The TIME Magazine story has finally hit print
Could 9/11 Have Been Prevented?
Long before the tragic events of September 11th, the White House debated taking the fight to al-Qaeda.
It didn't happen and soon it was too late. The saga of a lost chance
President Lazy, August 2001 in Crawford,
posing for a photographer to make it seem
like he's actually working.
Berger attended only one of the briefings-the session that dealt with
the threat posed to the U.S. by international terrorism, and especially
by al-Qaeda. "I'm coming to this briefing," he says he told Rice,
"to underscore how important I think this subject is." Later, alone in
his office with Rice, Berger says he told her, "I believe that the Bush
Administration will spend more time on terrorism generally, and on
al-Qaeda specifically, than any other subject."
...but Team Bush said, "Thank you, now
and then we had the horrors of September 11th.
An editorial by the New York Whore Times
The Justice Department all but told a federal judge this week to take his legitimate concerns
about civil liberties and stuff them in the garbage pail. The Bush administration seems to believe,
on no good legal authority, that if it calls citizens combatants in the war on terrorism, it can imprison
them indefinitely and deprive them of lawyers. It took this misguided position to a ludicrous extreme
on Tuesday, insisting that the federal courts could not review its determinations.
The Bush administration seems to be using
the Hamdi case to establish the principle that it has the
exclusive power to decide who is an enemy combatant. If the administration's position prevails,
we can expect to see many more cases like it. The government will be free to seize anyone it wants
simply by saying the magic words "enemy combatant," and the courts will be powerless to release
such people from prison, or even provide them with lawyers.
Well, well, the New York Times has finally opened their eyes to
the facts we had six months ago.
The Illegal Usurper wants total and unlimited power, and the courts will back him up, the Democrats
will fail to complain, and the Whore Times helped Bush get elected with lies and half-truths.
Bart, you're being unpatriotic!

Abortionist fires gun at GOP reception
ATLANTA -- A.38-caliber pistol discharged as it was being handled
baby killer Bob Barr (R-Abortedhisdaughter) during a reception in his honor.
The bullet broke a glass door, and no one was hurt.
"Nobody was in any danger," lied
Georgia lobbyist and gun whore Bruce Widener.
"We were handling it safely, except that it was loaded."
Oh, I get it - except for the part where a hot chunk of lead tore
thru the room at 1,000 MPH,
except for that, there was "no danger," ...right, Bruce?
Uh, ...excuse me, but as a gun owner, I can assure you that anytime
a gun goes off
unexpectedly - there is more than a little danger. To suggest otherwise tells me that
these idiots have no business playing with guns. That headline could've easily been:
"One dead, two injured by Barr's recklessness with a loaded weapon."
State Dept. quashes suit against Exxon
The United States has intervened to quash a lawsuit filed against Exxon alleging that they
abetted abuses in Indonesia. The State Department told a court that the action against Exxon,
could have a "potentially serious adverse impact on significant interests of the United States,
directly related to the ongoing struggle against international terrorism".

Hey, Bart! I've been reading your work since RLLNW.
You got cleaner but you're still right on target.
I decided to finally pay some small amount since
there are so few places to read the truth these days.
I work in TV so I know crap journalism first hand.
Keep kicking ass.

Subject: Ruby Ridge was BEFORE Clinton
You said this "was the same FBI that murdered
Randy Weaver's wife.
That raid happened weeks after Clinton legally assumed the presidency,
but the right-wingers pounced from day one and never let up."
His son was killed on August 21, 1992. His
wife, the following day.
This is more than 2 months BEFORE Clinton was elected, and 5 months before he took office.
The really weird thing is even Randy Weaver blames Clinton which means Weaver
just may be the stupidest man who ever lived
Edward, that's all true.
All the right-wing radio frauds "know" Clinton killed Randy Weaver.
Rush still mentions it every few weeks.
They consider things like clocks and calendars as "liberal tricks,"
because that's what their leaders, Rush Limbaugh teached them.

BTW - An Ashcroft wanna' be and potentially dangerous
zealot named Jim Talent is
running for Missouri senate against Jean Carnahan. Carnahan is the widow of our former
governer who died right before the Nov.2002 Senate election and still defeated Ashcroft.
Talent was narrowly defeated in '02 for Governor
and has an fundamentalist axe to grind.
If you think Ashcroft is a bit scary, wait until you see this guy.
We breed a strange brew here in Missouri.
May whatever higher power there is spare us.
Matt, thanks for that, and keep an eye on that Talent fellow for us.
If he's scarier than Ashcroft, Bush will likely appoint him to some
important position so he can teach us all "to live the way God wants."
Scary stuff, indeed.
