Subject: Liberal Blogs posting Bush's TARP Bailout video

Liberal bloggers are organizing to stop the Republican’s attempt to rewrite history and blame
the deficit on Obama and the Democrats by posting the Bush TARP speech video on their
web sites to remind voters that the economy and the debt is the fault of Bush and the Republicans.
The idea is to assign blame where blame is due.

When Clinton was president we had a surplus. We were paying down the national debt.
Then the Republicans seized power and the surplus quickly became a deficit. They cut taxes
for the rich and started two expensive wars. The deregulated the financial markets and allowed
the big banks to steal to the point of global economic collapse.

This video of Bush with his hat in his hand begging America to pony up almost a trillion dollars
reminds us what really happened. We liberal blogs are trying to organize so that we all post this
video and put out the message so that the voters, who are angry, get angry at the right parties.

Maybe then the public will have a real choice about whether we are going to stay the course with
Obama or go back to irresponsible spending and deregulation as it was when Bush gave this speech.

I urge every blogger to post this video and keep it on top till the election. Who is with me on this?

Subject:  Election Day rage

Hi Bart-love your blog but miss the animal pictures.
I agree with the statement about unions. I am a retired teacher in an inner city school.
All of this crap about bad teachers is just that-crap.
For one, that has not been even close to my experience in 31 years of teaching.,
that is that teachers are the problem and the teachers union perpetuates the problem.
It is a statistical impossibility that were and are all bad. There are bad teachers, as there are
also bad parents, bad administrators, bad curricula, bad buildings, bad books etc.

It's all about getting rid of any and all unions. After they come for the teachers they will
come for the nurses, the police and firemen, and then any and all government workers.
Keep up the good work.

Judy, thanks for that.
Maybe we should do a Wildlife Picture of the Day

"Heaven forbid the GOP machine strays from (the Teabagger) message.
If so, the GOP is through."

-- The Publicity Whore, threatening the GOP,

Subject: GOP to investigate everything

Hey Bart!

Is it possible for the Democrats in congress* to block the upcoming Republican't scorched earth policies
(if they get in power) in a manner similar to how the Republican't dirtbags have been Cheneying everything up
for Obama since the scary black muslimoid socialist alien was elected (by the largest majority since Ray-Gun)?

Can't they make sure impeachment witch hunts stay off the table?

Also - isn't it funny how Democratic politicians fell all over themselves in their haste to promise to take
Chimpeachment off of the table during the re-election cycles of his illegally installed reign, but Republican'ts
get to play the impeachment card whenever and wherever they feel like it?
  Tom the Pillar in Pontiac

The Democrats are pitifully helpless and their hands are always tied.

Just ask them.

“Mike Palecek reminds me of Socrates the gadfly who asked unwelcome questions,
Diogenes with his lantern looking in vain for an honest man,
Chekhov the man with the hammer challenging the complacent family to share their meal,
Kerouac the ever on the move, somewhat hysterical searcher, and he reminds me of many
Americans who as children were so blasted with propaganda that they’re devoting the rest
of their lives to challenging the lies and all who tell them. In this land where babies are
brought by storks and buildings collapse due to unpatriotic bricks, we need the gadfly
because no leader, preacher, guru, or saint will wake us up, though the Doomsday clock
is ticking close to twelve.”

So it's been bugging me - who is in this picture?

The car slightly resembles a late 70s Australian-model Chrysler Valiant
but I'm pretty sure it's a a Datsum 810/Maxima from the late 70s or so.

From the clothing I am guessing the picture is from the same era.
Location probably northern Europe. I couldn't identify the license plate
but I know it's not Australian. (Yes, Australia makes lots of cars but no
home-grown companies - just the US/Asian multinationals making mostly
the same cars you can buy elsewhere).

I can't identify the people. Who is this?

Glen, that has stumped everybody.

Maybe it would help if we knew where they were.
Looks like a fairly large city next to mountains...
