My dad Honest Bob was a huge Bartcop fan and introduced me when I was in college in 1999. I have loved reading Bartcop since then and I am so going to miss old Bart. I love everything about bartcop the page is so perfect. It's so sad. Without Bart I feel like hammering on the monkey’s just isn’t the same. It’s like I’m just letting the hammer swing lazily at arm’s length. I send my half birthday donation and my condolences to Mrs. Bart. I wish there were some way to continue the page. I have always felt that a donation to Bartcop did a 1000 times more good than giving to a political campaign.

I will miss you Bart!
You gave me a venue to vent my frustrations through my cartoons.
You gave we progressives hope in the very dark Bush/Cheney era and now in the very insane Teapublican age.
Thank you for all of your hard work my friend.

I don't think there's enough liberal media even now, but the situation was even worse in the 90's and early 2000's. I would know certain things to be true, I would know that the sky was blue and the grass was green, but all I could find was corporate whore media telling me the sky was green and the grass was blue. After a while you can start to doubt your sanity, so how wonderful is it to find a site like Bart's where you can go and have someone tell you you're not crazy. And Bart did it in the style in which it needed to be done. These corporate whore bullies need to be made fun of, and they need to be punched in the nose, and Bart gave us that along with humor and his trademark sarcasm.
Thanks for everything Bart. I'll miss you. As this was pretty much the only political site I'd read, I have no idea what I'm going to do now.

My friend TommyB pointed me to Bart's page back in 2000, and I've read him ever since, always the 1 website I checked daily, and when the new one came out, always passed along the "Bart's up", always a good thing to hear.
Bart was great, funny and unwaivering, yet was willing to listen to other ideas or points of view, if presented like a decent human being. I never met him, but always felt like I knew him, and always wished that I could support him financially more. He always had the deepest love and respect for his wife, and it showed - guys like this don't come around often, and I'm glad to say that I was somehow involved with him.
Good luck, Mrs. Bart, I'm very sorry for your loss, but always know and be proud that your loss is shared in shards all over the globe.

I have been a loyal reader for several years now, I'm not sure who would ever be able to fill the void. My sincere condolences to Mrs. Bartcop.

Bart's passion and love made the world a better place. I think he had a much greater impact than he knew. He was always honest (TOO honest, some might say hehe) and his courage inspired me to stand up for what is right.
Whenever I went to the website and new page was up, I was always excited to find out what he was fired up about!
Unfortunately, I never met him but he seemed like the kind of guy who wouldn't want us to grieve for very long, but to keep on enjoying life and holding the powerful accountable.
Keep swinging the hammer!

Condolences to Bart's loved ones - Wow! Bart dead - I hope BartCop will never die. I followed all his descriptions of his health issues but somehow I assumed he would go on forever. His wit/humor/sarcasm will be missed. His love for Mrs. Bart was noticable throughout the blog. "Worst President Ever" ha ha - "Best Politcal Blog Ever"

So sad to hear of Terry's passing. I discovered the site back in 2001 and have been a devoted visitor ever since. My day will no longer be complete without my Bartcop fix. Deepest condolences to Mrs. Bart. Your husband was one of the greats and will be greatly missed.
