So sad to hear the news. I had a bad feeling when the new page didn't show up and it said Bart was under sedation trying to get better. It just sucks and he was still so young. I loved his page since the beginning and looked for updates every day - what a great person. I never met him or talked to him, but I feel I lost a great friend. Take Care Brother.

And what a kick to check in and find that he had posted one of my mini rants. We argued and agreed over the years, but were always on the same team. I'll miss you, old friend. There's a spiral of silence out there that keeps people from speaking out on unpopular topics. Bart is my hero - he fought that spiral and gave us the honest truth. There wasn't a day over the past 5 years when I didn't sit down and type "bartcop.com" into my browser - to get what I consider a sane perspective on things. You will be missed Bart! And to Mrs. Bart, I'm sure you know what a wonderful model Bart was for many of us. I'm sorry for your loss and grief, but you can smile with the rest of us as we read back on Bart's rants and raves. What a loss. Bartcop inspired write on blogs and take on some seriously misguided republicans. Thank you for that Bartcop. I learned I could write. We met in Vegas back in 06 at the Palms. He appreciated my opinion and comments on Tequila. Since returning to the stateside no longer had time to read or write. The United States does that to one. No time to think and enjoy.
