This is a sad day and the end of an era. I hoped for the best but knew it didn't sound good. There others out there fighting right wing craziness but Bart was unique and passionate.

Oh my god, NO. It's too much. I cannot accept this. I adore this man. I sent $$$ when I could and spread his web page for others to enjoy. What a giant hole this leaves in our lives. There is NOBODY who can take his place. He is the only news page I ever visit! I miss him, his wit, and his way of dealing with Monkey Mail. He was a great example of how to have grace when others are being nasty. I hope his family understands that they do not grieve alone. All us us are heartbroken. Nobody can fill his shoes. He was the BEST!

Wow I'm so sad about Bart's passing. His page was like an oasis in the desert. I'll never forget when I stumbled on to Rush Limba Lying Nazi Whore. I knew right away I was going to like that page. I'm going to miss him terribly. My condolences to Mrs. Bart.

I am deeply saddened to learn the passing of my long time friend Bartcop. I met Bart back in the late 90's through a mutual friend Denis who has since passed away also. Bart gave me the opportunity to write for the page in columns, stories, jokes and finding cartoons. I feel a great gap in my heart that will bleed for some time I know. Geez, why is it always the good folk that die early? Via Con Dios, Senor Terry!
