Incredibly sad news that we've lost Bart. I know I won't be alone in missing Bart's smart mouth. To Mrs. Bart, no one knows what you're experiencing unless (s)he has been through the same. So sorry you have to do this. Will send something to help with the mortgage, per Bart's request.

This news hit me harder than any passing other than my family since Jerry Garcia passed in '95. We knew he was ill but this is shocking news. His work must be carried on. My sincere condolences to Mrs. Bart and the Bartcop community.

BartCop was the 1st liberal site I found online when I ran away fr: home & the 2nd ex in 1997 & wound up in Ark. I considered Bart a neighbor, & loved his passion in all things political. He understood that "everything is politics". Well, Bart, take your deserved rest, & we will keep your spirit alive here on earth. We miss you. :-(

I am a Born Again Christian who butted heads with Bart more than once. He would make me cringe almost daily. I loved Bart and I am truly saddened that he is gone. I will send what I can to Mrs. Bart in the next couple of weeks. I encourage everyone else to be human and humane to the widow of this brilliant (IQ of 164)down to earth political comedian.
