Thank you Bart for daring to challenge the powers that be and their right wing "political correctness". Like you, it is a battle that I have fought on my own as liberals today are too timid to challenge this wicked delusionalism. That is why I have been banned from Real Cities, Beliefnet, & even DemocraticUnderground. But with you as inspiration I go forth and fight the good fight of truth, justice, and the American way ...

As a fellow Oklahoman, I enjoyed his daily rants. He saw right through the madness of the wingnuts and loved revealing the truth behind their lies. Living in this state can enrage anyone with a progressive attitude. Thanks Bart, your humor, wisdom and courage will be missed.

Bartcop was the only person verbalizing my thoughts during the 2000 and 2004 elections . . . Had it not been for this sight I might if thought I was alone in my anger and frustration. You will be missed . . . RIP forever knowing you mattered to many.

mad I am gonna miss this guy. I found him back in the mid 90's when I thought I was the only sane person left who saw through the lying nazi gasbags BS and that the world had gone mad. He may have saved my sanity. Over the years I stopped every day to read his latest rant. We emailed back and forth many times & he published a few of my things which made me proud. I loved the guy I never met like my brother and I will miss him dearly. He deserved better.

Memories of Bartcop
Reading all the back issues after discovering the site in the late 90s.
Hoping to get a chance to see Plant and Page with him if they cam around.
Envy at being able to get sweet corn from the stalk and in the belly in minutes.
Chincao Anejo.
Julefest - meeting Bart, Jule Steele, David Brock and James Carville
I remember when Bart wrote he was sick, but not going away anytime soon. Stil, way too soon.
Thanks Bart, for being a progressive who knew how to fight back.
