Mrs. Bartcop & family.

I am still at a loss. This is like a member of my own family passing. You would know a good man by his words. Bartcop was a great man. I will miss him

I was just sick to hear that Bart was gone. I wrote him a couple of weeks ago with chemo tips, since I'm a 3 time survivor. My husband started reading the page in 2000 when we got our first home computer. I held out for a while, since my tolerance for political BS is low, but Bart's voice beating up the idiots was too entertaining to resist. I can't keep donating forever, but will donate the amount that would cover the rest of 2014. Best of luck to you, Mrs. Bart--I wish you moments of laughter and peace, and the knowledge that Bart provided so many of us with sanity over the years.

Dear Debby,
I'm so sorry we've all lost Terry (although I'll always think of him as Bart). I lost my wife of 27 years a couple of years ago. You're in a very bad place right now, but it won't always be this bad. That's what the leader of my support group says to new arrivals. It is true.
There was a time beginning with the Clinton impeachment, and continuing on with the stolen election of 2000 and continuing onward when it appeared that the world had gone mad. When you feel like the only sane one, you really begin to get that gnawing feeling that you have it backwards: they're all sane and you're nuts. Bartcop.com was one of those early lighthouses in a churning sea of dark madness that pointed the way to a safe harbor of rationality. That sounds over the top, but it's really not. I think Bartcop.com saved my sanity.
None of us will be here forever and we all hope to leave the world a better place when we're gone. Terry did. He really did.
Take care,
Jerry

Mrs. Bart . . . your husband was a HERO. A light in the conservative darkness, especially after the 2000 stolen election. May you find support. May you find peace.

Terry was a good friend who gave me a lot of help and inside pointers when I first started publishing even though I was competition and published my articles every time I sent one in. Rest in peace my brother!

As a frequent reader and a not-as-frequent-as-I-should donor, I can't remember how I originally found Bartcop, but I believe it was shortly after the BFEE stole the 2000 election. I'm so sorry to hear of his passing. He helped me and, I'm sure, many others through some tough times with his wit, unique take on politics, and his ever-vigilant scrutiny of politicians, media whores, and evil-doers. I intend to help keep his hammer swinging.
Thank Koresh I found Bart,
Big Orange Jeff

The page has been a comforting and humorous friend to me for the past several years. Hearing of Barts death saddens me greatly. The world is a poorer place because of his passing.

I've been reading BartCop almost from the beginning. So sad Bart is gone as he spread the Liberal word against all odds. Would never have made it through the Bush/Cheney days without his words of Democratic wisdom. rest in peace Bart.

Y'know, I haven't visited the Bartcop forum in ages. I used to be a regular. Time simply got away from me. I'm here to say that if it weren't for Bartcop, I wouldn't have made it through the era of Bush the Stupider and The Dick Cheney. The rage and humor of Bartcop's rants helped me to get through it. He was able to express what I was thinking perfectly, and with great humor. Thanks, Terry. We will try to keep that hammer swinging...
