Oh, this is such sad news. I am heartbroken! Bartcop was and probably always will be the funniest liberal site on the Internet. I have quoted Bart dozens of times over the years. He will not be forgotten. I am getting a bonus soon so I will be sending some funds for Mrs. Bart. I know he wasn't a believer but I am, so I say, God bless Bart!

I have been corresponding with Bart since the old Prodigy message boards. Terry generously provided me with several treasured Led Zeppelin concert tapes. Decades later, he provided me with additional treasured Led Zeppelin concert CDs.

In between, and until last week, he provided me with much entertainment on his web site.

Bart was a generous, gregarious, thoughtful and opinionated man. We shared many opinions; we differed on others.

I'm sorry I never met him in person. I'm sure most who did thought even more highly of him.

My sympathies to those who loved him and will miss him. Your lives are better for having known him. Mine was better merely for reading and corresponding with him.

Bart was the first website to post my anti-establishment series Absurdity Today (formerly The Ironic News Report). It was because of him that I kept going. I had no idea anyone would like what I did at the time and his acceptance of the series was pivotal for me. Thank you Bartcop. RIP

I am so sad about this loss. I have enjoyed Bart's postings for so many years now. We agreed on just about everything! He will be missed by all of us who have stopped here. My sincere condolences to Mrs. Bart (and the kitties).
