This has made me cry it's just so damn sad. I've been reading Bartcop for many, many years and have always marveled at his very quick wit, humor, and common sense. This is a tremendous loss to the reality based community and this woman will miss him. Condolences to Mrs. Bart.

Someone showed me his blog in February 1996 right after it started. I was an ardent supporter from that moment. I'm going to miss his intelligent rants, and tearing haters' comments to shreds.

He did a lot of good with his simple little webpage.

You had a huge influence Terry.

When I first got on the internet,with my dial-up connection, this was one of the first sites I found where I could laugh and be informed at the same time.
Bart was like the old friend I never met.

I started reading bartcop during the Bush years. Bartcop was that shining city on the hill that kept me sane during those dark times and continued to brighten my day for all the years to come. Im deeply saddened by the loss of a great voice in this political wilderness.

I loved coming here every morning for some laughs.
And sometimes I got upset at what Bart wrote, but he also gave me a different perspective to chew on, when he did.

I wish I could contribute, but sadly, I'm in no position to - being unemployed for over 4 years now.
