I found bart when in 2000, I fled to Norman, OK to be with family. It wasn't a good fit for a California hippie like me but when I found bartcop, I found hope. And although I moved west (wish he could have come west too), I still made a point to read every issue bart put out. He has made swinging that hammer to break apart tea baggers a skill, a high art. I am so sorry to read this and my tears are for Mrs. Bart and the bart kitties and the "dozens" of us bartcop readers. No doubt he will be missed and I hope someone can take up the bartcop banner in his memory.

Beyond sad, right now. Bart was a true warrior. He will be missed. I hope you get to meet your heroes who went before you, on the other side, Bart. Peace to Mrs. Bart.

We are now missing someone who was a positive influence in the world. For a man who had a self-proclaimed IQ of 64, he taught me very many things about politics and what was going on in the world. I cannot remember exactly when I stumbled upon this fun and fine blog, but it was sometime after Duhbya was "selected" for office--I've been reading ever since. Old Bart has kept me laughing and informed and pissed off at the egomaniacs who lie, cheat, and steal their way to fattening their own wallets. Old Bart: I'll smoke some herb and hopefully find a shot of Chinaco to enjoy and toast in your honor. Peace be with you, warrior of words. Mrs. Bart: please know that there are many out here "in the nets" thinking of you and wishing you well.

I am so sorry to hear about Bart. I loved him and his wit. I don't know what I will find to fill that hole. I have been reading since the beginning pages. Mrs. Bart cop I know this is agony for you and I send to you love and hope you can find some peace. I hope someone will take up the page at least for a little while and do a tribute. Bart meant so much to us all. We have some photos of the Vegas trip which could be posted. I have been reading Bart for s very long he was a huge part of my live and I will miss him.

My deepest condolences to Mrs. Bart & the kitties.

Bart I've enjoyed reading your page for many years. We haven't always agreed on everything, but your page has always been the first thing I read on line. You will be greatly missed.

Keep swinging the big hammer wherever you are. One day we'll meet up at that cosmic treehouse and enjoy a shot or two of tequila.

Peace out my friend.
