I don't really drink, but I'm having a few sips of Chinaco Tequila after reading about Bartcop's passing. Too many good laughs and memories to list here, so raising a glass in your memory!

I am so saddened to read of the passing of such a fine man. I'm from Fayetteville and new him in passing when he worked at Ken's Pizza on Dickson St. I want Mrs. Bart to know that she and all theirs are in my closest thoughts now. Bart had greatness, and he will be missed.

Always slow to load, but quick to make me laugh, Bartcop.com helped me through the darkest days of the 2000 campaign, the Bush selection & beyond. Our Godfather of Snark influenced all of us on the internet for the better. Will miss you Bart!

Bart kept me sane during the Clinton impeachment and Iraq War when it seemed like the whole country had lost its mind. Thanks, Bart and RIP

My heart is heavy...been on this site since '98...I know Bart was resoundingly greeted in the transition as his motivations and intent were never in question. Feel as i did when I lost a younger brother. Love ya man!

We were devastated to read the news yesterday. We've been daily readers and sporadic contributors since Bush stole the White House or so and bartcop was always the first thing I read in the morning and often the best thing I read all day. I never had the chance to meet the Bart Family in person but we exchanged a number of e-mails over the years and I feel like I know them pretty well. We're really going to miss him.
Our deepest sympathies to Mrs. Bart and the rest of the family.
